I love how you get straight into the exercise without any waffle at the beginning and then introduce yourself and thank us at the end, love your style, very different to other teachers I have followed.
Thank you for the encouraging comment. The short answer is that I am different. I'm trying to bring to the world a deeper, more effective way to do Somatics. Your comment is very encouraging. Thank you.
Thank you for such a good lesson, for me today. I think you did a beautiful thing. I am also still figuring it out. I suggest that what we see in others often is in us, too. Greetings Brittany, I am so glad you are having some time to explore in this way. You see, it's hiding in us. It runs in the background at a high simmer. You have the power to regain control of it, to teach it, to be softer in these places. Here is a related standing movement: *Standing Relax for your Arching Back & Back Ribs | Emotion and the Tension of your back.* Anger, Impatience, Restlessness. I am interested in any way to get this self-empowering method out to the world. We could have a zoom meeting to compare notes.
I know this morning I need this and which move ment do you have that's might be simular, lying, standing, this sitting heeled, not so much with my lower back this AM , but,I think its because my hips are tight, right.? Maybe 😅Thanks Eric.
Greetings, This is likely a far more advanced movement than you are ready for. When you contract a places of the body, you are bringing two parts toward each other. That is the closing. When your relax out of that contraction, the parts move away from each other as you relax. That is the opening. Please consider starting at the beginning with either of these two play lists: *Start here. Begin your Somatics Experience Here playlist:* ua-cam.com/play/PLFLw4vgr7ayiIX9O0hRsMwyxhaK4LTXXF.html *Free Intro to Somatics Course, Look Deeper, Where you're stuck is hidden, playlist* : ua-cam.com/play/PLFLw4vgr7ayhL0zxrFjrpw0ok2298dZEG.html If you are beginning, and If you have a body that is hard to sense, to feel, when you make these contractions, apply your attention to make the movement controlled. Can you control the movement of these places? With this movements approach, control supersedes sensing. One objective is to reconnect to the places your brain has forgotten how to move. Do you feel more relaxed after the movement. That is what they are designed to do. To help you teach our brain to let the muscles relax.

Timing. I needed that. Thanks a bunch..x
I am glad you are looking at those back rib breathing spaces. I practice there a lot. It's so easy for the back ribs to be stuck in contraction.
l thank you for help us getting more tight spots to loosen, lengthen and breath.
You're so very welcome! That's exactly what this is. Thank you for caring for yourself, for getting unstuck, in this way.
