I’ve got a T25i with a dc42” deck. The cut is terrible. They ride like crap like you said the seats are garbage. After watching your video on add foam to your seat I pull mine apart and had 1” added to it and vinyl. The only reason I run a Walker is because we bag a lot of residential properties. Other wise we run a cheetah 72”, SVR2 61”, and a 32” wordlawn stander. If we didn’t bag grass we would not own a Walker. As long as Walker has been making these with very little changes you’d think they’d be able to address these issues. It not like they don’t know about them. Great video love the honest opinion!
Not the worst for me by far, that would be Wrights decks. I love the 56 I've had multiples and other than the issue with the side, it performs for us here in the northeast every time
I’ve never had an issue with finding my Walker uncomfortable, or it. cutting bad. The only issue I had is it’s too damn expensive and I mow faster with a walk behind.
I just bought one of walkers new R22 models with the 54” deck. It’s just what I expected after running my fathers B series and my brothers old 94 16 horse mower. The B has a 56”and the old 94 has a 54” deck. Both great mowers. My R22 cuts amazing just like the old walker mowers. I’m not a professional lawn guy by any means but I figured a mower that can last 30 years would be a good investment. I’m also not in a huge toot about ground speed while mowing, I like a good quality cut and the walkers always deliver the best cut.
I have had the same model T for Twenty Years! With just dealer maintenance once a year. No major failures! You spoke about the noise buy some noise canceling headset! Walker is a great faith believing company. Not some big corporate! If you want to stand or ride those nascar machines you will feel your age each day! One is set up with the 3 bag bagger with the assist on the deck. The other 60" is set up with all the brackets to move the bagger from the one mower to the other in case of a breakdown. I also run the 30" exmark walk behind. Next spring I'm buying another 60" x-one and a 48" super s stand on from hustler
I bought two Walkers last year. I made my decision primarily because of your many videos. I have a 2005 T25I with 1700 hours and it never breaks down. The second is the B27I with a big wheel kit comfort seat and 52" mulch deck that is my daily. The T is my back up and spring and fall cleanup machine. Worked at Skag dealership, we had a lot of problems with Scag standers we were always welding on cracks pumps & motor issues, very impressed with Bobcat mowers 👍
funny you say that. i had been going back and forth on wanting a scag v ride for close to a year, but i hadnt been able to find one, or been able to bring myself to pull the trigger on one ( i have 3 other scag mowers- 61" cheetah, 52" hydro w/b, and a 48" floating deck hydro w/b) about a month ago i had started "checking online" for v rides again and then randy posted a review video on his v ride and i was like....dam thats a sign, so shortly after i went out and bought the first one i could find in good shape
I have a walker b 23i with 52" mulch and b 23i with 56" sd, which I run those 2 majority of the time. I have walker mtl31 with 48" collection for leaves in the fall only. Last but not least I have ferris IS3100 w 61" deck. Comfort is second to none. Its been wet last few seasons, its heavy so rut up a little and fairly big for some yards. Thats why I run both b's, light and nimble, climb anywhere without rutting up and tearing the turf. They float fantastically across soft ground without getting stuck. Only pull out the ferris if I get a call to knock down big properties.
We have had a Walker mower since 2000. I got another new one in 2012. The first one has about 5000 hours on it and is on it's 3rd engine, but we set it aside a couple of years ago and only use the newer one along with 2 Deeres with 60 inch decks and a Grasshopper with a 60 also. I'm just about fully retired from this business after 35 years, and I respect the Walker for having a great cut with their decks, and their standard seat is pretty bad. It slopes downward and is rather hard. I finally put on the thicker comfort seat a couple of years ago on the 06 Model. The older Walker is a model T GHS 48" deck amd the newer one has a 52" GSH deck. They both cut real good since new. I also have a 60" side discharge deck for them that I hardly used, but it also cut very well. I would like to try the 74" deck to just mow my yard where my business is, and relax a little...
I've had interest in a walker mower for a long time and have been seriously considering one, however when you mentioned the ride, well maybe not since I have some back issues and need a mower that isn't as jarring. Thanks for the review.

How many bushels and or gallons does that walker hold? Don’t the V-ride powered bagger shred the leaves though so you can fit more? And you can take the bagger off of the v-ride and dump it into the truck
The Walker is 10 bushel which is more than the v Ride. You have it backwards, the v Ride does pretty well chopping up but nothing like the Walker. Walker has Versimow X blades, then the turbine that both chop it up. Because of how the oscillator works in the hopper, it packs it in so tight it's like a bail of hay. I looked at the Walker mowers and the price tag, maybe someday I can afford one. I cut around 30 lawns weekly and I'm right around the corner from you in Cheektavagas.
