This old Great Gramma has got to say this. This young family is letting you into their lives. You are guests in their home and in their lives. They do not owe you anything. Please behave like you have been taught some sort of manners.
Life is messy sometimes. Whoever is hassling you about unfinished projects needs to mind their own business. I enjoy your videos and appreciate all the work you do. ❤
Those people saying you don't get things done are very likely letting someone else put a roof over their heads while they play video games all day!! It is, in fact, amazing what you guys get done!! So impressed with all you do! AND, you are building wealth and value! You are winners! God bless you❤
Real life does happen and I understand. I'm simply here to walk through life with you and family (sounds freakish). Down the years you, Evvee and the kids have bought a spark to my days. Continue to work at your own pace as you see fit
Your excavator is sure the little workhorse. I remember when you bought it…& the debate of whether to get it in the first place…but it’s proven to be quite handy. 😊❤
It's honestly one of my favorite purchases. Financially, it probably wasn't the best decision, but we have accomplished so much with it. We use it a lot.
You shouldn’t have to always explain your actions and decisions this is your life not ours. I just enjoy all your progress. I will be excited to see the kitchen renovation in your house when y’all do that have a great day.
Well yeah, but we just figure it's nice to let people know that we will be taking a little longer than expected to get back to the mobile home renovation. Because they will ask and get upset at us for not working on it.
You guys are so resourceful, you manage to find a way to get any job done. 💪 It’s no fun spending money on necessities but having proper brakes and new tires is a good feeling. 😃 Thanks for filming and sharing some “real life” with us. I enjoy just hanging out with you all. ❤ Who’s up for laundry ? 😂
We used that song a while ago while doing some excavator work and it was a big hit so that's just our excavator music now. So in a way, our viewers picked the music this time, haha. Thanks :)
Is there anything you can’t do ,master carpenter, plumber,Heavy Equipment operator,Master electrician,Auto mechanic,Painter, and a great Husband and Father. Enjoy all your videos. You couldn’t do any of it without your Beautiful Wife 👍👍
As I discovered earlier this year, all tires have a date code on them on the inside wall. Generally if it's around 10 years old, it's recommended to replace them as they start to deteriorate after that. Mine were original to my car, 18 years old. Might explain all of the flats that I kept getting lol. Life is expensive, most of us can understand delays.
I love the choreography, No one can say you don't think outside the box..A great family a great show.Doing things your way in your time frame just the way it should be,Thank you .❤❤
I love your video’s . Good to See you invest in a Set of New tires and brakes , safty First. You are Doing a good Job and many people are learning from your skills. Keep up the good work. ❤❤❤❤
Also, you are keeping your family safe on the road with good tires and brakes ❤️. The complaining losers are most likely the ones exceeding all speed limits and passing in no passing lanes. Seems to be so much of that in Indiana right now and law enforcement can't be everywhere all the time
Lately, a lot of people have been going way above the speed limit on our road. I don't even feel like taking bikerides anymore because of that. They drove much slower when we moved in.
@diyfferent yes. I noticed during COVID this was happening and when I said so, it was not believed until it was posted in major newspapers and talked about on newcasts. It was reported that cars driving past the museum in Indy were going 100mph! Unbelievable! You're right not to put yourself on your bike for now. My son was really into biking for some time and said some drivers would deliberately push him off the road!
The tires definitely looked like dry rot. When we changed out tires, we'd always save the best one to use as a spare. Yup..that time of year for property taxes, pay them and get it over with is my motto!
Doug and Evee I have enjoyed watching all of your videos, today the music fit taking down the tree 🌳 😂. Please your faithful follower’s really do not need for you to explain anything financial. There are things that should remain private and it’s not any of our business. I’m 73 and there was a time when people respected their family and friends and we would never feel the need to inform, anyone of our finances. Having said that you must be inundated with questions about how you can afford what you do. I love how creative you are on how to change tires and putting on brakes, of course use the excavator 😂😂😂😂Have a Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 ❤
