They wanted us to stop having “fun” when they removed the original point system. They want every game you load to be exactly the same. Wouldn’t be surprised if we get a gum that says “earn points for every shot that hits zombies” in the store.
Nerfing things in zombies has always been weird to me, like in multiplayer or warzone a super broken item/weapon could lower peoples enjoyment of the game but in zombies being a powerhouse is like half the fun
I think they nerf zombies cause it’s another way to get weapon/level/battle pass xp so they don’t want it to be unfair for multiplayer players leveling
They did the same thing in Black Ops Cold War with the dead wire ammo mod. It used to be broken where you could shoot once into a large crowd of zombies and clear like 98% of the round with the chain lightning. But they immediately nerfed the dead wire mod so it did less damage.

Having fun... By removing the challenge you people beg for every time a zombies is easy. Sure. I don't feel like anyone playing this has ACTUALLY played Zombies before, because the way it currently is aside from some new features, is practically the same as how it was before. Yet, unlike before, every time I do any public match, I have 10+ revives before Round 8, because for some reason, the other players can barely stay alive on their own, YET they also hide in three entirely different corners of the map. I have unironically spent matches getting to 30+ where my entire team just stops doing ANYTHING AT ALL and half the time, at least ONE person minimum has already ragequit between Round 5-10. The only time I had a team last longer, was because they were glitching, AND THEY STILL ENDED UP DYING, because they didn't pay attention to shit, and ended up getting slammed by ONE MANGLER that crossed the boat. I don't care usually if people are awful, I get quick revive and shit for a reason, BUT when y'all need god modes to do anything, while quitting or giving up at ANY SLIGHT INCONVENIENCE, the problem is with you all, not the game or it's balance.
Honestly I think they should just remove manglers from the game entirely that fucking Cannon is way too much I'm fine with the Abominations laser because that's actually balanced but having 20 Manglers spam nothing but cannons because they're a bunch of pussies is annoying as fuck
My main issue with this, is that they did not give anything in return. Like if they are to take away the score streak chaining maybe give a buff to a perk or reduce how many manglers spawn in per round. I think that there should be a balance and not just take away the fun strats and that's it.
Manglers definetly need a rebalanced approach. No reason you go from seeing 1-2 a round from 20 to 35 and then seeing 10 after wave 35. Its like suddenly getting punched in the mouth by Mike tyson after fighting a toddler.
yeah i'm happy they fixed the streak spam but it's kinda absurd they didn't give us any balance changes after that to make it possible to get higher rounds
currently bo6 zombies feels difficult just for the sake of being difficult, not for the sake of being a challenge at a certain point its just bullet sponge after bullet sponge, and even if you have everything max upgraded you still spend rounds just hosing down enemies and resupplying every minute to get zombies to die i totally don't mind zombies being challenging/difficult. but this feels more like having to slog trough the waves shooting thousands of rounds to slowly widdle down the enemies

The amount of people that are against buffing weapon damage in a PVE gamemode is actually concerning. It should not be that only a handful of guns are viable past round 30
Zombies are supposed to be hard it's nostalgia play older zombie games and you'll notice that they're way harder than these new ones you're just going to have to put the time in the game and get good scrub

I really don't understand what you want you just want to be able to go to the highest rounds every time or do you want it to be challenging to where it's actually an achievement to go to High rounds what do you even consider to be high rounds because there are plenty of people who are getting to waive 256 and it's not that hard it's pretty easy you hear Mr Russell waffles here talk about how easy it is yet he's crying about an exploit
@@thehatefull1761 the power scaling in this game is way off, especially since you need to pack a punch a gun 3 times. Most of the time you are exceeding the round at which tier 0/1/2 is viable at because this game has more expensive doors, more expensive perks, buyable armor, and 3 tiers of pap, all of which are a pain to get to with the points per kill system instead of points per bullet
I think it's fine to nerf Scorestreak spam to an extent, like it helps increase the variety of ways to get to higher rounds. HOWEVER, to blatantly not nerf the amount of Manglers per round simultaneously with this nerf (To make it easier for higher rounds WITHOUT streaks)? Big L.