I do not have a Walker, but I do run the Exmark Navigator. From demoing a Walker, I much prefer a Navigators cut. You are correct though, when you say nothing cut nicer than a Walker ( I will go so far as to say this style of mower when bagging).
I love the cut quality of the walker mower. Though I would like to switch to a Stand on to just not sure if i would be happy with the quality of cut. They really do need a better seat!
Never ran a walker. They look little rough riding. We have plenty of bumpy lawns around here so standing only way to go.I love your fleet of standers.I have scag v rides.we call it lawn surfing....lol.
I have a d walker great on fuel with a 42 mulch, 48 collection, 48sd, 60sd belt, I do not ever use the 60 due to tire skid on hilly ground. Walkers are great on flat ground but horrible on hills. In my area people do not want to pay for collection what time is spent. I use a 60 scag tt, 60 exmark, jd 720 54 for the hills. I use my walker on my fine cut lawns only
I find I have to double my time for collection, the time to return to the trailer with a full bin, the time to empty the trailer when full it's a pain I quit doing collection for full time mowing
I have a friend who has been in business for 4 years has a 4 year old walker with 3000hr has 2 or 3 guys does full collection uses a dump trailer and another truck to haul the clippings and dumps at my place 2x a week he uses a tarp to transfer the clipping to trailer
I've got 6 walkers, two t30s two t25s one t27 one b23i. Purchased a scag vride2 52" last year and yesterday just bought another one off showroom floor. I'm tired of walker fix cost and they are slower. Easier to bag/not bag with scag, scag takes up less trailer space. Walker parts availability is crap and over priced. They raised their prices $2,100 on the same machine a year later when I was going to purchase another t27i. Scag setup is over 6 thousand less, and that's with the power bagger for the scag vride2...
Exactly some of the reasons I switched. They will eventually price themselves completely out of the commercial market. They never held more than 4% anyway
@@CountrysideStrong walker needs to offer better warranties, engine options, fairer part prices to name just a few of the main issues. Scags are robust, parts are readily available, and prices are fair. I can't tell you how many times I think to myself before going out that I hope I have no issues with any of the walkers being ran. From new to 2200+ hours it seems as though there is always a decent possibility that something can act up.
@@CountrysideStrong I get ya. Here nobody runs ztrs in my area but there are a couple guys with walkers and it's -jealous- fun to watch them do the cleanups
Ok, how hilly is your terrain where you’re at? I’m in southwest Missouri and my town is very hilly. But I have the exmark navigator which is a copy of the walker mtghs and it does fairly well on hills. But how does the bigger ones do that don’t have the bagger box? I’m a mid mount sit down guy, but those mowers with the floating decks really tempt me because of all our uneven ground. The navigator does a beautiful job for that reason. But is it worth putting up with the walker company and all the stuff that they make you buy extra that every other mower has as standard equipment?
Ok, I understand. But it’s unfortunate that they try to sell uniqueness and exclusiveness and it’s very costly. For example I did buy a used walker once and 3 weeks later the engine blew. It was their old overhead cam engine and they were gonna make me buy some kind of kit so that I could even replace and reinstall a new engine. And they seemed to have a general unwillingness to help. So I said forget it and I scrapped this lawnmower and bought the navigator. New. It’s been a great machine. So are my John Deere’s, I ran one almost 4000 hrs and still had original pto clutch and blade spindles and bearings. So each to their own I guess. Thanks for your input.
@@Sandridge-w3l well all that had nothing to do with walker. You bought it used and who the hell knows how it was treated, maintained, etc. Also the unwillingness to help falls on the dealer not walker themselves. You have shitty dealer support. As far as the 4000 hrs on a clutch, 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 you're prob the only one
Enjoyed your comments. I’m a beginner who just bought my first house. Got interested in lawn mowers during the process of searching for a mower for our 1.1-acre property. Ended up with a Gravely ZTXL 42”, but the Walkers are really cool. I just don’t need that much mower for 1.1 acres.