Life always has away of getting between us and our plans. It’s a good thing you guys are flexible and can roll with the punches. Love the music choice. 😊😊😊
As a family that works hard to live within your means, I totally understand you having to hold off and save up to do projects. Love following you around on your projects.
Looked like a screw or nail was in the tread. They definitely needed to be replaced! Do you have a magnet sweeper? With all you do w/screws & nails it may be a good inexpensive investment. The kiddo's could hunt for the lit'l tire devils in the yards!!! 😊 Maverick may find it fun!
You are a jack of all trades, it amazes me to see all the different tools you own. My husband is a bit like you, he can fix about anything and always has the necessary tools. The car looks great and now it’s very safe to drive. Happy Thanksgiving to you all. ❤
I'm going wow! You use the excavator like you would your hands. It's something to see you even shaking the roots of the tree to get the dirt out. Is there anything you don't know how to do? You are great thinking outside the box. Love it!
This part of life🙄 once you think your ahead life throws you a flat tire and tires aren't cheap. It's always something once you get going, that part of life i call an adventurous detour. Great video hi Evee and children😊
Life happens and you just have to deal with it. You don't need to explain all of this to us but I do thank you for sharing so some will understand that we only see a very small part of how you spend your day. Work on those projects that we have become so fond of watching sometimes has to be set aside while you take care of more urgent, necessary things. You are still faithful to show us what you are doing and that is much appreciated. Wishing you all a very happy Thanksgiving.
This old grandma felt like waltzing while you were pulling stumps. I loved that relaxing music. That excavator makes me happy! You kids have a great day and a Happy Thanksgiving. I’m thankful for you and these videos. ❤
Wow, I totally relate to your issues. Yesterday I had 2 flats tires that could not be repaired. I had to purchase two new tires. My front breaks and 2 new rotors required immediate repair. Plus a leak in a valve under the sink caused $535 emergency plumbing repair. All this in one week. Crazy how unexpected emergency repairs can change what was planned.
You just amaze me, I hate that you feel obligated to justify everything that you do. There is no doubt you can do a lot more than anyone else I know. Keep working away at your pace, there is no race to the finish. Love your channel.
Welcome to the real world. That is the way my life is going too. There are things I want to do but there are things I have to do first. And they all cost money. I just enjoy your videos so whatever you put in them is just fine. Thanks.
I am in the process of finishing the plumbing on a new sink and faucet that was just installed yesterday but I bought the sink about 7 years ago and the faucet 5 years ago. Both on sale, style I wanted and still do, great prices, plenty of room in an extra bedroom for storage. Frugality, foresight and patience are good characteristics for those on a well water budget like myself! 😉😊👍👌
Not a fun unexpected expense to have . But must feel good to know you’ve now got new brakes and tires keeping you all super safe on the road . Eevvee always seems to be keeping an eye on you in the background. ( making sure you are safe I’m guessing ) You both are a great team.
Love your videos and look forward to seeing all your progress ! Happy Thanksgiving ! Many blessings ! I’ve watch your for a long time now ! You all are awesome and your children are growing up fast and are beautiful ! Thank you for letting us into your life !
We are with you please understand there is no pressure for you to do anything we are privileged to share your your life with you so try to relax and ignore all the bad comments we are amazed at all your achievements and will continue to share your ups and downs just as much as we know that’s how life is I’ve been watching you since you helped bobble head and as a 77 year old widow I can only thank you so much for sharing your life with us blessings and love from Scotland Uk 🏴👍🎉💐👏😘