The real question is, can we still damage them with a streak but not kill them and then just normally take them out with our guns when health is low. Will we still get our loot? Ima try it
It's like with most games, records get set within the first few days with broken or OP things, that the devs end up nerfing before the casual or less than hardcore player can get a chance to use it.
Fun fact: you can crash any game by spawning a special elite (name in red) then run away from it then once it de spawns “error special NPC not found” repeat until the game crashes. Good job trayarch
They should be focusing on fixing the game's stability, almost every time I've resumed a saved game, there's crazy rubberbanding that downs me twice without me being able to defend myself. Lost so many great runs already.
Rubber banding? I only know that from racing games where your opponents change speeds to like always give you pressure. But how would that apply to resuming a save which always resumes you at the beginning of a round. I did notice it seems to spawn an absurd amount of bosses if your remotely high round which must be what you’re referring to I just don’t understand the use of rubberband
the save system in general is super buggy, it thinks doors are closed while being open and will make you lag every time you go through them, and even in some cases it'll make the game think you're out of bounds and start automatically doing tons of damage to you, this happened to me with the room where you build the beam smasher on terminus
World at war is a completely different zombies so it’s not a fair comparison and world at war was not the best zombies. I personally love BO6 and really don’t want people obsessively mentioning old CODs (including BO3) as some sort of criteria of what is “good”. BO6 represents new opportunities for zombies to evolve into something much bigger!
If they're gonna remove thing like the high round strat they better damn well reduce mini boss spawn rate. That's so annoying Im now seeing a lot of comments saying that they're glad it got removed because it makes it more challenging. Theres a difference from the game being challenging and unfair. Having like 6 or 7 manglers with 2 abominations with ranged attacks makes it almost impossible to dodge and regen health. I've died multiple times from not being able to regen health

Manglers are the “easy” boss and it still takes like 10 triple pack a punched ray gun shots to kill one in the 30’s. @@monhi64 yeah abominations especially are so obnoxiously tanky in this game, they either need to reduce the healthpools of them as well as manglers a bit, or increase the damage that triple packed guns do (the ray gun in general especially needs a massive damage buff imo feels too weak for a "wonder" weapon) amalgams aren't as bad honestly cause they're covered in heads and in general their healthpool doesn't seem nearly as high, they can grab other zombies to heal with which can be slightly annoying but it doesn't happen much and doesn't heal them much either
Finally someone said it. It’s not hard, just unbearably annoying. Challenge is when you spawn a Panzer soldat on Round 8 to make sure the player isn’t underprepared, and has what it takes. Challenge is spawning a Margwa every 2 rituals to make sure the experience isn’t too smooth and buttery for you. Challenge *isn’t* spawning 10 manglers every single round for literally no reason other than to annoy the crap out of you.

@@WSh8500 whilst they removed the bo2 in the zc version for bo3, you can still duplicate the fire staff using self medication in solo! I honestly suggest watching a recent speed run or even Freckleson’s guide to bo3 origins speed running if you haven’t seen it before
Man that's a bummer, was having so much fun chillin just mowing down zombies trying out different weapons with the boat strat. Me and my mate were laughing the whole time was awesome, reminded me of the fun we used to have doing the catwalk strat or jugg strat on Buried. Need more places like that in maps. Not everyone wants to run around the whole time running trains
I see people complaining about the “boss spawn rate” which I do not believe is the problem. Their health scales with the round and I do not believe they are hard to kill if you have been efficiently equipped for the round you are on and know how to kill them. The issue for me lies with what Milo said about them not dropping scorestreaks after dying to one. I’ve reached round 100 already and I can tell you that the best weapons in zombies fully upgrade barely scratch off a fragment of the of the zombies before you need to buy ammo for them. And they are almost useless against bosses at that point. ---Weapon damage at high rounds and enemy health scaling-- is the real issue. With the scorestreak method being removed I struggle to see how anyone can maintain high rounds without trying their absolute hardest. Or being incredibly efficient. (Which I already was even with the scorestreak method.) We need some sort of damage amp in place of this removal. Double Tap, a new PaP tier, or a higher rarity option. Otherwise people should forget about going through rounds with scorestreak support and get ready to be almost constantly shooting at brick walls. That is the true issue here. I am happy with the removal of the glitches. It provides a more accurate experience and skilled players. And no way for cheesers to skate through what genuine players have to go through.
i mean almost all of these are glitches and exploits. They should be fixed since most of these remove challenge. Did anyone find just spamming chopper gunners or mutant inject fun tho? Its doing the same things until you get unlucky. I would rather shoot my guns to get to high rounds then just spamming kill streaks
I used the injection strat just earlier today (before patch) and had a blast. Idk if it's a skill issue or what but you put me in a round with super sprinters, 8 manglers and an abomination on round 50+ and even with pap 3 ray gun and jet gun I'm not going to survive long. I could see if they made this change and made it to where like 3 or 4 manglers spawned in only after the last one was defeated but they didn't.
It's definitely more fun the using the garbage guns that they have. Which for high rounds you're forced to do to some extent because traps cost points and you only get points on kills now.
Half my party got disconnected from our zombies Easter egg run for being AFK when all of us were moving….so frustrating to say the least! Especially since you can’t rejoin
It was super frustrating because we were trying to solve the computer puzzle on Terminus and it kicked two of us while we were actively moving and controlling our characters

