  • Russia's war in Ukraine has drawn renewed attention to Europe's role on the world stage. Having displayed a unified response to Russian aggression by imposing sanctions on Moscow and helping millions of Ukrainian refugees, the continent is now facing other urgent challenges including the cost-of-living crisis, energy shortages and an increase in extreme weather.
In this video we explore how the European Union's unique history informs its response to various crises, how national and common interests collide and how the next decades could be shaped by new trading relationships, particularly with Africa.
We also consider Europe's challenges in the field of innovation and ask what needs to be done for the continent to achieve its goal of becoming a global leader in the green transition.

The average person has never been so poor. Millions of families are struggling financially as living expenses hit the highest levels in more than four decades. Over 60% of our country lives paycheck to paycheck and about 40% earns poverty wages. Even after working all their lives, more than a quarter of older people have no savings and many believe they will never be able to retire in dignity, while around 55% of elderly people try to survive on an income of less than €25,000 a year. My primary concern is how to grow my reserve of €300k which has been sitting duck since forever with zero to no gains.

EU needs to centralize and unite if European nations need to hv any relevance in world politics in the future...Europe will hv to deal with rising economic powers like China, India, Indonesia and balance that with the US so if european nations need to stand any chance up against these nations then they hv to stay together. It's expensive to keep data alive. The minimum requirements for cyber security are to have at least a full backup. The most competitive companies save their data up to 5 times the whole data in just one backup. Data grows, ans this is a necessary step for a healthy cyber security. Code rely on scripts. These scripts are the keys to decipher the fragmented data. It's true we could just inscriptions, but under the dame encryption rules? All of the mold models we maybwant to implement become a key security issue that hackers may exploit. Now in days the scripts come with an estimated time to decipher the scripts. It's important to update the data before the estimation of key security is active. This is why internationally is hard to implement all codes. Because the infrastructure itself has to change to stay secure. This necessity becomes expensive. Specially because we are just talking about databases. The database grows when we do backups. Even the hear emitted from these databases start ti become an issue when scaling. When companies may not accommodate these necessary steps for security, the most logical option to keep the project alive is to past it to companies that may continue them. A solution is to create an international organizations, where databases may be promoted around the world easier. This would help companies scale up. Ultimately it's the choice of the owners. In most of the cases comes to the cost of maintaining the minimum requirements to where international technology has developed. It's possible to create an intercontinental infrastructure where we may share the necessary steps for the security to work. One idea could be to implement databases around the world interconnected with fiber optics. It would make security increase much, giving scripts more time to live. This would reduce cost for necessary updating. It would also become cheaper in the long run compared to the traditional copper connections.

Europe’s incompetent blundering into energy insecurity is the direct result of being a trading bloc that is committed to excluding trade with democracies outside the EU.
In the short term, there are three democratic and reliable energy suppliers in the world, and they are America, Canada and Australia. Europe has been conducting punitive trade actions against those countries for generations, particularly Australia.
In the mid term those same three countries are the only democracies that have the capacity to supply the sufficient material necessary to transition to green energy.
Given the reliability of democracies to supply competitive energy resources it is simply irrational that Europe looks to the countries of the Middle East and Africa who have substantial sovereign risk, to supply it with the resources that keep the lights on.
There’s an intellectual deficit in Europe that is led by France and Germany that finds it impossible to participate in a world of mutual benefit and like security with democracies. Unfortunately that means that Europe will continue to lurch from crisis to crisis instead of resolving fundamental issues of energy and resource security.

Great documentary with patchy solutions. Also, Kudos to makers for talking about economics and not talking about single word about soon to be worlds third largest economy. It shows severe lack of understanding of changing world.
