This game changed the future of the NFL for at least 6 years form this point forward. This game allowed the Giants to win 2 super bowls, the Redskins to win 2 super bowl as well, and allow Joe Montana to become a legend.
Dan Hampton had a tremendous game! I remember this game well! He won it with his safety! There's another version of this game from another profile. The Charles Martin hit was originally on it ..then it was cut out for some reason. Ya see the Int (the play happened on an Int that Jim McMahon threw)...then McMahon warming up. The entire hit and replays were cut out. Wonder if NFL films or copywriting has something to do with it, cause there's been a few guys that posted the Bears/Bills game from 1988. Within a day or so it's taken down for restriction reasons.... Anyway. Jim McMahon didn't just wither in pain after the hit. That's the other thing folks forget. He got up. And played a few more quarters! Yeah! Tough SOB!
The Packers taught the NFL how to beat the Bears. Cheap Shots and constant threat of roughing the passer. The Bears, with McMahon, were by far the best team in the NFL and most likely the greatest team in history. Fudge Packers! I hate them to this day.
@@froggy5935 delusional. Your the one delusional. ESPN has them ranked #1, pro football network has them at #3. Before McMahon's injury he could scramble with the best ever and his arm was a gun with tight spirals which is very difficult in ChiTown with the strong winds. They had the best defense ever.

But what the giants did at the end of the 86 season in prep for a possible bears rematch, in regards to the two tight end pass/run options, they were better in 86, other than the 89 niners it’s still to this day the biggest margin of playoff Victory in the playoffs. Before Tonya Harding, there was the 1986 Green Bay Packers.
The rock bottom executed on Jim McMahon on behalf of Charles Martin was the most interesting storyline from this game.
More like a modified German Suplex.

I can't Thankyou enough for putting these up!

I forget that McMahon continued to play after the throw down but the damage was done
I didn't know that either.
Good game, I like your channel I checked your videos I was hoping to find the 76 year browns vs Steelers game didn’t see it.
Not sure if that game is available, will check to see if can find anything. It usually is harder to find anything pre 1978.
Charles Martin was probably the first player to introduce the WWE to the NFL. In a way, he's a pioneer or trendsetter.
#9 (Jimmy Mac), #34 (Sweetness), #29 (Dennis Gentry), #83 (Willie Gault) and I think #63 (Jay Hilgenberg)
2:29:21 Didn't the Packer's QB step over the line of scrimmage for that TD pass?
The 46 yard line.
2:35 First Bears Possession
9:34 Packers first posession
17:09 Packers posession
21:45 Bears possession
30:32 Bears possession
McMahon got targeted twice (one in this game cut out) well after the play and both caused injuries. Both would be lawsuits today.
Why was the interception/body slam omitted?
Blocked on UA-cam unfortunately.

wtf? You cut out the body slam?
Why didni they show the hit on McMahon😮

Bears win superbowl again if Martin didn’t slam him.Martin should have been sent to prison.
They weren’t beating the giants that year