That’s what everyone is complaining about which is just weird to me considering all that does is make this game harder. And btw it’s still not as hard as bo3 or bo4 even after this nerf. I may have some kind of solution (kinda) for the damage problem. How awesome would it be if they brought back double tap and it was an easter egg reward. This will permanently unlock it in the wunderfizz (this way you can only use it for high rounds and it won't be too op early game).
Bo6 has a lot of artificial difficulty, past round 40 any fully upgraded regular gun starts to become a pea shooter and even the bestest of guns with special PaP versions get weak. Rocket sniper takes 5 headshots to kill a mangler and upwards of 20 on abominations, Mustang and Sally create nothing but crawlers and do literally nothing to abominations, you can spam all your ammo into one and not even kill it, possibly the best weapon for killing multiple manglers though, and the ASG just outclasses every thing else. Those 3 guns are better than both wonder weapons on terminus and the JET gun on Liberty slightly outclasses everything else because of infinite ammo, and the paralyzer ammo rework. For the love of god let us barricade ourselves and shoot zombies if you’re not going to buff weapons. That’s literally how the zombie genre got its footing, by survivors barricading themselves away from the zombies, not training them through open fields.
Its obviously not good game design is the strategy is to just infinitely be in a killsteak.. How satisfying would it be to finally achieve round 100 (the classic "map complete" round) if you only played until round 50 and then was in a killsteak the other 50? Good patch treyarch 👏
@@xvoidxhunter2129 Revelations i can agree with, but shadows is not that easy, it becomes a real challenge to maintain ammo and you need to have the upgraded sword and turned AND a trap for that camping to be possible, plus the margwa mini boss interrupts every 4th round or something..
@CliffJumpingProd Wall buy Krm can take out a head or even the entire margwa off spawn, depending how you do it That and Alchemical is completely free gobblegum, Infinite Ammo for like 30 seconds with 2 charges and you get a free gobblegum every round. Legit just find a spot with the highest spawn rate and spam the Servant will clear most rounds

@@britishpie7665 Not really, on Rev you can get to whatever round you want just sitting in a corner with the Sevant and Thundergun. The only times you are engaging with the map is when you run to the nearest gobblegum machine, or giving a bit of space when a Margwa spawns. For 90% of the game you are taking zero damage and are pressing 2 buttons Even on Cold War it was Ring of Fire + Raygun and Chopper gunner and just camping lol
Them removing the current high rounds strat was def the right call. We had players getting to max round 3 days after the game released. The strat required no skill and could have also been run until the new 999 limit if people played for long enough which is very easy with save and quit. They for sure made the right move.

