There's more to it. You will need to understand prints, distinguish splice places, testing, OLTS/ONTS architecture, PON of ISP/OSP and because is fiber optics, any CFOT/S/FTTx/Design is ahead of most IT that only have old school knowledge.
so this is a far fetched question. ive just started splicing in house for my company and we no longer use distribution hubs and instead use Amphenol CWDM HiDT that go in the trays themselves. from my understanding these are new and i cant find any videos on them. if you have any experience with these if you could make a quick video it would help alot. thanks.
Just cleaning up a network have some new videos releasing this week a commercial build new development area with about 8 foscs to build so lots of videos over the next two weeks 🙌
Never thought I'd be watching someone splice fiber, but totally enjoyed it. Quite fascinating!
30 years ago, this was somewhat specialized work.
Today, the right machine and a UA-cam video would do.

Wow the speed and technology has improved dramatically in 20 years. My lord that's like 100x faster to do than 20 years ago.
Dreams of figure 8's...
The wack to remove de enclorure ring is standar practice here too!
Nice views and good work mate.