Nice video Randy! I have never owned or run a Walker, but have heard plenty of good things about them. I don't think they would work well for my lawns that I currently have given the volume of grass I deal with cutting bi-weekly here in SC, especially when the Bahiagrass kicks in. I have run JD for 10yrs and love them, don't think they get enough credit in my opinion. I have always used a ZTR but hope to maybe add a stander in the near future. Demoed a few units and was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed them. I do have some dealer limitations for some brands but we shall see😜🤷♂️. Keep grinding and stay safe out there buddy!!💪👊💯
So when we had family as crew leads either myself, brother or father we had walker mowers. Nothing and I mean nothing beats how the cut. We went away from walker mowers because of employees. They don't care about your equipment, even the best ones don't care as much as the owner. Every time we turned around it was always one of them was down for something major it seemed because employees don't give a crap. They are here for a paycheck and that's it. It's not their.money on the line. Because of that we got rid of them completely. We run only walk behinds with Velke units on some and they walk behind the rest. Much cheaper machines and much easier for repairs and maintenance as well. We also run alot of hills pushing 30 to 35 degrees so walk behinds are much safe for us as well now. We are in north west Nevada in carson city.
Love my Walker B27i with 52" mulching deck. It seems to do much better on the side hill than my JD zero turn did. Great at spreading out the clippings without clumping. I have the 18x10.5-10 tires and comfort seat. Seems to ride fairly smooth to me, but I'm not using it everyday professionally. Love your videos!
I love and will probably always run walkers. But they are pricing themselves out of the market. I know prices of everything are going up but a c model walker should not be $12 to $13k

I'm not really sure what they're made of. Just regular dampener shocks
@@CountrysideStrong one of mine broke but I dont have any clue of their purpose.
I run a residential Cub Cadet ZRT 42inch deck with a steering wheel. Lol This year I bought the Wright 32inch stander B brand new and could not use it all spring. It's just to damn heavy. I looked at the Walker mowers and the price tag, maybe someday I can afford one. I cut around 30 lawns weekly and I'm right around the corner from you in Cheektavagas.
Ya the price is insane. Walker is just killing themselves with their prices. Go to Wegmans, Kyle usually has used walkers for sale
I do not have a Walker, but I do run the Exmark Navigator. From demoing a Walker, I much prefer a Navigators cut. You are correct though, when you say nothing cut nicer than a Walker ( I will go so far as to say this style of mower when bagging).
Makes a big difference for sure
Where can I get the versimow blades?
@@JamesHoward-f1l I don't think they're even in business anymore from what I heard. But they had a website
@@CountrysideStrong what is the next best thing?
@JamesHoward-f1l there isn't for Walker
Great information. Are you guys going to G. I. E. This year. 🤙😎👍✌️
Absolutely we'll all be there
I love the cut quality of the walker mower. Though I would like to switch to a Stand on to just not sure if i would be happy with the quality of cut. They really do need a better seat!
Nice, you found the comfort you were looking for
Ya I should of bought that high lift from you
Never ran a walker. They look little rough riding. We have plenty of bumpy lawns around here so standing only way to go.I love your fleet of standers.I have scag v rides.we call it lawn surfing....lol.
Lol those v Rides are great machines for sure.
What do you use to repaint the underside of the deck? Thanks
I'm going to blast it, prime it and paint with heavy duty tractor paint
I have a d walker great on fuel with a 42 mulch, 48 collection, 48sd, 60sd belt, I do not ever use the 60 due to tire skid on hilly ground. Walkers are great on flat ground but horrible on hills. In my area people do not want to pay for collection what time is spent. I use a 60 scag tt, 60 exmark, jd 720 54 for the hills. I use my walker on my fine cut lawns only
Yup, makes sense to me. If they're not paying for bagging I'm not doing it
I find I have to double my time for collection, the time to return to the trailer with a full bin, the time to empty the trailer when full it's a pain I quit doing collection for full time mowing
Sometimes that's true, sometimes it's faster.... All depends on the lawn
I have a friend who has been in business for 4 years has a 4 year old walker with 3000hr has 2 or 3 guys does full collection uses a dump trailer and another truck to haul the clippings and dumps at my place 2x a week he uses a tarp to transfer the clipping to trailer
Yup that's how allot of guys do that
I have been wanting an MT for bagging in the fall. Just hard to find in my area
Ya they're not common in mine either. When I ran them daily I was the only one around
So how much for that grammar seat? If its available that is.
I'll figure it out and update
Great video
Thanks buddy
I’ve been checking around for a comfort seat for my MT and I found one on Pro Parts Direct for $389…would that be priced about right?
