It is very difficult to stop breakage (almost impossible) but you can reduce it to the minimum. I make sure my hair is moderately moisturised and I use my fingers to gently comb my hair in small sections first before using a comb and I rarely comb my hair. I also wear protective styles a lot.

Sometimes I do but it gets rough very fast if I wash it so I redo just the front
