Guys loved this review. Didn’t totally agree with everything. But how can everyone agree on everything? You nailed numero uno for me. Loved your respect for Ringo. Gotta be the most underrated drummer. Can anyone tell me how this guy didn’t compliment the GREATEST musical phenomenon of all time?........ You guys got me going through every album start to finish. The music score for my funeral will be all Beatles. Great review.
If you took just the Beatles' songs that were released as singles and not on any album, you'd still get one of the greatest rock 'n' roll bands of all time!
If you add the songs and albums by the Beatles as individuals put out after the break up the list is amazing, you cannot compare any other group who has had such an output of of quality from the members of one group.
My opinion 13. Yellow Submarine: Very few NEW songs are good in this album, but Hey Bulldog is excellent. 12. With The Beatles: Nothing really mindblowing, just some good songs, All My Loving is great tho. 11. Please Please Me: Very good, songs like I Saw Her Standing There, Please Please Me and Love Me Do are really "cute" and give me a good sensation. 10. Beatles For Sale: Really close to Please Please Me, but I like this album songs a little bit more, like No Reply, I'm a Loser and I'll Follow The Sun. 9. Let It Be: Great, but while you have songs like Let It Be or Across The Universe you also have songs like Maggie Mae or Dig It 8. Help! : Okay, now we start with the masterpieces. This album is great in so many ways, Help!, The Night Before, You've Got To Hide Your Love Away, I Need You, Ticket To Ride, You're Going To Lose That Girl, I've just seen a face and of course, one of the best Beatles songs, Yesterday. Oh Lord, amazing album. 7. A Hard Day's Night: The songs here are even better than Help! A Hard Day's Night, Tell Me Why, I Should Have Known Better, If I Fell, I'm Happy Just To Dance With You, Any Time At All, Can't Buy Me Love and the beautiful "And I Love Her". 6. Magical Mystery Tour: The most psychedelic Beatles album. Strawberry Fields Forever, I am The Walrus, All You Need Is Love and Penny Lane are masterpieces. The others are amazing too. 5. Rubber Soul: This is where The Beatles started to change. It's so amazing, you have the citar being played! Norwegian Wood, Nowhere Man, Girl, Drive My Car, If I Needed Someone, I'm looking through you, think for yourself and of course, In My Life, an emotional masterpiece. 4. Revolver: This album is inovative, is groundbreaking, is a masterpiece itself. I don't need to talk about the songs in here. 3. Abbey Road: Iconic album cover, George at his best, Ringo's best song, etc. Incredible! 2. Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band: most iconic album cover of all time, revolutionary, psychedelic, one of the first concept albums of all time, masterpiece. But what could be better than this? 1. The White Album: This album is a journey. The only double-album in The Beatles discography, country music, experimental, psychedelic, Blues, Rock, Hard Rock, Heavy Metal, Pop, Pop Rock, Acoustic Guitar only, etc. Have the best George Harrison song, the best closer to an album, oh my god! The Beatles at their finest.
I don't know what my number 1 is. That keeps changing. But good to see Beatles For Sale at least a few places higher than bottom. Very underrated album imo. Fantastic originals.
The Beatles are my favorite musical group. It is amazing that they recorded 13 albums in 7 and I/2 years, almost 2 albums a year. The singles, A-sides and B-sides. The films and the tours. The Beatles are at the top, everyone else looking up, amazed at what they see. Unparalleled and incomparable.
For me there are 3 bands that are in a league of their own, everyone else some distance behind. The Beatles, (of course) Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. :)
My top: 13:Yellow Submarine 12:Beatles for sale 11:With the beatles 10:Please please me 9:A hard day's night 8:Magical mystery tour 7:Help! 6:Rubber Soul 5:Let it be 4:The white album 3:Abbey road 2:Stg. pepper's lonley hearts club band 1:Revolver
@ragtag - I agree that Sergeant Pepper was their most influential album and it's a masterpiece, no doubt. However, I think that Abbey Road is better musically and has held up better over time. :)
"Rubber Soul" is my favorite Beatle album! This is album is very personal! Between my bad relationships and death of my german shepard! Every time I hear "In My Life " I think of my dog! Your the best Major I miss you buddy! Every time I hear " In My Life" it makes shed a tear for my dog! I bought this abum 50 years ago!