I think a way they could've balanced mutant injections is by either : 1. Giving you a health bar, of lets say 500 that, never regens so if they zombies knock you down to 0 it ejects you before for the time runs out. 2. You keep your health at 250 but when you melee kill zombies it gives you back a little health but if you hit 0 you're ejected . Regardless, I appreciate the cod update
No💀 you'd make the injection useless a higher rounds when you're fighting multiple manglers and elites, it having Essentially infinite health makes it possible to kill them.
@fbi2522 Fair. At least with my idea they'd still be in the game and would still be useable even if moreso as a 'get out of jail' card instead of the high round strat. It crossed my mind that maybe paired with Melee macchiato it could buff your melees thus meaning more health regain on hit. Either way it's just an idea a new strategy will be found/developed like always
Treyarch needs to understand a game need to be fun who care what people are doing with boats and kill streaks if your players are playing for 5+ hours.
all the people saying "this is good it'll make the game harder" are tripping, i guess if you really suck at running trains then yeah? but otherwise playing up to round 100 without scorestreaks really isn't that hard, it's just the special/elite spam and their high health that makes it take MUCH longer without the scorestreaks, the way i see it it's less "this will make the game harder" and more "this will make high round speedruns take longer"
It's not just about the spawning amount of manglers it's about trying to survive with alot u try to get to pass 35 and not run out of ammo then can't buy any bc u couldn't kill enough for 5k or not get shot by a mangler cannon and fuck trying to dodge and run while having speeding zombies and spiders after u which spiders do to much damage on high rounds
I think it's pretty stupid of Treyarch to fix "the problem" without diagnosing the symptoms that led to it. You can't nerf one of the only viable strats in the game currently, without addressing the reason why people are resorting to it in the first place. The special enemies are ridiculous in this game! The amount of times I've been downed, not by getting swiped by a zombie, but by a Mangler or an Abomination's ranged attack, makes me feel like I'm playing multiplayer. When 10+ Manglers spawn on round 40, and they're all firing at you at the same time, with a projectile that's nearly impossible to dodge, standard weapons (even triple papped and gold rarity) and the wonder weapons aren't enough to kill them efficiently, of course peolle are going resort to using kill streak spam and whatever method will kill them!
Wasn't it obvious by how people would literally cycle from one scorestreak to the other after using another? Think about that. Killing bosses whilst invincible drops more items that make also make you invincible. Doesn't that sound a bit broken? Lol
Well you can stop them from firing and even destroy the cannon, and abom can't turn while doing the laser, it also aims lower to your body so some objects can block it while you take advantage of having the full 3 weakspots exposed.
Great video! I'm really glad to see the various glitches getting patched. I get that people are wanting to grind for camos etc. but the glitches just make for really brainless gameplay. It's also why I'm actually happy about them making it so that elites no longer drop items when killed by a scorestreak. As a high round strat, you're no longer really playing Zombies - it takes zero skill to fly through 40-50 rounds basically with infinite mutant injections where you're invulnerable. There SHOULD be risk when playing past round 50, it SHOULD require skill so I'm glad those scorestreaks aren't as accessible to chain back-to-back now.

Who is cheating??? yes there was god mode glitches, half of the zombie community should not suffer from bad apples. The high round strat with score streaks in zombies is not a cheat. You should look up the correct way to use cheat before throwing it around.
I’mma be honest, making enemies no longer drop items after scorestreaks is probably a good change. Seen people complaining about how you spend half the game as a Mangler or Chopper Gunner. I think this will have the player make more tough decisions with salvage. If they nerf the Mangler spam, I’ll be even happier since that was the only reason to constantly use those streaks.
You forgot your talking about the modern CoD community. They got nothing better to do than grind camo's for validation considering they probably don't get much in their day to day life. Genuinely suprised you haven't had a wave of them call you out for actually trying to have fun instead of grinding thats gonna become useless in a year when the cycle repeats.

The mangler stim for high rounds was SO boring, I like the idea of elites not dropping streaks if killed by a streak, every stream I tuned into was just a mangler meleeing zombies every round so id leave. I miss the good old days with people actually training zombies and using wonder weapons
Its absolutely insane to me that they've NERFED players ability to survive when all everyone's been actively complaining about is the Elite Spawn rate. Like theres no universe where its okay to have 15 Manglers and 2 Abominations on my screen on a map like Liberty Falls. Especially since Ranged Elites have nonexistent counterplay past the 40s. The cannon already has stupid tracking, hit boxes, and a crazy stun/bounce effect on hit, but the fact theres 15 other manglers shooting them at the same time, they knock over the zombies and sometimes into my pathing, and then have the nerve to have 2 Abominations is just absurd. It completely defeats the purpose of a "Boss" zombie if we are seeing them AS MUCH as the zombies themselves. The reason everyone are abusing Injections, Pathing Exploits and God Mode glitches is because HIGH ROUNDS IN BO6 ARE ASS. Most weapons are complete garbage past round 40, the only weapons that can even slightly kill are wonder weapons and the ridiculous Elite spam is an inevitable down without invincibility. This is just a repeat of the Ray-K and Ray Gun nerf from Cold War, STOP NERFING ITEMS IN ZOMBIES

The amalgam 1 shot bug is still in the game BTW so it’s really good to see Treyarch more focused of fixing the communities favorite high round strategy in favor of a game ending bug.
Was it really a "fun thing to do" to just sit in a room and farm zombies from the window where other elites can't enter. Even on high rounds I doubt that's "fun" to most of the playerbase...

