- Join us as we pour a standard concrete patio and get a driveway ready to pour for the following day. My truck driver had me pretty worked up today. This is just reality, I am going to show the good and the bad but I might edit the ugly a bit!
The fact I know what kind of concrete you’re ordering word for word everytime tells me I’ve seen a lot of your videos 😂
I get the slump but nothing else. What does it all mean?

Couple years back had a homeowner got mad as could be that I had “easy money” wrote the screed board . All because he thought he was getting overcharged in the first place .
I would have walked.. you can't do sarcasm, I can't do your work.. plenty more out there.

After finding this channel yesterday I know understand why I can’t really watch Dirt monkey anymore, or any other channel for that matter. It’s because they don’t have the sense of humor that Ryan has. I’ve been binge watching every video ever since I found this channel and now I’m at work while my machine is running like a champ sitting on a plastic 5G bucket still binge watching this channel.!!! (I work night shift 11pm to 7am)

Only on interior work. You are not supposed to trowel exterior flat work, it supposedly weakens the surface.
@@VictoryOutdoorServices Hell yeah! exterior concrete is aerated Trowel or fresno removes those pockets increasing the surface to separate during temperature shock.

You talked about making advertising and flyers on the job. But what if you would put your ‘VOS stamp’ in the concrete at the end of the driveway. Not too big, but if somebody would have a closer look at your excellent job they would probably recognize the VOS logo.
Give the owner $100 discount, and you got your lifetime commercial 😉

I wish I was younger I'd come work for you. The other problem is I'm disabled from a construction accident. You and your crew are a happy bunch. And like I've always told people that if your boss and those around you are happy the days can go really well. I've worked for some grumpy people before and not one person was ever happy or enjoyed coming into work. The only reason we were there is because it was a job and we were union making great money.

i work masonry, but do concrete from time to time and when i tell ya concrete changes people, it changes people, tempers always flare and it's like a warzone, it is hilarious

Oh MAN! I was hoeing the other day and the rubber part came off of my hoe. I jammed my thumb into my leg and it hurt like hell. I cursed the manufacturer, wondering why they don't glue the dang things on!!!! All I could think was there's men out there that use these tools every day for several hours and there's no glue?!! My son has special needs and this is the only one of these types of videos my son will sit and watch with me. If your videos don’t have Daryl Jr. he loses interest. He likes that Daryl is getting a chance to be productive. We need more Daryl Jr. He always makes the mood better. What a gift

Do you think you could get Jr to go to the gym with you? You can see the poor guy struggling to carry that weight around. And the apnea he lives with taken care of would be a big help. The next 5 years will be a determining factor if he makes it to 40.

When you call in your concrete what is it your saying. ? 7 bag Yada Yada yada.. you say alot but wanting to know what exactly it all means..In detail
7 bag-how much cement content per one cubic yard of concrete. Low chert-what type of aggregate I want in the concrete. Air- Air entrained concrete. Micro fiber- A type of fiber mesh reinforcement. 5 Inch slump-How wet I want the concrete when it arrives. 1/2% NCA- How much accelerator I would like in the concrete to increase set time. That should cover it. If you look up those terms that should give you a good understanding. Thank you for watching!
@@VictoryOutdoorServices It's funny, I drive a concrete agitator in Melbourne Australia and it's totally different here. Our slump (how wet) is in millimetres, the strength you order is 15,20,32,40,50 or 60 mpa, we have 7,14, 20 millimetre aggregate and you order by cubic metres.
