Thanks so much for showing us the chickens! I miss mine. We had them when I was growing up. Nothing so fancy as your coop. We had the basic long coop with a metal laying set-up. They had perches for nighttime. During the day, we let them out to roam around. We didn't have a fence in front. We did in back, but they did not use it much and it was in the woods so difficult to maintain. In the winter, we had a heated water dish. The water pump was in the coop. Next door was the duck house. It was much smaller. But big enough since we never had a lot of ducks. We also had the cluck house which was a small raised bldg where we put the hens who were sitting. Do you say, "sitting?" I do NOT miss cleaning the chicken coop and I always thought that should be my Mom's job since they were her chickens. Dad and I milked and I thought that was plenty of cleaning! :)
@shalacarter6658 we love having the chickens, my grandparents had some when I was vety young and I've wanted them ever since. I love our girls, they are so funny.
Happy Belated Birthday, honey! I need to go follow you on FB. I never remember to check IG. Glad you got spoiled this year! Do I feel like I need or want less things? Yes! What I want now is HELP! But, no one ever listens to me. :( I had a list. They didn't get me anything off my list. They gave me a model Star Trek Original Series Enterprise. I like it! But, I really wanted that fruit cake from the town down the road. Oh, and I get to buy myself a new dress. I wear dresses all the time. I got tired of wearing the same one every time we went out, so I am going to get it in black. GET WELL SOONER! Our football team won the bowl game! This is huge for us!
@shalacarter6658 thank you for the birthday wishes. I spoilt myself and bought some new saucepans, lol. I then retreated back home and curled up on the bed. I know how to live it up lol. My lot got the things on my list for me and a few that weren't. I love them all. I woukd suggest that along with the new dessses you go and buy the cake from the next town, you deserve it. @@parsleyhillspaniels393 Great presents! We recently had the bottom of a skillet fall off while J2 was scrambling eggs. Thankfully, it was a two-layered skillet. You deserve new saucepans! We bought ours in '97 with money from Grandma T for our wedding. :) Please sleep more!!!!!!!!!! I am worried about you out there traipsing around in the woods with Pneumonia! Thanks ! Our team has not been to a bowl game in 9 years. :( blessings!
