- It was a sea of red and black in Notre Dame Stadium when the Georgia Bulldogs faced off against the Notre Dame Fighting Irish this past Saturday. Countless Notre Dame fans sold their tickets to the traveling Bulldog fans which led to an impressive showing for the UGA fanbase. In this dramatic video, we see just how the Notre Dame faithful unloaded their tickets before the game.

Credit to the Dawgs. Lifetime Cornhusker fan here. We did that before to Notre Dame, many years ago, but I watched some of that game Saturday night and UGA fans took it to a whole other level. Tip of the cap.

I was there and this pretty much explains it all. It was a total disgrace. When I walked in the stadium I asked my dad, "What happened to Irish pride?" Pathetic! Hats off to the Georgia fans for supporting their team and SHAME on Irish fans for selling out to the all mighty dollar. SHAME!!!
I know a couple who went on a second honeymoon thanks to some GA fans who paid up lol. In the end, 3-4 hours with no natty for either team that year is not as great as being on an island in an adult resort. lol
Look up the huskers taking over Irish stadium. Talk about a red out.

I was in the end zone away from the library (Touchdown Jesus), and I was sitting next to an alumnus who has had tickets since the late 70s. He said, without a doubt, this was the most fans of an opponent he'd ever seen in South Bend EVER. He said even when Michigan played there or when Miami came in or Florida State, there were never as many fans as there were that day in South Bend back in 2017. Great weekend. ND fans were great to us, too.
So true but I was not one of them. A good game. This video was great and only lacked Rudy music for being outstanding....

Lol. That reminds me. Arkansas is going to Notre Dame in a couple of years. One of their fans told me that the Hogs were gonna beat us so bad, we're gonna cry like we just finished watching Rudy.
They gave more to Georgia than just the tickets lol.

What's more impressive is the game was competitive throughout despite there being far more Georgia fans than Notre Dame fans. As a Florida fan I hate Notre Dame for this.
Considering Notre Dame lost by only 1 point, maybe those fans should have shown up…
I'm a die hard Irish fan... and this was great! Lol...i can't blame anyone for making some big money.. especially if you go all the time! And congrats go UGA..great team and those guys played mean and fast!! I hope they win out so it makes our loss look better! I'm proud of my team.. completely different than last year and I see them getting even better each week!

J Sumrall hats off to you ND fan! I can tell that you are a true fan. I read your NBC Irish fan site when my team Bama played your Irish 2012-2013 and you truly have some of the classiest fans ever. I never commented, just read what your fans had to say. Even in that brutal game, they were still proud of their team. I have a kid being recruited by ND and we visited your campus this summer and loved it. I said let’s visit in November and see what you think 🤔. Us southerners don’t like the cold weather! At least that is my hope. Good Luck this season and maybe if things go right for both of our teams we can have a rematch! RTR!

How many times can I click dislike?? Not because it isn't a good video but because it speaks truth. ND ticket holders are paying off the private jet with the money these opponent fans are willing to pay to hear the "magic in the sound of their name," -- At least UGA fans left with a smile, unlike Texas fans of 2015. What gets often overlooked is that ND fans often fill up opponent stadiums on road trips and much of them are local fans (Cali, NY/NJ, Boston, Philly, Dallas/Houston, etc are loaded with school and subway alum alike); creative video and funny as hell - nice work!

Unloading tickets to the highest bidder was the smart thing to do but I guess you can't expect the SEC to know anything about the 'smart' thing.

ND lost because they're not a good football team, UGA will realize this when they play someone with a pulse.
Few things UGA didn't invade my world- Who the hell lives in South Bend? with the exception of Notre Dame that place is in poor condition and as far as 'little' is concerned ND's fan base is like twice the size of Georgia's. We'll see how much faith the UGA faithful has in two years when ND visits however unlike UGA, ND didn't wait a century to cross the Mason Dixon. if UGA wins out (possible only Auburn really stands in the way) and proceeds to give Bama all it can handle in the title game, I swear I will apologize, sing the Dawgs praises and admit the fans mattered instead of calling it a decent team beating a mediocre one.
Midwaytyrant You are delusional if you think Notre Dame fans come in droves to Athens on gameday in two years like UGA fans did this past Thurs, Fri, Sat and Sunday. They will get their 8,000 and that will be it. I bet many of those get sold back to UGA fans. Mainly because nobody gives a damn about ND anymore except senile old white men who the only college team they ever saw on TV nationally televised was Notre Damn. Blotre Damn was the shit many many many years ago before cell phones, the internet and color television.
not a ND fan but they have a national, largely bandwagon fan base and have a significant amount of fans in every city due to the Catholic connection. They will definitely be in Athens in droves when they make the return trip. Not to the degree that UGA fans were in South Bend though but it will be far more than 8,000.
