Sharra Kutty, member of the Leela Youth Dance Company from 2018-2022, performs Kalia Daman, the story of the battle between Lord Krishna and the demon serpent Kalia. Kalia Daman was performed as a part of a full-length traditional solo. Sharra Kutty studied under Leela Dance Collective Co-Artistic Director and former Leela Youth Dance Company Artistic Director, Rachna Nivas for over ten years and performed her graduating solo under her guidance and mentorship. Sharra's solo was supported by the musicianship of renowned artists Ben Kunin (sarod), Jay Gandhi (bansuri) and Mir Naqibul Islam (tabla).
