Is the Spalding TF-1000 series making a strong comeback? it might be after reviewing this Legacy basketball. #LOVE2HOOP #LIKE #COMMENT #SUBSCRIBE @love.2hoop on Instagram
The TFM 1000 late 90's to early 00"s is the best basketball ever. Anytime I was at a pick up game with that ball I knew I was going to have a good game.
Funny enough I HATED that basketball lol. I felt like it was so light that I couldn't quite get a feel for shooting or dribbling. I liked it because I could extend my range, but I was so used to the Wilson Jet indoor that I needed more weight.
Man I loved that ball. I actually still have one that’s in great condition and is playable. I pulled it up to the gym one day and the OG’s went crazy and wanted to play with it lol
@Erick Henderson appreciate the support my guy. I barely have enough time to film that's why I be having different setups. I film when I can and drop them as soon as I can. I never knew this was a niche for me until I started the vids honestly.
What's crazy is I actually have clips of me playing as I'm talking about it, but I chose not to use them because of the mic thing you talked about. I ran into issues with the mic I normally use so I went this route because I rather get the content out than worry about the audio and just get it right next time. I'll probably do a comparison between this and the Solution.
Man collecting basketballs is like a curse. At this point I have 3 spalding officials only one fully broken in. The Wilson official, NXT NCAA and the OLE evo. I think I’m good for life.
Got that ball and we used it for more than 2 years indoors. Everyone loves it even when it’s already smooth and worn out because it still plays well. Just sad that the valve got damaged and it’s already losing air. Very similar to the wilson solution which I got now. 🙂
Will you be doing a full review of the latest & newest TF-1000 Legacy? If you have any experience with it, what do you think of this model - good or bad? Also, how long does it normally take to fully break in an indoor only composite leather material ball like the TF-1000 Legacy, Wilson Evo etc? TIA!
I don't have the best hands, but this ball makes it much easier for me to catch those bullet passes. I found it was great for shooting/layups with my offhand as well.
Also Im a pretty big tech guy and you got the wrong mic for the job, dynamic mics like the shure sm7b are designed to be spoken into inches away and turning your gain up like that really adds noise. An at2020 would be a nice replacement and cheap if youre looking to step the audio game up, other than that keep them coming!
If its possible to do a review on the spalding zi/o excel then i recommend doing it becuase it has been a question wich one is better the wilson ncaa replica or the zi/o excel i would like to hear your opinion The difference between the spalding zi/o and the spalding zi/o excel is that the excel version has a softer feel
I've read a few comments about the Zi/o and of course even mention it in this video. I might get to that one, but let me sell a few of these basketballs, it's getting crazy over here 😂
@@Love2Hoop Yes. Seems like high quality indoor/outdoor balls are maybe out of stock everywhere or model names have changed or something. Having trouble finding a good one. Wasn't a huge Zi/O fan back in the day when it was the only choice.
If we're talking indoor play, I would go with the Spalding. But if we're going outside with it I would use the Encore, though it's meant for indoor and outdoor use.
I shot great with either this ball or the Precision version, forgot which one it was. I shoot decently with my Evolution (which got stolen from me over a week ago smh) but Spalding makes a damn good ball.
@@Love2Hoop Update: I bought the current version of the TF-1000 Legacy and I think it's better than the Evolution after only playing with it for an hour. I prefer the grip, deeper channels, and the firmness over my old Evolution. I shoot better with it for some reason too. Thanks for dropping this vid, it convinced me to grab this ball to replace my stolen one!
How about a review on the Spalding Tack Soft? I hear it's a nice soft, durable indoor/outdoor at a budget price. I actually picked one up because I was scared my BG3800 was fake, it was at a pretty low price point and I chickened out lol
I wanted to review the Excel TF-500 which is only $5 more but IMO is probably going to be better quality than the tack soft. The ZiO series is pretty nice too so that might be the move.
To be completely honest, I think this one might do better than the Evolution outside. It's made for indoor play but for it to be super grippy inside. That to me translates well to outdoor play at least for the beginning stages.
Looking at the 2.0 I like how the 1.0 looks with the yellow outline more. I can't quite make a comparison on that surface cover though. Looks a little like a Nike Elite Championship mixed with the older version of the TF1000 2K
My brothEd bought one last week and sent me a video of it. By the looks of it it’s similar to this OLDER Legacy basketball like the one in this video. It did look the like seams were a little smaller on the precision which IMO. Is better for shooting.
Usually on the basketball you'll find a sizing indicator. Here are the numbers to look for: Size 6 or 28.5 = Kids/women's size ball | Size 7 or 29.5 is men's size ball
It says it's best for only indoors. You could take it outdoors, but you're going to cut the life of the basketball in half the more you use it outside vs indoors.
Great question. I recently had an evolution, replica molten GL7 and NBA forge for sale. I have a few more, but stay up on my Mercari account - www.mercari.com/u/644726629/
I have the same ball and I love it. The only thing I hate is the black channels are so slippery, I mean they're like ice slippery. Idk if all the same, how about yours?
The channels aren't slippery, but all of the writing that's in Black is slippery. So the "Spalding" on the ball has no grip which makes no sense compared to the rest of the ball.
JFields I had to Google wtf an Xedge basketball even was 😂 Idk how many people are gonna be interested in a review in that ball if not a lot of people are looking to buy it. Especially an indoor/outdoor

