    Hi Ralf, great performance as usual... you are simply great! I have a question, since you tried out both the kit, aDrums Artist seriers and ESX-5 paired with the Mimic Pro, is there any difference in terms of sensitivity and playability between the two kits? And also, the price difference is worth? I'm going to purchase a complete set and I need to be sure on which kit perform better paired with Mimic Pro. Thanks in advance!

      Thank you very much! The aDrums pads feel more solid for sure, the biggest difference is the bass drum. The xD-K13 is very bouncy & does not feel very bass drum like actually, the 18" aDrums or a diabolo series 18" Real Feel bass drums feel much more natural. You could apply one or too pad upgrades to the EXS-5 and have a great kit like this for example:

    Fantastic sound module; Roland should be ashamed of themselves.
    I only hope the toms will improve (they sound too ‘perfect’), and a revolution in triggers/sensor to get rid of only a few trigger points for a tom or cymbal

    Hi,
    I'm looking to soon buy an electronic drum kit for one of my rooms. Can you please tell me, will me hitting the snare, toms or bass drum make much noise to an outsider if I'm wearing headphones?
    Also, I'm confused by all the options. Do you have set kits (acoustic look) that come with the module?

    • @drumtecTV
      @drumtecTV  3 роки тому +1

      Hi, the drum-tec pads are the most silent option available. You can find bass drum noise level shootouts here:
      ua-cam.com/video/rQcpY2VAuro/v-deo.html
      ua-cam.com/video/J9Ig12wXESQ/v-deo.html
      At the end of each drum-tec Silent Sessions track, you will also find a small passage where the sound of the complete kit in the room is shown:

    Absolutely good playing, as always! How's the triggering and latency of the EXS -5? I'd use it mainly to trigger Superior Drummer 3, so the sounds are not that important to me. I upgraded my DM 10 X with the drumtec mesh heads, and it improved quite a bit... Is it worth the switch to the EXS 5?

    • @drumtecTV
      @drumtecTV  3 роки тому

      Hey Vincenzo, thank you very much! The ATV pads would be a big improvement over the Alesis DM10 pads, they have much better build quality and a different trigger system (which is 100% Roland compatible as well), apart from this they have bigger diameters (13" on snare & low tom), which makes the kit far superior.
      You could take the kit 1 step further & replace the xD-K13 bass drum pad with an 18" diabolo or ATV aDrums bass drum for much better playability (since the xD-K13 is VERY bouncy) and get some drum-tec Real Feel heads on snare & toms, which would elevate the whole thing to another level once more :)
      Please feel free to get in touch through service@drum-tec.de for any further questions or an individual quote on any custom kit configuration (you might get a standard or modfied EXS kit with or without sound module just the way you need it). Kind regards!

      The EXS pads trigger/play great, but in terms of feel the aDrums pads have a more realistic touch.
      It just feels different if you hit solid wood shells or plastic pads :) although that does not make too much of a difference for the module/triggering probably, but the feel is definitely different.
      Also the aDrums bass drum plays much nicer than the EXS bass drum pads & has a very different rebound. Kind regards!
