Young goons. Rick Beato is a legend. Definitely not taken seriously enough but he’s very wise, opinions are constructed with real and deep knowledge of music, and always asks the best possible question to his interviewees that in turn create the best answers. Don’t see why young goofballs would talk down on their much more experienced and knowledgeable elder.
I kinda just clicked on this one because I was curious as to what the hell Mia Khalifa had to do with signature guitars, or just guitars as a subject in general... I was admittedly quite baffled for a bit there.
I would say if the inlays were a bit less of an “i am an a7x fanboy” feel. I would say it is in A, it was one of my first guitars i really wanted and tried it and loved it. But in the end i went more into death metal and left a7x behind kinda, so unless you are in a coverband, you cant really use it on stage without looking goofy.
@@l0rd_breeigo-sama954 i would rather have a signature guitar where it's representative who's it from, rather than having a bland looking one and having no idea it's even a signature model.
@@gergoretvari6373 very valid point. But would it not still be synyster gates’ guitar without the inlays? I like the rest of the design, but the inlays just scream it.
@@l0rd_breeigo-sama954 yeah i see what you mean. There is a Custom shop version where only the 12th fret has a single inlay and thats his new logo, not the deathbat. I agree btw, even if it doesnt have the inlay you can still tell that its his guitar.
Luthiers say that they got faulty necks. From time to time I check one luthier's (the one who does AMAZING job) social media, and almost every month there are warped EB MM, both regular JP and Majesty. Guess it's wiser to buy used, at least few years old, so chances are that if something was about to happen to the neck - it happened already.
Well to be fair both of them are fairly young and Atreyu hasn't really done anything noteworthy in quite awhile. I'm pretty sure their last hyped up album release was Lead Sails and a Paper Anchor, which came out 16 years ago now.
Malmsteen signature is S. Scallops, extra jumbo frets, signature pups, classic 70’s headstock and aesthetic but with the reinforced machine mount 4 screw neck plate, nitrocellulose finish, no load tone control, three-way pup selector, brass nut… There’s so many specs that actually justify it as a signature guitar. And if you’re going for THAT kind of playing, tone etc… nothing else will play and sound like it.
I think the Snakebyte should be higher on the list. It is the first variation on the explorer that I actually like. Not to pointy, still keeps some of that classic explorer vibe, but modernized just enough to make is relevant. If the ESP model wasn't so much damn money, I would own one. and IMO it has a little taken away, not added :)
I'm going to guess they weren't out at the time of filming but it would be cool to see how the old and new Tim Henson and Scott lepaige signature AZs stand up against the other sigs
KDH : Please include the Charvel "Hendrik Danhage Heavy Relic" which I own one. I never heard of him but when I saw it/played it I went home with it. The DiMarzio neck Pup quacks right up there with YJM's "Duck" Strat.
Ok, luthier here. The only one I (might) disagree with is the Warlock. I loved that scene so much that I made a replica of it just so I could go trick or treating with it. I used a Spark Mini to amplify myself. Best Halloween in a long time. I fell in love with the guitar and I still play it often. I love how comfortable it is and how badass it looks. If I didn’t have the skill that I have, it’s the only one on the list I would actually spend money on. But that’s just me. Love your video and you guys have great taste. Keep up the good work!
Strats and Superstrats all go to D or even E for me, don't care for them. The MusicMan Abasi goes riiiight down to F with Kerry King's V. Fugly things. The Larada and Snakebyte both belong in A! Always loved Synyster Gate's models, it would hit an A for me too. When you're used to the black/silver one the other color schemes he's had over the years look so good. Maybe not the purple/green one, but the rest are nice. If they ever make a hardtail version of the goldburst or silverburst ones I just might get one.
I've actually got an old Kerry King Signature V back when he was with B.C Rich knocking around here somewhere. Huge guitar, sounds dirty and looks even dirtier. I've not been impressed with his Dean guitars, but this old B.C Rich of his was a bit of a beast!
What's with the Beato bashing? He is knowledgeable, his videos are usually very educational, he's a good guitar player and musician with a fair amount of experience and insight into the business, so why are so many people bashing him recently? He must be doing some things right, otherwise he wouldn't have a successful YT channel nor a signature Gibson guitar! Sounds like jealousy to me! Don't watch his videos if you don't like him, but this constant bashing is just juvenile and silly!

You mentioned the PRS one breaking or scratching. While I don't own a super expensive PRS and I assumed the same thing, they're supposed to be super durable and almost impossible to scratch and I haven't seen a scratched PRS guitar so far.

@Bigovsky Funny how often those opinions are expressed based entirely on the opinions of others, isn’t it?
Nice to see sixstringtv on the channel. More collabs with him, please!
Don't you worry!
I'd say the Dan Jacobs Kiesel looks more like a used sanitary pad, but that might not be the most youtube friendly observation
Boomers go boom
I kinda just clicked on this one because I was curious as to what the hell Mia Khalifa had to do with signature guitars, or just guitars as a subject in general... I was admittedly quite baffled for a bit there.
Syn Custom is a sick guitar. Plays great and looks awesome on a stand.
