The first time Bhavish Aggarwal walked into the YourStory office more than 12 years ago, he was still a budding entrepreneur, excited to demonstrate the Ola Cabs app on his phone for me and the team. Today, as he walks me around the Ola Electric campus in Krishnagiri, Hosur, a 500-acre state-of-the-art facility aptly named the ‘Future Factory’, he is every bit as eager and energetic as he was at 24.
Between then and now, the IITian-turned-entrepreneur’s business interests have expanded. From connecting passengers with cabs and offering fintech services, the 37-year-old has ventured into building electric vehicles, making cells, and setting up an AI company. He expects to launch two IPOs next year. Matrix Partners India’s Avnish Bajaj calls Bhavish a “digital industrialist” and it is a fitting moniker.

Was waiting for part 2. Having lived in Bangalore my whole life, just 4 years ago it would have been unimaginable that Bangalore would get an EV Penetration rate of 80% or more within 2-3 years. This revolution happened because of Ola. Aether Energy had been here for long but it wasn't able to create the EV hype, Ola moved quickly and took over the EV market within a year. This in turn catalyzed the whole EV industry: companies, investors, consumers, to move and adopt faster and helped the city as a whole. I can assure you, among all the companies, Ola SINGLE HANDEDLY accelerated India's progress towards an EV ecosystem(for 2 wheelers) having witnessed this first hand living in Bangalore.
At the start of the video, time on Bhavish's watch was about 12:20. At the end of it, about 2:05 pm. That's a 100+ mins of conversation, of which only 40 mins have been shown, post editing. How is this then "unfiltered"? When less than half the conversation has actually been uploaded?
It's exciting to see how Bhavish and his team are positioning India as a tech leader on the global stage. 🇮🇳
Bhavish is indeed a catalyst for the EV revolution in India and a key enabler towards the electric mobility ecosystem for India. More power to you Bhavish.
Extremely Bad experience with Ola S1 Air
Recently bought the Scooter, but to my utter dismay it stopped running just after covering 5 kms. Had to manually push my brand new scooter to home for almost 4 kms on the very first day of delivery. To add to the agony was lackadaisical attitude of staff and service team, who have not responded to the service request even after 3 days of breakdown of a brand new scooter. Totally frustrated with the product. Don't ever buy this

Thank you Shradha and Bhavish for doing this. Never seen such a simple yet insightful and inspiring talk by an entrepreneur. No sugar coating, no apprehension to be disliked, just pure expression of thought. It's so good to know the real Bhavish. He spoke about Dharma and the value system that I liked the most. We middle-class children have been instilled with values and we stick by it come what may.
Really loved Bhavish's honesty, clarity of thought, and sky-high dreams. He is truly an inspiration for the youth of India and he has set the bar really high. And what do I say about Shradha? She makes everyone so comfortable. The conversation should always be free-flowing and impromptu and I totally enjoyed both the parts.

OLA electric is not making their own chips/silicon, they use the silicon from an existing automotive vendor (like NxP, Infineon or ST), not sure why he said he sits with his silicon/chip designer when there isn't any 😂. Timestamp: 14:10

बहुत बेकार सर्विस है मैंने ओला S1 ले रखी है, करीब एक लाख चालीस हजार खर्च करने के बावजूद परेशानी झेलनी पड़ रही है। गाड़ी पिछले 12 दिन से बंद है, शिकायत दर्ज करवाने, बार बार ग्राहक सेवा नंबर पर संपर्क करने के बावजूद कोई शिकायत निवारण नहीं हो रहा है। कोई सुनने वाला नहीं है।
तरह तरह की दलाली लेकर दूसरों के बच्चों की रोटी छीनेगी तो दलाल तू सुखी कैसे हो सकता है
