Listen to mind blowing songs of Dil se (1998) ,listen it to multiple times, don't give a shit to language. You will know why AR rahman is a genius after listening to this wonderful album.
I have probably watched all of AR’s interviews out on UA-cam. This is one of the best interviews !! Some of the stories and technical details shared here I have not heard before.
So inspiring to know the story behind slumdog millionaire... ARR was very very busy but still destiny brought both Danny Boyle & ARR together... After many failed attempts.... They give it a shot & rest is history
This deserves a couple million views every week. A case study for every new gen musician / composer in India who think they are A R Rahman…..no !!! Legends like him are once in a lifetime . RESPECT 🙏
Heartful thanks to the SCORE team for this great interview. You guys asked some highly relevant and to the point questions. Still learned a few new things about ARR despite having seen tons of his interviews. It is not easy to get maestro talking :-). Kudos to you once again for doin a fantastic job. Loved it.
As someone who grew up listening to AR and a hobbyist musician, I find this interview extremely refreshing! It’s wonderful to see how AR thinks about technology and dive deep into some of the technical details!
He is wonderful man down to earth what he was talking is true because I have see him with my eyes we where childhood friends he is a music computer he work is highly sounds perfects
The young guy doesn't know A R Rahman is a God given gift. Rockstars are by the dozens but there is only one A R Rahman. Roja, Dil Se, Bombay, Saathiya, Rangeela, Rang De Basanti and it goes on, Jai Ho was not even close to his best, not even his top 100th best.
Wow... Waiting for Your Branch at Mumbai Sir.. You look smart and cool... The decision of Your Mother was tremendous, the belief, She had in You... Our Family Enjoy all Your Songs and BGM... Just uttering or hearing, the one word Rahman, We all become very emotional... Enjoyed also 99 Songs... All the Best Sir 🙏
A r r 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😘😘😘😘😘 Good interview guys, goosebumps when he said he heard the pussycat dolls at electronic store, and he mentioned “ what a programmer” after hearing A R ‘s original composition
Great discussion but don't agree with the title at all, Rahman himself has admitted having several mentors and muses...he's not entirely self taught but a prodigal musician
Wish the paid media, leftists, rightists or whatever the hell they are here in our country, pay some attention to this video and start cultivating the habit of treating and interviewing our legends the right way
A.R.Rahman is not 'Self taught'!! He learned music from a legendary South Indian music composer. After completing Learning, he worked for years under another lagendary, iconic composer 'Ilayaa Raajaa'!! And most of, Rahman himself said that 'my life was changed immediately after i heard the music of Greec Maestro Vangelis'!! Then how can u call him a 'self taught'!!
how narrow minded americans are...they don't know anything about anywhere until it hits their shores...rahman should have been a bit a bit cocky to the young guy and told him his status of a mega star in India years before jai ho...jai ho was just one of the things he did...i would say its not one of his best work among all his other works...its just that it was his best global work...
Came from Insta Reels. Recent times I have bored of Rahman's interview where asking about Roja and life. But his interview this new and reality.
My introduction to A.R. Rahman’s music score comes from the Hundred Foot Journey.

The music "my mind is a stranger without you" in Hundred foot journey is so awesome!!

We are ignorant to appreciate Slumdog millionaire music. But Americans appreciated and given Academy awards. 🙏
