I think the reason the black men were portrayed that way is to refute the stereotype that black and white are supposed to hate each other. Notice, the barn doors opened and they came in. Blake and the others all turned and looked, and the viewer gets the impression that something is about to go down, but then they hug and greet each other as friends and have a good time. I think it is a positive message

That's the difference between country and most other genres, there is NO color. It's just storytelling to a beat, pure and simple.

The part I love about this song is this is actually what it's like in America. Not what the news tells. It's about the heart of a person not the color.

They didn't come in angry. They came in curious... and was immediately accepted. That was more about two worlds colliding, and the stereotypical "hard city boy" also being welcome. It's meant to bust the boundaries between styles and race. I thought the message was pretty clear myself. ;)

I’m from Texas. Very small town between Houston and Corpus Christi. I went to school with every kind of race there is. We were all friends. I’m 50 years old, and still to this day, we’re all still friends. Black, white, Vietnamese...whatever you are, we don’t care. This is how every party is down here. We don’t care what color you are. We don’t care what you’re wearing or driving. Come on in and let’s have a good time. That’s how it is on the Gulf Coast. We’re all friends. Very, very, very little racism down here. Bring a cooler and let’s jam. ✌🏻😘

Since you've already heard some Stapelton, you gotta hear this one. Tennessee Whiskey - ua-cam.com/video/4zAThXFOy2c/v-deo.html
And for something a little different, some Keith Urban. This is a great song. The video is cool but this performance is on a daytime talk show and is really stripped down so you can see just how good the man is. Blue Ain't Your Color - ua-cam.com/video/J4BesGe9PPQ/v-deo.html.
And finally, Home Free, the best acapella country cover group there is. I can't even explain how bad ass these guys are. Give a listen. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. End of the Road (Cover) - ua-cam.com/video/-lCRFAFtj-A/v-deo.html

The attitude portrayed by the black guys was the video attempting to point out ridiculous stereotypes about the "clash of cultures" and then destroy those ideas in the very next scene. It wasn't meant as a diss, it was meant to debunk the idea that those stereotypes are too rooted to change. I think it was aimed at racist, not provided for them. Sometimes we just have to look for the positives rather than the negatives. They're there, we just have to look with better eyes. Love the reaction. Peace

The sweet irony that as a white male in my 50s, I see the men approaching the barn as being understandably cautious and uncertain as they join strangers at their party, and the gentleman doing this vid sees them as being portrayed as angry.
I kind of wondering if there's a little conditioning at play here. 😂

Well I've watched several different people listen to this song and video because I love both. I believe the first person that interjected comments about race that I've seen so far. What I see in this video are people singing & dancing having fun. Some black guys come it and it's a little uncomfortable for a few seconds. No different than anyone walking into a situation where they may be the minority at a gathering. Then acceptance takes place all start dancing, drinking a beer and having a good time. I'm 68 so I'm old school and not into all this woke stuff and really don't care to know about it.
First time I saw this was earlier this year with the riots going on in Portland and all I could think when I watched it was wouldn't it be so nice if people could just get along, and show a little love to one another. We as humans were all created equal by God. The only difference is the outer covering and our hearts. Most of us are honest hard working folks just trying to feed our children, work, possibly have a little left over for a vacation if possible. Stop listening to the Washington DC elites and those news organizations which keep pitting and interjecting race into everything. They are just using us for their own agenda. With love your sister in Christ.