I've been alternating terminus and libertyfalls and exfill at 31 with no glitches and been having a blast so far, I work 60hrs and week and can pretty much only play on weekends but I'm prestige 1 lv34 so far. It's gonna take me ages to unlock all the augments, but I'm enjoying the grind
Same-ish here except I can play whenever, just that I don't do it much cuz of being in pain from a nerve issue, 1-2 hours a day of Zombies when I do touch it.
....Which will make every map play the same lol This is also the same franchise where Wonder Weapons and Traps dominated the high round meta for literally ever

I’d personally hate the idea of chaining mutant injections on every single bo6 map, it would just end up feeling like bo4 where most maps you can just spam helion and specialist. I like that after patch you actually have to use a bit of the jet gun and a bit of the injections, makes it feel more fun to me.

Electric traps were on basically every map up until bo2 The Ray Gun in Cold War was also in every map and was part of every high round strat Its still boring and formulaic: get wonder weapon, perks and pack, circle, trap/shoot repeat

I think Treyarch did good with how they approached the Mutant Injectors. Nerfing the 100% uptime while retaining the strength of the scorestreak itself was the right way to go. You can still have your fun with Mutant Injectors. Also pls fix vermin round duration scaling thanks
T-Arc is out they mind. Round 256 was literally reached on both maps in under 2 days. They about to make us petition to bring back blundell at any cost. Top Athletes make 25+ million a year. I say pay the man. Hes worth it
As someone who played through Helldivers 2 when the repeated nerfs to gameplay towards us, nerfing fun is something I'm used to. We as a community on that game rallied together with our voice and eventually, albeit after way too long, the developers finally made two patches that changed the game forever and added fun back into the game. If we would like a return to what we had, we need to voice our opinion and make it known to Treyarch. Be polite about it and share your thoughts!
Sadly the reason they dont want high rounds is because Zombies ISNT treated as a sandbox anymore. You get XP for leveling guns and leveling yourself. Seems they dont want that.
5:29 I did round 100 yesterday, and it took just about 4 1/2 hours using a mutant inject strategy, and had 30k salvage left. In saying that, I think that if the strategy itself was something trayarch didn’t like, you could lower drop rates instead of removing them entirely. As it stands, the inject is probably about a 5%-10 drop. All they would have to do is tweak the number down closer to 1%-4% whilst already using one. That way it still works sometimes, and for more casual players it doesn’t effect you at all using other streaks like choppers Just my takeaway. I think it can still be used fairly well. The only change to liberty falls high rounds is playing a few rounds with trap every so often and then just go back to using the injects again
They need to fix is the zombie respawn draw distance. Every time you turn to shoot a line of zombies, you getting hit in the back by zombies respawning into the map, because their out of you line of sight.
3:41 -- even without UA-camrs telling us its obvious past round 40-50 you literally have to use score streaks. If you cant use those, you have to buff some other things. Its probably best, like another comment stated, all high round strats would surround mutant injections and such. my suggestion is one of these 3 changes 1. Nerf special zombie spawn 2. Nerf zombie health scaling 3. Heavily buff regular weapons, or pack a punch 3 specifically.
You can just buy the score streaks with salvage and at that high of a round I don’t think it’s hard to get a lot to drop at once so I don’t see why this is a big deal tbh

Treyarch has openly admitted they make their games bad on purpose so people are inclined to buy the newest title rather than stick to the one good game they have. They’re nerfing these things to encourage players to buy the next expansion or dlc. It’s a predatory business tactic that will not change. The reason it won’t change is because of people like you who buy the game knowing full well it’s encouraging Treyarch to test the waters even further. They will keep lowering the bar until they’ve effectively reached that ‘sweet spot’ where the most minuscule amount of effort and resources can be used to make an even bigger profit. You shoot yourself in the foot and then get mad when you can’t walk on that foot anymore. Either boycott the game or shut up.
This is all kinda hilarious when Mega-Stuffy can literally bug out and vanish...last night doing Terminus Boss got it damn near to 10% health and ultimately lost the run. We had to bleed out because the game registered us as having a chance for revival and due to Mega-Stuffy still being *somewhere* in the game world. Went out of my way to do that specifically for boss only for Mega-Stuffy to vanish several round before boss and not spawn in with us when we went into boss room. But, of course. Not in the patch notes as something fixed.