I personally think it's harder to shoot with, but the dribbling is really subjective. If you need a basketball that's real grippy then this is the one you wanna go for, but that same reason makes it a little tricky to shoot with.

Literally the best ball ever. I should have stole one from my high school 😂

This is my nephews favorite basketball and he has dozens of different indoor balls.

Keep up with the informative vids bro.. i got a collection myself just dont have time to film... but this definitely my niche lol

I don't have the best hands, but this ball makes it much easier for me to catch those bullet passes. I found it was great for shooting/layups with my offhand as well.
This basketball definitely helps with control on catches and dribble moves. This one and the Nike Elite's do a great job with that.
nice!!

Thank you @Clappy imma look into that mic you're talking about 👍
Which basketball do you prefer? Nike elite all court 8p 2.0, nike elite championship 8p 2.0 or spalding tf-1000 legacy? Love your vids!

How do you feel about the new tf1000 precision?

I just started basketball this year how do u tell the size of the ball?
Usually on the basketball you'll find a sizing indicator. Here are the numbers to look for: Size 6 or 28.5 = Kids/women's size ball | Size 7 or 29.5 is men's size ball
I have a evolution and this one what should I use outdoor??
I would use this one outdoors. It'll hold up better outdoors than the evolution will.
Is the spalding precision tf1000 best for outdoors and indoors?
It says it's best for only indoors. You could take it outdoors, but you're going to cut the life of the basketball in half the more you use it outside vs indoors.
Baaammmm👍👍👍👍
Appreciate the support champ
Could you please review the Spalding zio?
Maaan ya'll keep putting me outside with these indoor/outdoor basketballs. Ya'll lucky the weather is barely getting better 👍 😂
can you rank these balls wilson evolution spalding tf1000 and nike elite championship 6.0?
*legacy
1. Nike Elite 2. Evolution 3. Spalding TF
Best indoor basketball and outdoor basketball? What ball?
Wilson NCAA Replica IMO
Thank you
Dude, that’s the Rawlings Franchise Pro Composite, never seen this ball in real life, ever.
YOu must be talking about the Rawlings Spider-man was holding 😂

@@Love2Hoop ok cool
Its good for shooting
Big time!!
Is it like evolution?
No if it’s close to anything it would be maybe a nicer Nike Elite All Court
Can I use it outside?
You could, but it'll cut the life of the ball in half.
Is it good for outdoors?
It would be good outdoors but not for long. It’s meant for indoors, so the initial plays it’ll be nice but it’ll get beat up quickly.
Better then the evolution?
Better is based on opinion. I think it has better grip than an evolution but it doesn’t shoot or bounce as well as the evolution.
@@Love2Hoop do you think you’ll be getting the new Spalding model m when I comes out?
Just bought this ball. I love the way it feels in my hands but it doesn't dribble well.
It’s got a strange dribble! It feels like an indoor but bounces like an outdoor
I have the same ball and I love it. The only thing I hate is the black channels are so slippery, I mean they're like ice slippery. Idk if all the same, how about yours?

Definitely feels lighter in comparison to other basketballs on the market, but I wouldn't say it's the lightest.
@@Love2Hoop yeah I’m used to the Wilson evolution so just a lil different
Is this as soft as the Wilson Evolution? Is it comparable to the Baden Elite or the Nike Elite championship?
Out of those 3 I'd say it's probably closest to the Nike Elite championship, but it feels more like a Solution.
