In my early days as a forex trader, I lost so much because I couldn't understand the concept of lot size. It was when I understood that the higher my lot size, the higher the risk I was taking that I started winning some trades.
In other words, lot size is the amount of risk you are ready to take per trade. This explanation is very simple and straight to the point.

Hey Raner, everyone talks in terms of lots and units and that is great, I get it but what type of balances or capital do you need in your account to trade at each level? No one ever discusses that. I would think it would be an obvious question but I guess not. For example, I trade micro lots because I am new at this. I can usually trade up to 4 micro lots with $100 in my account depending on the pair. However, what will it take in terms of capital to trade in standard lots?

This is confusing- because in one breath you said buyer will receive 100,000.00 units of AUD and in another you said he will receive 100,000 dollar worth of AUD. Please listen to the video again and clarify clarify: whether it is 100,000 units of AUD or 100,000 dollar worth of AUD the buyer will receive

100,000 units of a currency is 100,000 aud dollars but sometimes it’s different like with the jpy

how to set in forex windows xp mt4 account ?

I had 300€ in my account.
i traded in USDJPY pairs. i bought with open position of 108.543 and stop sell is 108.343. so i lost 20 pips. now how it is showing in my app in red color -1.59. so i dont understand how it calculated. and my question is when i opened my position with 0.001 lots so how much i actually trade out of my total balance? note: before trading i had 300€ as a balance

Depends on the currency pair
If u buy 100000 units of eur usd and and 1eur is equals to 1.5usd you will buy 100000 units of eur at 1.5×100000usd

No u can set the lots lower too
U can set it to
0.01 wich means u would be trading with 0.10cents per pip
Or u set it to 0.10 lots and u trade with 1.00 euro or dollar per pip