Nerfing things in zombies has always been weird to me, like in multiplayer or warzone a super broken item/weapon could lower peoples enjoyment of the game but in zombies being a powerhouse is like half the fun
I think they nerf zombies cause it’s another way to get weapon/level/battle pass xp so they don’t want it to be unfair for multiplayer players leveling

I don't feel like anyone playing this has ACTUALLY played Zombies before, because the way it currently is aside from some new features, is practically the same as how it was before. Yet, unlike before, every time I do any public match, I have 10+ revives before Round 8, because for some reason, the other players can barely stay alive on their own, YET they also hide in three entirely different corners of the map. I have unironically spent matches getting to 30+ where my entire team just stops doing ANYTHING AT ALL and half the time, at least ONE person minimum has already ragequit between Round 5-10. The only time I had a team last longer, was because they were glitching, AND THEY STILL ENDED UP DYING, because they didn't pay attention to shit, and ended up getting slammed by ONE MANGLER that crossed the boat. I don't care usually if people are awful, I get quick revive and shit for a reason, BUT when y'all need god modes to do anything, while quitting or giving up at ANY SLIGHT INCONVENIENCE, the problem is with you all, not the game or it's balance.

Most of the time you are exceeding the round at which tier 0/1/2 is viable at because this game has more expensive doors, more expensive perks, buyable armor, and 3 tiers of pap, all of which are a pain to get to with the points per kill system instead of points per bullet

Rubber banding? I only know that from racing games where your opponents change speeds to like always give you pressure. But how would that apply to resuming a save which always resumes you at the beginning of a round. I did notice it seems to spawn an absurd amount of bosses if your remotely high round which must be what you’re referring to I just don’t understand the use of rubberband
the save system in general is super buggy, it thinks doors are closed while being open and will make you lag every time you go through them, and even in some cases it'll make the game think you're out of bounds and start automatically doing tons of damage to you, this happened to me with the room where you build the beam smasher on terminus

Having like 6 or 7 manglers with 2 abominations with ranged attacks makes it almost impossible to dodge and regen health. I've died multiple times from not being able to regen health

Man that's a bummer, was having so much fun chillin just mowing down zombies trying out different weapons with the boat strat. Me and my mate were laughing the whole time was awesome, reminded me of the fun we used to have doing the catwalk strat or jugg strat on Buried. Need more places like that in maps. I see people complaining about the “boss spawn rate” which I do not believe is the problem. Their health scales with the round and I do not believe they are hard to kill if you have been efficiently equipped for the round you are on and know how to kill them. The issue for me lies with what Milo said about them not dropping scorestreaks after dying to one. I’ve reached round 100 already and I can tell you that the best weapons in zombies fully upgrade barely scratch off a fragment of the of the zombies before you need to buy ammo for them. And they are almost useless against bosses at that point. ---Weapon damage at high rounds and enemy health scaling-- is the real issue. With the scorestreak method being removed I struggle to see how anyone can maintain high rounds without trying their absolute hardest. Or being incredibly efficient. (Which I already was even with the scorestreak method.) We need some sort of damage amp in place of this removal. Double Tap, a new PaP tier, or a higher rarity option. Otherwise people should forget about going through rounds with scorestreak support and get ready to be almost constantly shooting at brick walls. That is the true issue here. I am happy with the removal of the glitches. It provides a more accurate experience and skilled players. And no way for cheesers to skate through what genuine players have to go through.

I used the injection strat just earlier today (before patch) and had a blast. Idk if it's a skill issue or what but you put me in a round with super sprinters, 8 manglers and an abomination on round 50+ and even with pap 3 ray gun and jet gun I'm not going to survive long. I could see if they made this change and made it to where like 3 or 4 manglers spawned in only after the last one was defeated but they didn't.
It's definitely more fun the using the garbage guns that they have. Which for high rounds you're forced to do to some extent because traps cost points and you only get points on kills now.

I was able to rejoin teammates from crashing but going afk might be a different issue. Might have to test that and see if you're right.

If Nothing else buff the damage of guns at full power
Bo6 has a lot of artificial difficulty, past round 40 any fully upgraded regular gun starts to become a pea shooter and even the bestest of guns with special PaP versions get weak.
Rocket sniper takes 5 headshots to kill a mangler and upwards of 20 on abominations,
Mustang and Sally create nothing but crawlers and do literally nothing to abominations, you can spam all your ammo into one and not even kill it, possibly the best weapon for killing multiple manglers though, and the ASG just outclasses every thing else.
Those 3 guns are better than both wonder weapons on terminus and the JET gun on Liberty slightly outclasses everything else because of infinite ammo, and the paralyzer ammo rework. For the love of god let us barricade ourselves and shoot zombies if you’re not going to buff weapons. That’s literally how the zombie genre got its footing, by survivors barricading themselves away from the zombies, not training them through open fields.
Its obviously not good game design is the strategy is to just infinitely be in a killsteak.. How satisfying would it be to finally achieve round 100 (the classic "map complete" round) if you only played until round 50 and then was in a killsteak the other 50? Good patch treyarch 👏

Them removing the current high rounds strat was def the right call. We had players getting to max round 3 days after the game released. The strat required no skill and could have also been run until the new 999 limit if people played for long enough which is very easy with save and quit. They for sure made the right move.