Thanks for sharing that memory and believe me we have lost dogs as well and totally understand the ongoing pain of that. Music can be so powerful as it takes us back to what we were going through at the time we were first listening to it. So awesome. Thanks for sharing and for watching!
I cannot in good faith rank them. Depending on the time of year and mood my favorites waiver. I even enjoy George Martin's compositions on Yellow Submarine. Being someone who saw them live in 1964 at the age of 9, asking for my favorites is like asking for my favorite child.
@@fredkruse9444 It was September, 1964 in Indianapolis. I could easily hear the band Cyrkle (Red Rubber Ball), but when The Beatles came on everyone erupted. You couldn't hear anything, plus my aunt put me on her shoulders just to see. Eventually they calmed down so I could hear most of the last 10 minutes.
Great job on the ranking!! Believe it or not, I would put "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" ahead of "Something" and "Here Comes the Sun". Thanks for taking the time to do the ranking. The Beatles - best band EVER!!
I totally agree Revolver is my favorite of all time. It seems to be a transitional period for The Beatles where they are experimenting more in the studio but still sound like a band unlike as you said The White Album and beyond. Not a bad song on there.
Hi My top 3 Beatles: 3.Abbey Road 2. Revolver 1. The Beatles aka The White Album. Beatles For Sale was the album that got me into The Beatles. In my rankibg it is somewhere around number7 or 8. But like you said in your video, they didn't make a bad album.
Your channel is, without a doubt, my favorite music review channel. I appreciate the research that goes into the albums, and your open-mindedness when it comes to the genre of music. I mean, you’ve gone from Disco to Pop to Rock to R&B. And that’s just from the Thriller album. Greatly appreciate the hard work and dedication to your channel. Everything is just quite wholesome and fun. 🤙
1. Revolver 2. Abbey road 3. Sgt pepper 4. Rubber soul 5. The white album 6. Magical mystery tour 7. Help 8. A hard days night 9. Let it be 10. Please please me 11. With the Beatles 12. Beatles for sale 13. Yellow submarine
Same top 4 Hard Days Night Help Magical Mystery Tour White Album Let It Be Same bottom 3 I think Hard Days Night is the first "great" Beatles album where they really set themselves apart. White album has some great cuts but is bloated and inconsistent. "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" is top 10 Beatle song all time though. "Let It Be" is still a great album, even at number 9 on my list.
the other thing, as i was around and in line at the store with each of the releases, is that they were so incredibly different with each album. it was astonishing the rapid change and growth they took us through and how far ahead they were from the rest of the great music coming out of the day. i mean lightyears, from a different universe.
Great list(s) guys.Like you said,we might quibble about some specific songs (personal taste),but for the most part I thought your choices were well thought out.Being an older fan (I was 10 when it all started), I am a little more enamored of the earlier stuff. It's a case of "you had to be there"....experiencing it while it was happening. The air was palpable with excitement here after I Want To Hold Your Hand first hit our radio stations in Dec,1963.I was not quite 11 when the film "A Hard Days Night" came to our theaters.Girls screamed in the theater!..It was insane! We looked forward to every new release with great anticipation & were never disappointed .It was a great time to grow up & feel alive thanks to The Beatles.Thank you guys for your love of the best music!
Revolver is easily my favorite album, there’s so much bangers, it starts and ends with the most perfect songs to do this and the experimental thing about it makes one of if not the most revolutionary album of all time, each song is so different from the other and that big diversity is so beautiful
Great list gentlemen! Incredibly difficult to rank such amazing pieces of art. Lightning in a bottle, the likes of which, we will never see again. Have a great week!
Crazy thing is if you make an album of the 14 best Beatles songs not on those 13 albums, then to the casual listener those 14 songs would be the best album of them all as they include a lot of the hits! From Me To You Thank You Girl She Loves You I Want To Hold Your Hand This Boy I Feel Fine Yes It Is We Can Work It Out Day Tripper Paperback Writer Rain Lady Madonna Hey Jude Don't Let Me Down What they achieved in such a short time can't really be described in words.