You don't need to apologize for life getting in the way of your plans. We all know how that is. I am so jealous that you can do anything you want yourself...it saves so much money. I enjoyed watching your tire job...I never knew what rotors and pads were before. How do you know how to do all this stuff? Nice work....love the music your chose.
Simply Splendid rendition of the "Removal of the Trees" ballet! Bravo!👏👏👏😉🤩😂...It always feels so good to get those needed repairs done on your car! see ya soon.
@diyfferent Even though I don't have a lot, I've worked hard for what I have, and if I have a little extra, I would rather give it to someone who has a heart like mine. I remember what you said about your investment property, and if I had the means, I would have made a home for that reason too. Because I have been in that type of situation more than once, and I'm blessed enough now, that I don't have to worry about it ever happening again. Besides, I consider ya'll as part of my family, and I truly love and care about ya'll, so of course, I'm going to help when I can. 🥰🤗❤
Isn’t that the way it always goes!!! I’ve been caving for a new computer tower for 2 years now, but something else ALWAYS comes up & I have to use it for something else. But thankful to the Lord that I have it even though I have to wait again. lol. You are so handy Doug. You save thousands of dollars my doing all that stuff yourself. I think you will feel so much safer now when you drive your car. I wish you, Eevee, Belle and Mavrick a very Blessed Thanksgiving.
I have had some similar life experiences this month. A surprise set of new tires also, and also a couple of car repairs. Life happens! Love your channel no matter what.
My physical fitness program consists of watching you work. Thank You. I have lost 2 pounds over 8 years. I am very proud of myself and you should be too. Again Thank You.
Those rotor screws will strip every time if you use a regular screwdriver. What you need is an impact screwdriver. They're $9 at harbor freight. You whack it with a hammer and the screw comes loose. Great video!
I think it was really wise to replace all the tires at the same time, especially since all 4 of the old tires were different brands. I appreciate how well you take care of your belongings. Being a good steward is not so common anymore.
I'm paying ours soon. They mailed out late because of property reevaluations across our county. Of course they went up like everything else has and they gave everybody until Christmas day to pay, SMH.
I completely empathize about the flat tire. I had to do similar to my truck a few months ago. I left early one morning while it was still dark and didn't realize one tire was flat. It shredded immediately after pulling on the road. I stopped at the next pull off about a quarter of a mile, but it was too late. Went back and found out that my spare was rusted through in places on the rim. Only had a bottle jack, so I had to dig a hole underneath so it could sit under the back axle to lift enough, take the tire off and take it using another vehicle to get a new tire put on. Once I got it back on, I then drove back to get three more new tires and a new rim/spare. Just like you said, one of those unexpected and sudden expenses.
I'd prefer an excavator over a jack. You can deal with both tires at a time with just one lift! Looks like a great tool to use if you need to pull out the transmission if you needed to.
Times are hard I’m finding as a toddler’s grandma, plus I’m hearing it often. Kudos to you and your family, to all you do, and thank you so much for sharing your journey and expertise! I’m hopeful to fix up my mortgage-free humble abode, and your videos are a huge help.
A boy and his toy! I love watching you use the excavator. It reminds me of when my husband and I were just starting out. We had a tractor with all the attachments. It made life so much easier and it was more fun too. 🤭
Y’all are very smart to get new tires 👍 and replace the brakes ! You are amazing with the amount of things you do get done, and I totally appreciate that you have things come up, life happens ! Kudos to you 👏👏👏
Excellent work and tree shaking too! We all have those taxes to pay and those extra $500 bills to pay. I tutor at age 68 just to cover the bills, but I remember my grandfather working to age 70 and my father milled logs for my sister's barn at age 79. So we are right there along side you with delays and raising capital. I loved the video!

Completely agree!
I agree 100% with great grandma, keep up the good work guys😁😁👍👍
Yes ma’am very well said
100% ❤
Life is messy sometimes. Whoever is hassling you about unfinished projects needs to mind their own business. I enjoy your videos and appreciate all the work you do. ❤
Well now I need my own mini excavator because you are having way too much fun digging those trees out.

That can do anything! We all can if we put our minds to it!
You are a Jack of all trades, the money you save in labor is unreal.
Thanks!
Thank you for the gift :)

Not that you are locked in to use it every time. But it's fun!!
brilliant music while pulling the stumps and knocking tree down , also awesome getting your tyres done, little by little take it easy hugsx

At least a skidsteer. They are so helpful on a homestead. I had use of one on my last homestead. Saved thousands of hours of manual labor.
Take your time, Doug and Eevee, you don't have to explain to us 😊 you always accomplish a lot. Much love to everyone. Happy Thanksgiving 🦃 🤗❤️
I laughed when I seen you shaking all the dirt from the tree stumps but a great idea to fill up them holes.