I think a way they could've balanced mutant injections is by either :
1. Giving you a health bar, of lets say 500 that, never regens so if they zombies knock you down to 0 it ejects you before for the time runs out.
2. You keep your health at 250 but when you melee kill zombies it gives you back a little health but if you hit 0 you're ejected .
Regardless, I appreciate the cod update
No💀 you'd make the injection useless a higher rounds when you're fighting multiple manglers and elites, it having Essentially infinite health makes it possible to kill them.

It crossed my mind that maybe paired with Melee macchiato it could buff your melees thus meaning more health regain on hit.
Either way it's just an idea a new strategy will be found/developed like always
Treyarch needs to understand a game need to be fun who care what people are doing with boats and kill streaks if your players are playing for 5+ hours.

all the people saying "this is good it'll make the game harder" are tripping, i guess if you really suck at running trains then yeah? but otherwise playing up to round 100 without scorestreaks really isn't that hard, it's just the special/elite spam and their high health that makes it take MUCH longer without the scorestreaks, the way i see it it's less "this will make the game harder" and more "this will make high round speedruns take longer"
It's not just about the spawning amount of manglers it's about trying to survive with alot u try to get to pass 35 and not run out of ammo then can't buy any bc u couldn't kill enough for 5k or not get shot by a mangler cannon and fuck trying to dodge and run while having speeding zombies and spiders after u which spiders do to much damage on high rounds

I think it's pretty stupid of Treyarch to fix "the problem" without diagnosing the symptoms that led to it. You can't nerf one of the only viable strats in the game currently, without addressing the reason why people are resorting to it in the first place.
The special enemies are ridiculous in this game! The amount of times I've been downed, not by getting swiped by a zombie, but by a Mangler or an Abomination's ranged attack, makes me feel like I'm playing multiplayer. When 10+ Manglers spawn on round 40, and they're all firing at you at the same time, with a projectile that's nearly impossible to dodge, standard weapons (even triple papped and gold rarity) and the wonder weapons aren't enough to kill them efficiently, of course peolle are going resort to using kill streak spam and whatever method will kill them!

Well you can stop them from firing and even destroy the cannon, and abom can't turn while doing the laser, it also aims lower to your body so some objects can block it while you take advantage of having the full 3 weakspots exposed.

Great video! I'm really glad to see the various glitches getting patched. I get that people are wanting to grind for camos etc. but the glitches just make for really brainless gameplay. It's also why I'm actually happy about them making it so that elites no longer drop items when killed by a scorestreak. As a high round strat, you're no longer really playing Zombies - it takes zero skill to fly through 40-50 rounds basically with infinite mutant injections where you're invulnerable. There SHOULD be risk when playing past round 50, it SHOULD require skill so I'm glad those scorestreaks aren't as accessible to chain back-to-back now.
So People will make them weak with mutant injection and finish them off with the gun or field upgrade and still get the mutant injection mutant injection should be removed from the game its a fucking shooter not a hack and slash game of I wanted that I would go play God of war or Wukong or some thing like that zombies is Just bad bo3 still is the best zombie game from cod in my opinion

Who is cheating??? yes there was god mode glitches, half of the zombie community should not suffer from bad apples. The high round strat with score streaks in zombies is not a cheat. You should look up the correct way to use cheat before throwing it around.

I think this will have the player make more tough decisions with salvage.

The mangler stim for high rounds was SO boring, I like the idea of elites not dropping streaks if killed by a streak, every stream I tuned into was just a mangler meleeing zombies every round so id leave. I miss the good old days with people actually training zombies and using wonder weapons

Its absolutely insane to me that they've NERFED players ability to survive when all everyone's been actively complaining about is the Elite Spawn rate.
Like theres no universe where its okay to have 15 Manglers and 2 Abominations on my screen on a map like Liberty Falls. Especially since Ranged Elites have nonexistent counterplay past the 40s. The cannon already has stupid tracking, hit boxes, and a crazy stun/bounce effect on hit, but the fact theres 15 other manglers shooting them at the same time, they knock over the zombies and sometimes into my pathing, and then have the nerve to have 2 Abominations is just absurd.
It completely defeats the purpose of a "Boss" zombie if we are seeing them AS MUCH as the zombies themselves.
The reason everyone are abusing Injections, Pathing Exploits and God Mode glitches is because HIGH ROUNDS IN BO6 ARE ASS.
Most weapons are complete garbage past round 40, the only weapons that can even slightly kill are wonder weapons and the ridiculous Elite spam is an inevitable down without invincibility.
This is just a repeat of the Ray-K and Ray Gun nerf from Cold War, STOP NERFING ITEMS IN ZOMBIES

