I was there too. I saw how fragile the concept of "Humanity" can be when you're sleeping in a tent for 3 days next to an empty toilet and they charged $7 for a bottle of fucking water when we were all basically dying of exposure and thirst. And then the fires and the looting started (and I was a part of that, honestly)... But Night 3 of "Profitstock" was the night that I lost all my faith in humanity. And Humanity pretty much went out their way to help me on that front. This show was the END our escapism, if you saw how bad it got.
We were there in the crowd I was 19 my boyfriend was 21 we are now married with 2 kids in our 40s. This will never be exactly like this again. Pre cellphones pre social media just raw people with people dirt and heat it will never happen again just like this.
Diggin' the home vibe! Let Korn flow through your veins haha. Really, the first four albums (1994 self-titled "Korn" - 1999 "Issues") are golden, top to bottom song list IMO. I'll even credit a few songs that are scattered on albums thereafter. Although Korn's newest album reminisces their greats, nothing beats the first four!
From me to you.... I'm 54.... you're on the right path.... level up to PANTERA.... Live In Moscow, Domination.... and or "I'm Broken, 5 Minutes Alone"... we'll ease you into Alice In Chains, Temple Of The Dog, Soundgarden and others....
I remember getting the wood stock 99 2 cassette release for christmas. Yeah thats right i had it on tape don't @ me, And this track was easily one of my most played of the two cassettes.
Speaking of Grunge...... God Loves Grunge! Temple Of The Dog, The Melvins, Mother Love Bone, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, I could go on and on but lemme toss this one in just because..... PANTERA. Thank me later....EST 1966.....
BAD NIGHT! Women got raped, people got killed, the crowd lost its fucking mind... I was there. It was a fucking war-zone. "Profitstock" was the worst thing that ever happened to concerts. Period.
Such a adrenaline rush to watch this on a video. It must have been a total mayhem being there for real! If you enjoy Korn please check out our song that is heavily inspired by Korn and other nu metal acts mixed with modern metal elements and good production: ua-cam.com/video/JvCpwaIiDD4/v-deo.html
That whole concert is fire, 1 hour of pure ecstasy, pure adrenaline. Korn are great both live and studio.
*I was there*
I was there. Freaking surreal! I wish I could trade 2020 for 1999!
This used to be my start up sound for my PC back in the day.
Many of us would trade ANY year for this fucking 2020-21 bullshit xD

2:31 "I love the energy in the crowd"
looks up Woodstock '99 later...
"I don't love the energy in the crowd"
Korn is one of my all time favorite bands have been a fan since 1995
From that era Korn and Sevendust were my favorites
Korn opening with Blind at Woodstock 99 is the pinnacle of alt metal. It doesn't get peaked
This was the opening track on their debut album.. Korn's the best.
That Scott Hall “Hey yo” be legit tho lol
KoRn best live performance " big day out 99" 💙🙏
Great reaction bro
Thank you I definitely appreciate it

You should try Korn - *Make Me Bad (Live Apollo 1999)* and *Another Brick In The Wall (Live Werchter 2004)* , their best live performances IMO.
Absolutely love your intro❤️

I’ve done 1 reaction to Alice In Chains and one on Temple of The Dog. It seemed like it was a different sound to me. I’m not 100 percent sure though
They are great live!
Fun fact Woodstock 99 had over 300+k people there
You should react to "Y'all Want a Single" next. Korn has some serious head boppers in addition to the hardcore metal stuff.
