I told my wife years ago, the only person I would ever leave her for would be Belinda Carlisle. I had a crush on Belinda when I was a young lad in the 80's, and I still have a total crush on her today! Easily the most beautiful person on the planet and she also the best voice all-time! She is absolutely the total-package! If I ever meet her, I'm scooping her up and we will live happily ever after!
1988. Its 2023 and she's just released a new song. But to think that at that moment she was only 2 albums into her solo career. All those great songs I've been re-listening to these past few days weren't even recorded yet. Leave a Light On, Half The World, and on and on. Shame they didn't get the attention they deserved etc. But I'm thankful that I have had the experience of owning multiple CD's of her music at once and being able to load a multi disc player and just let it all play. Thank you Belinda.

God gave us Belinda to show what happens when beauty meets talent ! She is genuinely a gift to music industry, her voice is truly one of a kind, her look is also very exceptionally beautiful, she is flat out gorgeous. Her songs can only be matched with her voice, I meas if you ask Lady Gaga or Ariana Grande to sing any of Belinda's song, it will not be never be as good as Belinda, as if her songs were only designed for her voice ! Belinda is my first love, I was in my junior high the first time I listened to her song, and I have been in love ever since until the second Im typing this......I love you Belinda, thank you for the great music !

This actual live show was broadcasted on Swedish TV in 1988. I loved it and today of 4.4-2022 I am watching this for the first time in over 30 years. Time flies omg! I so remember the, "Oh hello Philadelphia!"
Belinda Carlisle was scheduled to play in Stockholm, Sweden on this tour but the concert was cancelled.
As far as I know she never toured Sweden, I know she did at least one tv performance on the Swedish/Norwegian boarder a few years back. I´ve noticed past years she was touring Europa and it always was during NFL season, when I travelled to the US for Packers games so I could not travel to the UK back then.
A couple of days ago I found out she´ll be doing a concert in Stockholm with Simply Red and Natalie Imbruglia in August this year! I am the luckiest guy on earth right now!!

What a beautiful woman in every way! Her voice is so melodious and this was her in her prime at her best! She looked absolutely stunning here with the Auburn hair! She looked amazing no matter what her look was! She was a trend setter and the lead and the reason the GoGo's are in the hall of fame is this voice you're listening to right here! A truly amazing story is her life from childhood all the way to her addiction to her love of her band The GoGo's and much more! Loved her as a kid/teenager and feel the same way in my early 50's! I'll listen to her angelic and gorgeous voice until the day I die cause Belinda in her prime was that good!

I was 10 in 86. Best Yr of my life. Football (soccer) was great even though my team narrowly missed out on a league and Cup double. The world Cup In Mexico was the best ever. I was just getting into music. Belinda soon became my favourite and I think the first woman to get on my wall. Fancied her to death lol

This was an amazing vocal performance and the go go's songs sounded better than ever. Belinda looked and sounded her best!

Hello Belinda, I saw you in Costa Mesa, CA this week and you have not changed at all ! Just as cute and beautiful as ever. It was a perfect concert and I was so glad I was there, not only do you have some beautiful songs, but some real rockin' ones as well. I do not have a favorite one by you, but two of my favorites you had sang within the first 5 songs. You picked a great set that evening. Starter i feel free souds GREAT and her voice is hypnotic and psychedelic , this is one of the best concerts i`v seen , whole concert goes with great songs and the band is in absolutely great tune ..oh those 80`s and early 90`s shows ..theres a good band on stage and great Belinda on vocals . This is all what you can get a great singer and a band. I was 17-18 at this time ..now 50 years ..but still young in my soul.. cheers and thanks for this. I love you Belinda .

@@Tampa0123456789 It was most likely recorded as a live concert for TV, hence they clean up the voice of the artist. It's probably something done for MTV or something close to it. It is also not uncommon to clean up voices in post production of live concerts that is released on home video (see any other band or musician). I don't think she did playback (she didn't when she visited Norway in 2019 at least), and we can hear the differences from the original track with her words being somewhat shorter and longer.

Wow my childhood crush! I had this concert on VHS and played the hell out of it. That red hair and unique voice. No one has ever come close.
Sheer talent. Bel doesn't need acrobatics or semi-nude dancers, it's just the timeless quality of the songs, her voice, and that "girl next door" look. As an aside, I can't believe it has taken THIS long for The GoGo's to go into the Hall of Fame, but better late than never I guess.

FRIDAY NIGHT IS BELINDA CARLISLE NIGHT, that is what i say! So nice to watch this concert, in what must have been the year i first saw Belinda live too. Some songs i have never heard, mainly Go Go songs; but Belinda has sung a few of these in later concerts. Robert, Bournemouth, England.

Loved the songs, the performances, her stage moves, her vocals, her looks and that beautiful hair.
The coolest thing in this performance is that it's pure LIVE! No backing tracks etc apart from what they do in modern pop nowadays.

I love this concert. I had it on vhs and I have watched it so many times. I would watch it over and over again, had to rewind the tape of course in between, because that's how it was done back in the days.
Back in the day when you could go to a concert and feel happy just listening to the music and seeing her energy even if it was not your favorite music. It wasnt overblown. There werent crazy costume changes. Just talent and joy of getting to be onstage singing the songs her fans liked in the moment we liked them. The Britney Spears, Pink, Taylor Swift nonsense has to be overblown because its all commercial misdirection to hide the lack of talent and sincerity. Nothing from the heart that created memories. I was someone who went to all the rock concerts and preferred them but I did go see Belinda with young lady friends for a variety of reasons during this time and it was just great to see her sing and enjoy it reminding us of GoGos days while also seeing her making her new kind of music. Really one of the last of an era and glad some of her contemporaries are still out there like she is singing these great songs. We had it good being young in those days. All the best to Belinda!!
