Daniel Jones was not a top prospect coming out... Stop it. He played at fuckin duke and had a mediocre career there. Sub 7.0 YPA his entire career which still holds true in the Nfl.
Sure some pundits had him mocked to Giants cause they heard rumors Giants liked him. But he was not a top 50 talent. 2019 was a very weak QB class, and Giants sold themselves the idea that DJ who shared Eli college coach would do well to learn behind Eli. It was massive reach that has failed. DJ stinks!

Daniel Jones is a decent qb, but just that just decent. He's not the guy. But a number of teams have gotten caught up in severely overpaying QBs, and now suffering the repercussions and intense pressure that comes with having a QB that is not going to take them to the Super Bowl. It's seems got caught up in the race to pay top dollar for their QB, receivers as well and not it's put a spotlight on all those high priced guys.
Think about it. Eli and his camp handpicked Jones as a "good gesture" claiming he reminded them of Eli. 🤔 Thinking, why would a struggling QB ever pick a QB capable of taking his job. Jones was a sabotage pick so Eli could keep his job.
I heard the Giants were scouting Herbert. I think the order came down from on high (the Maras) to go with Jones because they saw him as an Eli clone
He should be a third string QB.
They should move on. Herbert wanted to do his senior year in college. He wasn't ready for the NFL. That's the owner interferes with doing what was right. They wouldn't wait and draft Herbert a year later.
Gettleman made this mess by picking a subpar QB from Duke.
Where he picked them with the sixth overall pick, he probably could’ve gotten him in the second or third round

@@4ransom437 Dak had more than Jones ever had. Dak had Dez, Witten, Cooper, Lamb, and more. Dak had some of the best in the NFL and still couldn't do anything Jones never had such weapons. You give it up, Dak has never taken the Cowboys anywhere and he never will.
