This is one of the best videos I’ve seen. You said you would rather work with the larger rocks on the bigger waterfalls but most of us DIYer’s don’t have access to nor equipment to move the bigger rocks. Seeing videos with smaller rocks and how to use them is so beneficial. Thank you so much.
Yes. I’ve watched all the videos. This is the best one for us ordinary folk. We would never be able to get our hands on big rocks. Or move them either. Brilliant. Thanks.
Im a retired Chef from NYC. Bought a farm in Asheville NC. We have an existing water feature that needs rebuilding just like this one. The work ethic here is terrible and if you get someone to show up whatever the job is it wont be done right. Watched all your vids. I thank you for posting them. You have given me the confidence that I can handle this project on my own. Thank you very much for the inspiration.
I am grateful that you reveal the behind the scenes of it all. It's a tutorial in each video. I really like this one because there are no machines. With my budget, I won't be importing rocks. Maybe someday. So this video lets me dream more realistically. LOL! Keep up the good work. Appreciate your channel
Thanks for the advice! I'm building my pond and waterfall next week. This is the style of waterfall that I'm looking to build. I'm a bit nervous, but these videos help a ton. Thanks again
NOTE; If it doesn't work the first time you can always take it apart and rework it. Then you get to build 2 water falls (twice the fun). It is all about the journey. Good Luck and have fun.
Great video - would love to see more on “How to” “do’s and don’t” on water fall construction. I live in CO and you are a bit too far away to hire :). Thanks
Thanks for doing a great job explaining the use of foam. I went through two vans WAY too quickly and $20 a can isn’t cheap if it isn’t being used correctly.
Dude! This is it! I've been looking at waterfalls for weeks trying to find the perfect waterfall design for my pond. I'm not saying mine is going to look exactly the same but the basic concept is exactly what I'm looking for. I'm hoping to start waterfall construction on my 19x22 in the next couple weeks and have been scouring the interwebz for info. Your videos are the best at showing how the pros mimic nature and are super inspiring! As a DIY guy after watching this video I feel a lot less stressed about getting the waterfall right. Now that I have the basic understanding of how water falls are built and general concept of what I want it seems like it's just a matter of starting at the bottom with the framing stones and letting them tell me where they need to go. The things that attract me to this style are: -It's not overly steep and volcano looking -It uses boulders all easily managed by one or 2 people -the twists and pools gives it character and doesn't look like a stairway -it has tons of places to add plants As much as I enjoy watching the big uber dollar builds I love watching videos of amazing looking water features that average people can afford more. This seems like a prime example of that. Great job!
bang up job my man!!!!!! You do such a great job explaining what your doing and how your doing, I have learned a lot form your channel. I appreciate it.
Way to go Jaak!!! I always love your work!!! Your an upbeat person, you enjoy what you do! Your photography(lov them wide angles!) and music brings it all home!!! PEACE BRO
You no of jack an the beanstalk....well this iis jack an the waterfalls the man can build a waterfall the master.creator of beautiful water featchers .....your the man jack!!!!!
Well done yet again, Jaak! That particular pond definitely had the ugly duckling scenario play out for it, thanks to you and your team. Hope all is well. Stay safe. Stay healthy.
I loveeeee your shows , I think I am ready to make my super pond, {VERY SCARY}, I had buy everything, but there is one question I have, how deep my pond have to be ,I live in Massachusetts. I am a 59 year old woman, well, this Saturday, who always have little pond, this time I will go for a big one, with my shovel , probably no big rock ether, because there are to heavy for me, but WHEN THERE IS A WILL THERE IS A WAY. So wish me luck, you make thing look very easy. Thank you.
Nice work. Wish you were on the west coast. We are planning 3 water feature projects on our property and would love to have you do the construction. You are by far my favorite water feature artist! I look forward to everyone of your videos.
Looks great Jaak! I love seeing these smaller projects. Do you have a video showing how you trim the liner? I’m always worried about wicking. Love your work 👍
I'm binge watching your episodes and watching all these transformations of botched jobs that you come in and fix! By the way you have a great team along with your great eye for natural looking and beautiful work!
Really enjoyed this back to basics explanation of this build. You and your team are the best. If this crazy epidemic passes do you intend on having another pond tour?
Atlantis Water Gardens that would be something to look forward to this year. I work in a city hospital and my pond has been essential to my down time unwinding. Stay healthy and I hope you have a busy pond season!
This became a really beautiful water feature! I have a question about the wall/terrace you made. How do you make sure the earth of the hill behind it doesn't flush through because of years of rainfall?
We’ve never used the foam, we’re in the Uk. What’s it called bud? It’s a great way of sealing it all up and gets away from concreting it all together. Great work guys!
Ay cool, Jaak! I finished my water feature, but i want to finish the rest of the yard before showcasing. It isnt as good as yours, but no one in Vegas has a flowing stream like this. Cant wait to show!
Thanks for getting back to me. I'm not sure if I want to repair and/or recreate or if I even can with the space I have. Need some ideas and need to know if I currently have an issue. Bought this house with the pond late last summer. Pond seems to lose water faster than I would expect.
Hi Jaak. I recently discovered your channel and I have binge watched every video. Your work is amazing! I especially love the waterfalls and streams. I live in Galveston, TX and I have a spot about 8’ by 8’ that I would like to install a pond. I have built two ponds in the past but I am now too old to dig. Can you recommend a contractor in the Houston area that does the same kind of naturalistic work done by your team? Thanks!
Love what you do! I have a challenge for you. I have a "path" around my pool. Probably 5 feet wide from pool to fence. Completely level. Would like to convert the path to streams and waterfalls to frame in 3 of 4 sides of pool. Possible? Under 10,000? Do you come to Florida?
Probably not. Need some elevation to work with to create waterfalls/stream. Best to look at small fountainscapes for solutions in that area. 10K sounds very light to fill that area with water features
Awesome work jaak, Building my own small waterfall to this size. Took away some very helpful tips. Just quick question on the moss. Is it artificial or the real thing? Thanks in advance
I'm scared...tired...spinning...and alone building my 3 tier liners falls which will then flow down flatstones into the pond with an additional 3' working waterwheel to the side and finally hope to conclude this dream with a low bridge so that I may sit and cool my feet as I happily relax to my music...ugh...lol...thx for all the great ideas but how much to rent you?...You would love my dinosaur creek...Ever venture to indianapolis? Jodi
I love this one. I've watched soo many of your videos before attempting to redo my own. The moss on the foam 🤩 -love that idea. And I think the smaller rocks at the bio-falla looks amazing... Thanks for all of your inspiration
Did you go to the aquascape school to learn how they do it ,or are you self taught, I thought about trying to go up north to learn from them, so I'd know how to do it right, I see you fix alot of errors, but your rock work is beautiful

