- We’re back in Korea after quite a hectic trip in Japan, so over the last week we’ve have had some much-needed ‘chill time’. This is honestly our absolute favorite season in Seoul, because the weather is so sunny and beautiful, (without the dreaded summer humidity) there are so many ways to enjoy time outdoors. We hit up one of the most gorgeous, relaxing cafes we’ve ever been to, and later enjoyed a chill picnic date in Gwacheon City.

What a small world! I got married at 6:30 pm that day at the Floating Islands! That food festival made it difficult for guests to arrive on time though as Banpo Bridge was closed off coming in from the Gangbuk.

I love how the Korean culture does their weddings! That would be a cool concept to talk about in a video. How different culture celebrate their wedding ceremony. Because in the state it’s bad luck to see the bride in her dress before she walks down the isle and we eat after the ceremony were we have the wedding in a church. As well as the father walks down the bride. Does the Korean culture do that?

Such a relaxing vlog, as always, great job guys. It's so interesting seeing the differences between Korean weddings and weddings here in Ireland, couldn't be more different. That cafe looked so pretty, but I have to say, seeing a scone not being served with jam and butter made me feel sad! It's the only way to eat scones XD

Oh I've never had ice cream and a scone together. But I can definitely imagine it tasting delicious. Normally where I live scones are something you have for breakfast or as part of afternoon tea.

Your friends were like celebs that day! That was really cool seeing the huge poster on the venue. Totally reminded me of any sports arena you go to and you see the star players plastered all over the outside haha. $18 for a watermelon!!! I knew fruit in Korea was expensive, but dang that is ridiculous. Just bought one from Costco the other day for $4 US lol. And I'm getting arthritis just looking at those detailed designs haha. Looks great and very intricate, but my finger joints hurt now haha. Can't wait for whatever is to come next week!

They all differ, but they’re usually pretty fancy. That being said, the dress code is superrr casual compared to what I’m used to in Canada. Kyuho was more on the dressed up side 😅
Have you been to Namsan tower and have you made a video about it? I've always thought that if I ever got to visit Korea that I'd like to visit Namsan tower.
Yes we have-bout 2-3 years ago 😊 One thing you really need to consider is the air quality on the day you go...if the air quality index is above 70, it’ll likely just look super smoggy from up there :/

Wow...we just bought a watermelon for $3.50 here. Is everything that expensive in Korea? 😳 The weather looked awesome. There are lots of places for outdoor activities where you live. 👍🏼 Bet you’re counting the days until you get to go to Canada. 😁
Judy Logsdon That’s around the same price we’d pay for a watermelon or cantaloupe in my hometown in Canada. Fresh produce is often very expensive in Korea-especially fruit. Waaaay more expensive than Canada and the U.S in most cases.

Do they also do traditional Korean wedding separately too? Or just depends?
Some people do ‘Pyebaek’ right after the wedding ceremony, but we’ve personally noticed fewer and fewer people do it these days. We didn’t, and many of our friends (including the ones at this wedding) who have gotten married over the few years haven’t either. It’s really expensive and quite time-consuming, and we didn’t want to miss out on greeting our guests after the wedding ceremony ^^

Yup~ totally normal here. They usually go down a little in price within a few weeks, but at many of the markets right now the average price seems to be between $15-18.
In Malaysia.. Watermelon is available all year round and we take them for granted. ☺️
I can tell you about the real Korea I have known for over 10 years...it aint this...I dunno wtf this is...