It’s hideoussss and so is the band
Saw mia khalifa on the thumbnail, didnt even need to think of anyone else than sixtstringtv 😂😂
I won’t stand for the a7x Schecter slander… jk it’s one of my all time favorites tho
it's an amazing guitar. They definitely did it a disservice.
opinions can be a fertile ground for controversy. I love it too tho.
What about the John Petrucci models?
Luthiers say that they got faulty necks. From time to time I check one luthier's (the one who does AMAZING job) social media, and almost every month there are warped EB MM, both regular JP and Majesty. Guess it's wiser to buy used, at least few years old, so chances are that if something was about to happen to the neck - it happened already.
Baffled that Atreyu is an unknown band to these guy 🤯
It is probably a unknown band to a lot of people.
I never heard anyone ever talk about them.
Well to be fair both of them are fairly young and Atreyu hasn't really done anything noteworthy in quite awhile. I'm pretty sure their last hyped up album release was Lead Sails and a Paper Anchor, which came out 16 years ago now.
@@countzero5150 wow, that makes me feel old af.
Who?
Malmsteen signature is S. Scallops, extra jumbo frets, signature pups, classic 70’s headstock and aesthetic but with the reinforced machine mount 4 screw neck plate, nitrocellulose finish, no load tone control, three-way pup selector, brass nut…
There’s so many specs that actually justify it as a signature guitar. And if you’re going for THAT kind of playing, tone etc… nothing else will play and sound like it.
I like the Adam jones signature. But I can’t afford it.
And they made the Epiphone versions limited so hardly anyone can get them. Hate Gibson.
@@PatrickBateman1337 same
you can look for used silver bursts on reverb
@@ashleyjohansson230 oh yeah, cos they're definitely reasonably priced on reverb....
@@PatrickBateman1337 silverburst epiphones not adam jones lol
Came for the thumbnail, stayed for the content.
That being said, how come you guys didn't discussed the Uli Jon Roth signature guitar?
I think the Snakebyte should be higher on the list. It is the first variation on the explorer that I actually like. Not to pointy, still keeps some of that classic explorer vibe, but modernized just enough to make is relevant. If the ESP model wasn't so much damn money, I would own one. and IMO it has a little taken away, not added :)
Don't like Kellys?
@Panama Jack nah never have been crazy about the Kelly. Not sure why, but just never did it for me.
I'm going to guess they weren't out at the time of filming but it would be cool to see how the old and new Tim Henson and Scott lepaige signature AZs stand up against the other sigs
KDH and 6STV collabs are always goated 👌🏾
I'd suggest Devin Townsend's Framus Stormbender, John Petrucci's EBMM Majesty, Joe Satriani's Chrome Boy and Paul Gilbert's Fireman
I'm a simple man, I see Mia in the thumbnail, I click.
Finally a new video from KDH, I just love your content and your accent especially! Keep up the great work!
And now the Yngwie is gonna claim thst he invented Kinder scalloped chocolate bar...........
ngl that Ormsby reminds me of original CoD MW2 so much, that shits insane
@KDH holy shit i just noticed the thumbnail 🤣🤣🤣
lmao i thought it was mia kalifa in the thumbnail was like wtf why is a porn star got a sig guitar??!?!
im not even gonna attempt to lie... this is my first ever time seeing any of you, and the only thing that made me click on this video was me thinking "what on EARTH does mia khalifa have to do with fuckin guitars?"
You cant imagine my shock when i heard "Mia´s" first words in this video....
like seriously... that thumbnail image? yeah, my man looks straight up like mia khalifa...
The best Schecter I've ever played was the Chris Poland Poltergeist signature. Sucks that he dropped Schecter almost immediately and it was only produced for 1yr...a really sweet looking and sounding axe... for a Schecter
Bruh Synyster Gates' signature guitar is my dream guitar 😂
There's a 13 or 14 year old thai female street musician called "Queen on the street" who plays an orianthi signature regularly in downtown Phuket. Talented and badass
10:55 I audibly let outta laugh when you did that, good shit😂😂😂
Phil Collen signature white Charvel Jackson was awesome, but well, the new PC1 is also beautiful.
Rick Beato invented Kahler
Im always amazed of how different our tier lists end up being so different (I mean. Making my own in my head while watching yours) haha some low tiers we completely agree
Broderick in E is a crime.
You mentioned the PRS one breaking or scratching. While I don't own a super expensive PRS and I assumed the same thing, they're supposed to be super durable and almost impossible to scratch and I haven't seen a scratched PRS guitar so far.
You definitely get buckle rash and pick scratches on the PRS finishes. It's a bit harder to get deep scratches though. (But they do chip if you bang them on the coffee table! From experience.)
KDH is famous for digging deep into sources and researching topics for weeks or months for his journalistic reporting. I, too, have mined the depths for some very specific information about KDH himself. After extensive exploration, fact-finding, and analysis, I can bring you breaking news on a very closely-guarded bit of secret personal information about KDH…..
He likes Kahlers.
My store had the Orianthi PRS, I played it, I'd put it in E tier tbh. Not because of the price, but because it doesn't feel any different than any other PRS
Yeah it's spec'd no differently than any other Custom 24 AFAICT. Just the fancy finish and inlays. And the exclusivity.
@@mikeomatic9905 Every PRS feels the exact same to me, which is good for consistency, but I hate it 😅
