Seriously, what makes these tourists so stupid? I adore Ormonde! I really wish they'd do a far better job protecting these majestic horses and their guards. FYI people - a horse nose is sensitive and they don't like being tickled on their nose.

To the people giving a respectable distance to these wonderful animals, I applaud you. To the people putting fingers or sticking cameras in the horses' faces, standing too close (everybody deserves their personal space), or plopping their persons in front of the majestic mount I say you need sensitivity classes. Understand horses before you approach them and understand they are not statues but rather highly trained mounts for the king's guards (specially trained soldiers) who deserve our respect.

Ormonde is actually a sweet horse to those who enter his space respectfully, and keep a proper distance. He even lets some of them stroke his nose. Once he's had enough, though he gives silly people a good bite.
I can't help but think horses are a lot like cats. When the ears go back, They Who Must Be Obeyed are not amused!

I have a question. Why do they send Ormonde to do box duty when they know he bites? I don’t approve on the tourist touching the guards or horses, but why knowing send a biting horse out to be with the public. Are you just asking for a problem to arise?
