It's so true! I've only heard this from Black parents though, is this just a Black culture thing? My mom was so upset with my older sister for black being her favorite color and when I got black tips on my nails instead of the regular, white french tips she was like "what does that mean?!" I was like it just means this the color I wanted on my nails. Whew chile! She would unnecessarily read into stuff like that and then my other relatives started asking her the same question when would get her hair done or do anything knew because they found it to be incredibly annoying lol
