Maybe off topic but have you tested anything like tandem anchoring by using a bar to separate anchor chain about 10ft or so down chain from two anchors with sort of a bridle?
I really have no idea. Cannot guess. However, the Fortress website claims that holding power for the FX-85 ranges between 3,150 lbs. (Soft Mud) and 21,000 lbs. (Hard Sand).
@flygoodwin thank you I appreciate your time and effort. I have a 60ft float home on pontoons approx 35k pounds. I'm going to anchor it with a 62lb cqr and a 40lb cqr and a 42lb danforth lol I sure hope that's enough to hold here. Either that or I drop 1600$ for a Vulcan anchor thats 73lbs I think that might be my best option
Great to still hear your usual wisdom.😊
Another great video, thank you
Nice to see a new video !
Thanks
Thanks for the maintenance tip.

how do i donate to this guy?
John, could you do a review of anchoring in preparation of bad weather? Two anchors off the bow at °360 veering and straight line prose and cons?
Great idea 👍
Very applicable scenario for the cruising world.
Correction, Steve.
@sv panope how much holding power do you estimate the fortress fx85 has?? 5k-10 thousand pounds???

can you just woj up the holes with sikaflex when they are new to stop this?
Might trap moisture when the inevitable leak occurs.
My question is, why the holes in the first place ? And once there is covered up, is it ok ?
No roll bars for me…
