Around the area hasn't been too bad/ quite low.
There's an option on Google maps- you can filter to show covid figures for an area, worldwide.

Not really. We got there at about 1.30, had a drink in the Tavern while I walked around and got most of the footage. Restaurant reservation was at 2, so some footage was taken at maybe 3.30?
Was very quiet, though.

Hi. What's villamartin like to live all year round as I'm looking at either there or la Torre golf resort. It just looks like there's more to do there rather than la Torre. Many Thanks mike
Hi. Andy lives not far from La Torre on Sierra Golf. And they're completely different to other areas. (A few bars etc. But need a car to get anywhere/ not much with walking distance)
Villamartin has a lot there and around- lots of comercial centers etc. And a bus service. You may get more for your money on *some* golf resorts (a detached villa for the price of an apartment in villamartin area is one example)- your best bet is to visit and get a feel for a place, especially if a permanent move. (Ideally you only want to do it once)
Hope that helps. Give us a shout if you need more help in finding priperties/ locations. Look at places like older well established places such as La Siesa, El Chaparral, San Luis, etc. As they are possibly more geared up for a permanent move and are less of a "holiday type feel" place..
Lovely thanks for reply. Most useful. I'm looking at a permanent move in 5 years time when I retire. But wanted to find a place as soon as the borders open again to use as a holiday home before I go for residency. So was going to look at la Torre hacienda riquelme and villamartin. I ideally want it next to a golf course for me near shops and bars/entertainment for the wife and close to the sea for both of us.

Yo llevaba el Mantenimiento de este en su dia Apartahotel. Yo fui el primero que lo cuidé. 1988 -1990..como han crecido las palmeras. Habia otro tipo de fuente mas bonita. Habia mas espacio. Observo que los primeros comercios ya no queda ninguno. En Septiembre de 1989 se inundo toda la plaza debido a unas inundaciones. Este lugar esta hecho junto a una rambla. Entonces en un principio era un bello lugar. Ahora todo esto es una pura colmena y lo degraciaron. Lamentablemente los primeros constructores era una familia originaria de Orihuela. Creo que todos han muerto. Casi todos sus trabsjadores trabajaban sin contrato. Fue muy vergonzoso la forma que se creo este complejo que para mi es una mala inversion

Y me da pena decir esto. Pero siempre guardaré un bonito recuerdo. Los primeros negocios, eran ingleses, Suecos, españoles. Habían hasta una lavandería planta baja. Entonces era Apartshotel . Todas esas personas, se portaron muy bien conmigo. Pero por lo que veo ya no están. A mi juicio se pasaron en construir tanto.
If that is Villa Martin on a good Friday, I don't want to see it on a bad Friday. I know its a vibrant place and it will be again once we sort this corona-bollocks out.