I've been alternating terminus and libertyfalls and exfill at 31 with no glitches and been having a blast so far, I work 60hrs and week and can pretty much only play on weekends but I'm prestige 1 lv34 so far. It's gonna take me ages to unlock all the augments, but I'm enjoying the grind
Same-ish here except I can play whenever, just that I don't do it much cuz of being in pain from a nerve issue, 1-2 hours a day of Zombies when I do touch it.
The mutant injection strat would probably make every map play the same tho. Now at least people will use the wonder weapons and traps.

I like that after patch you actually have to use a bit of the jet gun and a bit of the injections, makes it feel more fun to me.

The Ray Gun in Cold War was also in every map and was part of every high round strat

I think Treyarch did good with how they approached the Mutant Injectors. Nerfing the 100% uptime while retaining the strength of the scorestreak itself was the right way to go. You can still have your fun with Mutant Injectors. Also pls fix vermin round duration scaling thanks

T-Arc is out they mind. Round 256 was literally reached on both maps in under 2 days. They about to make us petition to bring back blundell at any cost. Top Athletes make 25+ million a year. I say pay the man. Hes worth it
As someone who played through Helldivers 2 when the repeated nerfs to gameplay towards us, nerfing fun is something I'm used to. We as a community on that game rallied together with our voice and eventually, albeit after way too long, the developers finally made two patches that changed the game forever and added fun back into the game.
If we would like a return to what we had, we need to voice our opinion and make it known to Treyarch. Be polite about it and share your thoughts!

Sadly the reason they dont want high rounds is because Zombies ISNT treated as a sandbox anymore. You get XP for leveling guns and leveling yourself. Seems they dont want that.
5:29 I did round 100 yesterday, and it took just about 4 1/2 hours using a mutant inject strategy, and had 30k salvage left. In saying that, I think that if the strategy itself was something trayarch didn’t like, you could lower drop rates instead of removing them entirely. As it stands, the inject is probably about a 5%-10 drop. All they would have to do is tweak the number down closer to 1%-4% whilst already using one. That way it still works sometimes, and for more casual players it doesn’t effect you at all using other streaks like choppers
Just my takeaway. I think it can still be used fairly well. The only change to liberty falls high rounds is playing a few rounds with trap every so often and then just go back to using the injects again
They need to fix is the zombie respawn draw distance. Every time you turn to shoot a line of zombies, you getting hit in the back by zombies respawning into the map, because their out of you line of sight.
3:41 -- even without UA-camrs telling us its obvious past round 40-50 you literally have to use score streaks. If you cant use those, you have to buff some other things. Its probably best, like another comment stated, all high round strats would surround mutant injections and such. my suggestion is one of these 3 changes
1. Nerf special zombie spawn
2. Nerf zombie health scaling
3. Heavily buff regular weapons, or pack a punch 3 specifically.
You can just buy the score streaks with salvage and at that high of a round I don’t think it’s hard to get a lot to drop at once so I don’t see why this is a big deal tbh

Treyarch has openly admitted they make their games bad on purpose so people are inclined to buy the newest title rather than stick to the one good game they have. They’re nerfing these things to encourage players to buy the next expansion or dlc. It’s a predatory business tactic that will not change. The reason it won’t change is because of people like you who buy the game knowing full well it’s encouraging Treyarch to test the waters even further. They will keep lowering the bar until they’ve effectively reached that ‘sweet spot’ where the most minuscule amount of effort and resources can be used to make an even bigger profit. You shoot yourself in the foot and then get mad when you can’t walk on that foot anymore. Either boycott the game or shut up.
This is all kinda hilarious when Mega-Stuffy can literally bug out and vanish...last night doing Terminus Boss got it damn near to 10% health and ultimately lost the run. We had to bleed out because the game registered us as having a chance for revival and due to Mega-Stuffy still being *somewhere* in the game world. Went out of my way to do that specifically for boss only for Mega-Stuffy to vanish several round before boss and not spawn in with us when we went into boss room. But, of course. Not in the patch notes as something fixed.
