Man I totally agree with you, I have seen a lot of bass players that are great but none that I have seen is on this man's level and the thing about Matt he plays like everything is so simple. I am a bass player and I have seen great bass players over the years.... he is my number one!!

I agree, and I've been looking for that for a couple years with no luck! Haha! Much of it is based on the way he plays (with his fingers), but he definitely uses distortion (or some kind of fuzz/overdrive), compression, he boosts the mids a bit to make it cut through in the mix, and he may have a slight octaver and/or chorus on it as well, but it's difficult to tell. I've created a couple similar tone on my HX Stomp that I love, but depending on the bass of course, the settings need to be adjusted.
