Idea you can put into your universe/headcanon, cutie marks only appear when using a ton of magic, that way the CMC still have a reason to be a thing.

Ooo! I LOVE the darker fur for her! She's so beautiful! The lilac she is original For the line coloring. Not sure if this'll help make it faster. But I usually clip a layer on the lines, use lasso to just box in the area, bucket tool, and if needed clean up the area.

also ah yeah. I separated the line-art on a few different layers so it was easier to do (hair separately, legs furthest from the cam separately, etc.)

The thing I like about you addressing is how she wasn't fit to rule.
It was way too forced on someone who wasn't ready yet and then bam, Celestia just ditched her role when, in show, she's treated as God herself. So really weird. But this design is lovely, and it feels so much like her.

YEAH. It just felt really unnatural writing-wise, and especially kinda depressing considering that she'd then outlive all her friends and family :'V
Though I also think there's a way it could work, it's just not my cup o' tea.

I feel your pain re coloring the lines. I eventually got around it by duplicating the lineart, filling it, and changing the lineart layer to multiply or some other color inheriting effect. Boom, lines match the colors of whatever is underneath them!