The mossing is what I like the most. It does such a good job of maturing the waterfalls. We do the same thing out west with tumbleweeds 😜
Thanks for doing a great job explaining the use of foam. I went through two vans WAY too quickly and $20 a can isn’t cheap if it isn’t being used correctly.
Hey, Mark! Thanks for watching, glad we could help 💪
I want to see plumbing and filteration process in detail. Do u have any video?
I hope you and your family/ team are staying healthy and safe. As always, beautiful job.
🙏
Fantastic video, I'm building a Koi Pond now and learned several tricks I was wondering about. Super well done
Glad I could help!
I'm planning for a pond in my yard. Your videos are thankfully showing me design improvements that I need!
Awesome 👏
Damn good stuff! I need to make a waterfall on a much much smaller scale, but the principles are transfereable. Cheers!
Thanks, Hans! Yup, take what you learn and make it your own 💪
I love it. I'm building one similar and I want it to look like that ! Awesome job
Thank you! Let us know how it comes out 💪

Nice job, not to complicated and nice flow into pond
Nice reset and use of existing materials. I assume you were able to keep the cost down by doing this. Great work Jaak.

Flott video og waterfall. helt etter min smak. Du er flink. Jeg holder på med dambygging i min hage. Og det er en utfordring.
Come jaak. We all know everyone wants a volcano waterfall in there backyard. Lol. Great video . Again another masterpiece.

It really is!
What a transformation 👍 excellent
great work mate, love seeing your vlogs every week,
nice educational piece as well on the foaming

That's pretty big for my place. What would you do with a 7 foot by 3 foot area ?
What a great renovation!! Thanks Jaak!

About 2000 gph

Very nice renovation
This became a really beautiful water feature! I have a question about the wall/terrace you made. How do you make sure the earth of the hill behind it doesn't flush through because of years of rainfall?

Nice job man. What are using to cover the foam? Is that artificial grass or normal grass? I missed that.
We use moss
Beautiful work as always! Love your videos !
WOW can't believe that heron didn't fly away when you got close! ;-)

I love your work a lot!
However I do not agree on the existing waterfall being a failure.
It needed some love for sure, but it was not worthless.
Love the waterfall y'all 👍 The moss is a nice touch.
We agree!
Looks great!! Could you share a ballpark costs?
This renovation was about 9K
Where do order the moss?
Hey Jaak, long time watcher, first time commenter. What did something like that cost? I may need you to do a repair and change like this to mine.
This entire project was $8500
Thanks for getting back to me.
