Excellent intro to InDesign and orientation tutorial for beginners. Short, to the point, and yet quite comprehensive. Thank You for sparing the viewer from excessive narration! This was exactly what i was looking for.

For beginners like myself we need someone like you who can explain just the basic. Many videos I've watched go into too much detail and gets off track. You stayed on point demonstrating just about the basic tools.
With your videos my learning curve will shrink drastically. Thank you.

Thank, very helpful for someone familiar with other Adobe CC apps. All the other tutorials I found were way too long and/or geared toward people needing much more explanation. I just needed a quick run-through on the the toolbar.

Thank you for all of your great tutorials! However, I wish you would make a few more tutorials on InDesign, maybe you could make an example brochure for example and we could follow along to better understand the complete process and practice with the different tools. That'd be awesome.
I've been following your Illustrator and Photoshop tutorials for a while and they're very in depth and detailed and sometimes really specific - a good thing - but it feels like the InDesign tutorials don't go much further than just the basics.

Hey Maikel - that's good to know thanks! Typically, I do a lot more digital work nowadays and tend to use InDesign less in my day-to-day work flow. Definitely happy to do more InDesign tutorials though, and if you have any suggestions or ideas that'd be awesome too :)

You said the Free Transform tool wasn't anything special, but I learned the other day that if you use free transform on a text box, you can squash and stretch the text however you like. A heat feature if you need super narrow or super wide fonts.
So useful, I didn't even know there was the typography menu :)

Dansky I am a MA publishing student and having to cram this and Illustrator tutorials so I can do mock ups...weeding through so many tutorials that aren't organized well, too fast for beginners in their clicking about. Helpful tutorial! The biggest problem I faced when starting to learn In Design was that the program defaulted to the "Touch" work space, and I was confused as to why the program looked nothing like the tutorials I was encountering. You might add how to navigate the different work spaces in the beginning of the tutorial, in case anyone else is similarly thrown off.

+Dansky It's a desktop publishing class for adult students who are working on a degree in communications. Several of them are looking from jobs that involve making newsletters and other print documents. But I also stress ways they can use InDesign to make their resumes and business cards.