Ya that's about right for the leather one
WALKER FOR LIFE BABY
We're actually running a walker today so there will be some footage on that
I've got 6 walkers, two t30s two t25s one t27 one b23i.
P.s. love your vids, you have quality in them and it's great to see your son working with you. Will be a dad this Friday, first one, a boy
@@beernpizza761 thank you and congrats on the baby
Is there a reason you go with the walkers over the exmark navigator/ toro direct collect?
Never run the others but walker has always been the original so....
@@CountrysideStrong I get ya. Here nobody runs ztrs in my area but there are a couple guys with walkers and it's -jealous- fun to watch them do the cleanups
I hear that
What’s your opinion on Scott’s fertilizer?
Garbage
Waitaminute, what's on those shelves next to the Walker? Is that a record collection??
It surely is. Tons and tons of vinyl
Is the high cost and time I’m maintenance worth it from what you earn from it
Absolutely. And they don't require any more maintenance than any other brand that's a myth
Walker mower is good mower
They build really good machines for sure
Ok, how hilly is your terrain where you’re at? I’m in southwest Missouri and my town is very hilly. But I have the exmark navigator which is a copy of the walker mtghs and it does fairly well on hills. But how does the bigger ones do that don’t have the bagger box? I’m a mid mount sit down guy, but those mowers with the floating decks really tempt me because of all our uneven ground. The navigator does a beautiful job for that reason. But is it worth putting up with the walker company and all the stuff that they make you buy extra that every other mower has as standard equipment?
I love my walker and I'll never get rid of it regardless of what they do. I'm not a fan of mid mount. I've owned many and just don't like them
Ok, I understand.
I do not have a walker but would enjoy having one as my bagger system👊🏼🧔🇺🇸
Oh they're worth it for sure, they do excellent
Nice sneakers 👍
Thank you lol
Enjoyed your comments.
I’m a beginner who just bought my first house.
Got interested in lawn mowers during the process of searching for a mower for our 1.1-acre property.
Ended up with a Gravely ZTXL 42”, but the Walkers are really cool. I just don’t need that much mower for 1.1 acres.
Well thank you for watching
Ya they might not be so great for you
@@CountrysideStrong There is a dealer like 5 min from my work though...lol 😝
Perfect
Yea employees will never care as much
there's a good seat that oem use on ebay it's 600 bucks but worth it
An actual Walker seat? Not sure about that. You have a link?
no it the same suspension seat on all the high end mowers ferris scag jd etc just a different color it's worked out great and makes a huge difference
You installed it on your Walker?
no not a walker but most seats bolt right up not sure about walker though
Just walker mowers since 1985 chain driven was the first one. With Az grass its better if its pick up.
I can understand that👍
I would like to have a walker walk behind mower for my own personal yard, but they discontinued them years ago.
Ya I never got to use one
Love my Walker B27i with 52" mulching deck. It seems to do much better on the side hill than my JD zero turn did. Great at spreading out the clippings without clumping. I have the 18x10.5-10 tires and comfort seat. Seems to ride fairly smooth to me, but I'm not using it everyday professionally. Love your videos!
Thanks for the feedback and thanks for watching
I love and will probably always run walkers. But they are pricing themselves out of the market. I know prices of everything are going up but a c model walker should not be $12 to $13k
Ya they never held more than a 4% of the commercial market and it'll be even less soon
You'll have a much stronger lawn during a drought if dont bag i mulch
I have an exmark navigator 48” deck awesome machine
I've heard that
@@CountrysideStrong ya exact same as a walker just better built IMO but can’t put bigger decks on like with a true walker
@@Brendan6602 oh ok I gotcha
@@CountrysideStrong if I was u I’d look into one i know u like your a walker guy but definitely worth looking into and the new ones come with same seat as the lazer z u had
Hi Brendan was thinking about buying a new Navigator .Do you recommend? Any problems with hydros or belts Thankyou in advance Louis.
Santa should bring Billy a B27i.
Walker should give us one😉👍
For the price you pay, the maintenance requirements, the back beating you take, the extra maybe 5% in cut quality, isn't worth it
I'd say it's allot more than 5% in cut quality of you've ever spent some serious time on them on multiple properties but you do have some really good points otherwise
You need t won one to notice the quality difference. It's like 100% , and it makes some crappy lawns look like something, and good ones Like golf courses.
@@salonsoares2179 I can agree with that

Make sure you flip up your Walker mower deck when you have it parked on your trailer.
Only when I don't have room to leave it down. It's not supposed to be flipped up all the time
