Finally, a full, clear and concise explanation of the 2015+ Retrofit kit. The online instructions are hard to understand and your step by step approach, with high quality camera as well as perfect lighting is a top notch production. Thank you so much Brian for these videos. Best on UA-cam by FAR!
Your right lighting is good, speaks clear, camera is spot on can’t wait to see the chq v2 fmic with hot side cold side on automatic or manual transmission with couplers holding pipes attached
Luglio Caesar we will get back to doing videos very soon. We had our annual event which put the videos on hold. More coming soon for sure - next up will be lowering springs and torque arm insert
Great video thanks. I bought a used 2015 wit this kit installed and the air filter had holes in the cloth and the end caps were cracked. Carbon fiber housing but cheap end caps. I bought the replacement filter and saw that in addition to everything else, the filter had been installed reversed (end caps swapped) so I can correct that too. After watching this video, I can go in and check for any other installation or maintenance errors in this system. Your video is so good, I was able to confirm that the large end of the filter cone goes on the intake side at 17:22 which matches the sticker on the replacement filter and further confirms that the previous owner swapped ends after cleaning. It's a shame they don't use oiled cloth like K&N, I believe they would last much longer. This filter media looks more like the non-woven fabric they make N-95 masks out of, so I think it might be a bad idea to oil it. Again, great video! super clear and very helpful.
Aloha Brian, I can not thank you enough....I thought telling my clients how to map and chart through the tax laws was detailed....I enjoy your videos. Your father gave you a detailed mind? Over 60 year old surfer CPA Honolulu, Hawaii and Palermo, Sicily during my off time :) P.s. Just bought an Abarth 2017 but still going to keep my 1985 Toyota 4runner 22RE. I put a new timing chain, timed the EFI, replaced the oil pump and was standing in the engine bay in this old truck, LOL. P.s.s. Also like working on my racing moped (Honda two stroke), Suzuki 400 DRZ and of course my offroad Dultron ultra Scooter!
Thank you Bryan, Was doing some work on my El Topo. That T hose had come off some time back ,I guess? Had this weird Pcv code that wouldn’t go away. Found the hose, watched the video. Fixed 👍
Like the other comments, this video is really helpful with the 2015+ retrofit parts. Can you post what size vacuum hoses and T adapter you need to retrofit the intake. I bought a used EC 2.0 intake for my 2015 Abarth.
This video was so helpful! I am wondering if you have an instruction or video to install oil catch can from eurocompulsion with the 4.1v and retrofit kit for the 2015 fiat abarth. That would be great.
Thanks for the video! Has anyone here stacked a Forge or MPX blow off plate with the GFB DV+ w/ extended bolts from Modern Performance? I hear some folks can't get the stacked fitment installed on the Abarth. I stacked this on my Dodge Dart just fine. Both have Eurocompulsion intakes (v4.1 on Abarth).
The intake is in the engine bay up high. There are no issues with rain getting in at all. This is not a fender well style intake. You are good to run this intake under just about any condition
Lol that’s about how long it takes to install this one. We try and be as detailed as possible so everyone knows exactly what to do. It’s not difficult to install. Thanks for watching!
@@NGENCustomsandPerformance Ok thanks . I saw somewhere that it’s not recommended because it will throw off the factory settings unless you do a tune to accommodate the mods
I wonder why all this "stores" ngen, eurocompulsion, torke, etc.etc. don't have a valid address that you can actually google it and see oh yes there's a store down there....weird... I better keep my money in my pocket and save headaches Lol....
We have been in business for over 7 years (same for eurocompulsion) so not sure what you are implying here. We have provided excellent products and support for thousands and thousands of fiat and abarth enthusiasts. If there is something you need, I can assure you that you would get it and receive the support you are looking for.

You have the best Abarth tutorials!!!

NGEN Customs and Performance any chance of doing a FMIC for the 500 Abarth soon?...
All your videos are incredible. Super helpful, clear explanations & excellent audio & video. Much appreciated for your efforts!!
Thank you! We have a lot more planned! Thanks for subscribing!

Love this channel. Bryan explains everything so clearly, it makes everything seem easy.
hugolafhugolaf thanks man! Appreciate it very much!
Well this is incredibly convenient timing, great video! I have a 2015 too so this is perfect.
draginator6 thanks for watching and glad this helps!
Thank you Bryan,
Was doing some work on my El Topo.

Found the hose, watched the video.
Fixed 👍
Glad to hear it was an easy fix!
Great video but I was hoping for a short demo of how it sounds after all that work.
Still running, great,
I will post some videos😎
Wow, finally a complete wonderful explanation . Wish I had seen it when I did my install originally.
Thanks!!

that one line that can be tricky is the hardest part of the install. Dish soap helped but could I have used silicone spray?
A good job 🥇🏆🔝

Is their a carb legal intake for the 2018 Fiat 500? All the ones I checked seem to end on 2016.
How is this in the rain? My abarth is my daily and sometimes there's inclimate weather. I'm worried rain will get in and ruin stuff
The intake is in the engine bay up high. There are no issues with rain getting in at all. This is not a fender well style intake. You are good to run this intake under just about any condition
Do you sell just the retrofit kit? I want to buy one
I would also like just the retrofit kit.
Top 👍
Can you close the hood without modification?
Absolutely. Closed without issue.
@@NGENCustomsandPerformance awesome, off to purchase 😎
Do you need to tune the car after putting the intake?
No you do not need to tune the car afterwards
Can you put the engine cover back on with the intake in?
No you cannot
What's better this system or the k&n kit?
This one hands down
Might be the only thing I add/change. The stock one is crap and I always find small dust particles and sand in the tubes and around the filter..
Awesome.......
What about the red factory cover?
It’s not reused
Will this fit the non turbo model
No this only works for the turbo models
Will it fit in 2015 Abarth automatic?
Yes it will
The first version of Abarth 500 look so easy for Forge or Bmc Kit, but the new version look so long to install with hose and pipe cutting
2015+ models take longer due to additional emission components
No engine light?
Is there any engine cover ?
It doesn’t come with an engine cover and yes it fits a 2015 500 Abarth automatic
@@NGENCustomsandPerformance just installed one today!! Great video
This is literally the most complicated intake install I have ever seen. Jesus Christ. It took me 20m to install my intake on my Fiesta ST

@@NGENCustomsandPerformance Your install video was fantastic, just never seen so many steps for a CAI install! LOL
So the cover doesn't fit back on? Way to leave that part out
@@ltoppi no it does not go back on
But if you do this mod you need to do a tune , don’t you ?
No tune required
@@NGENCustomsandPerformance Ok thanks .

this is way to technical ..i think ill go with the ram Air induction kit..less stress
What a pain in the balls for 1 hp 😅
This seems like a pita.
It’s not bad. For 2015 and up models, there are a few more steps but it doesn’t take too long.
