WOW! How did I miss this one. I'm a huge fan of the story, read the book, seen all the movies but this one until now. This version is the creepiest best by far!
I have known of this movie for many years. More than I dare mention! It is a truly mesmerising adaptation. Barrymore is wonderful - especially as Hyde. The whole thing really feels like Victorian London. The scene with the China men is great. Although I prefer the 1931 Fredric March version, I will certainly be returning to this movie in the near future!
Idk if my comment would be suitable but… here ppl ought to be skilled in the language or else they will lose their thread… literally. The writing appears faster than a ray of light now and then. Other than that, it’s a masterpiece (so cliche I know) Btw, the resemblance the main character to Floriano Peixoto, a Brazilian actor, is startling

Same! Jekyll and Hyde is my favourite story of all time, and I always love seeing all the versions of it

Interesting piece of cinematography.
👍to 👀this one,Thanks 😃
This version of Mr. Hyde always seemed more scarier due to how creepy his mannerisms and movement is.
No wonder this is the earliest version, as they say “ the first is always mesmerizing “

the shape of the head of Hyde is a tad bit creepy. Compared to when he is Jekyll.