It is very good. Keep in mind if something rates low on the rankings it doesn't by any means imply it is bad. On the contrary on our individual album reviews they all rated high. Thanks for watching!
I love 'With the Beatles' because I think that, of all their albums, it most vividly shows the band as how they probably sounded when they were playing the Cavern Club and the Star Club. Tough yet melodic, and able to tackle any sort of music, from rock and pop to Motown soul, blues and even Broadway show tunes. I also feel that the album, as a whole, may possibly feature John at his all-time best as a lead singer. His voice is magnificent throughout.
It's so cool to see you two on this video. My son and I (and my other kids, sometimes) spend an evening picking out a Beatle album, sometimes vinyl sometimes remastered or remixed, and then talk about it. It's great to see another father/son bonding moment. Thank you for sharing.
My ranking and favorite tracks from the albums 12.Yellow Submarine(Yellow Submarine,All you need is love,It's all too much) 11.With the Beatles(All my loving,Money,Roll over Beethoven)/10.Beatles for Sale(No reply,I'm a loser,Eight days a week,Rock 'n' roll music) 9.A hard day's night(A hard day's night,Can't buy me love,And I love her) 8.Let it be(Let it be,I me mine,Get Back) 7.Rubber Soul(In my life,Michelle,Norwegian Wood) 6.Help!(Yesterday,Ticket to ride,Help!,You've got to hide your love away,The night before,Act Naturally,It's only love) 5.White Album(Happiness is a warm gun,Back in the U.S.S.R.,Ob-La-di Ob-La-da,While my guitar...,Revolution 1,Dear Prudence) 4.Revolver(I'm only sleeping,Got to get you into my life,Here there and everywhere,Eleanor Rigby,I want to tell you) 3.Magical Mistery Tour(Penny Lane,Strawberry Fields Forever,Hello goodbye,The fool on the hill) 2.Abbey Road(Here comes the sun,I want you,You never give me your money,The End,Something) 1.Sgt.Pepper(A day in the life,Getting better,Lucy in the sky with the diamonds) ♥️
13- Yellow Submarine 6 12- Beatles For Sale 6.5 11- With The Beatles 7 10- Let It Be 7.5 09- Please Please Me 8 08- A Hard Days Night 8 07- Help 8.5 06- Magical Mystery Tour 9.0 05- White Album 9.5 04- Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band 9.5 03- Abbey Road 10 02- Rubber Soul 10 01- Revolver 10
I can't imagine not loving Michelle. I think it's beautiful, and a roundly perfect production. Even the harmonies are exceptional and unique. Of course, I also prefer Paul to John, ultimately. For me: 1) Revolver 2) Rubber Soul 3) Sgt. Pepper 4) The White Album 5) Magical Mystery Tour 6) Help 7) Abbey Road 8) Beatles For Sale 9) Let It Be (Naked) 10) Please Please Me 11) A Hard Day's Night! 12) Yellow Submarine 13) With the Beatles
On my personal album playlists, I include "Day Tripper" and "We Can Work It Out" on Rubber Soul; I include "Rain" and "Paperback Writer" on Revolver; and I include "Strawberry Fields Forever" and "Penny Lane" on Sgt Pepper. The Beatles and George Martin initially meant to include "Strawberry Fields" and "Penny Lane" on the Pepper album, which happens to be my favorite Beatles record.
I was doubtful when these guys started this video. They looked too young to appreciate The Beatles. I was wrong. This is a fantastic review. I was born in 1957 so as a young kid I heard all these top singles when they were were played on the radio. These guys are spot on.
Thanks Royce we really appreciate that! We have spent probably literally a thousand hours on The Beatles over the past year. Between reviewing every album, research, and listening. It has been an unreal ride. No one will EVER come close to the quality they put out in only 7 1/2 years. Thanks again for watching!
Do you really think that by being old you will appreciate the Beatles more? I'm 14 years old and this is hands down the best band ever, every song is amazing, and you should stop having that backward thinking
You are exactly right Dennis! So little separates most of these albums it was very difficult to differentiate. But that is a great problem to have. Thanks for watching!
Great effort guys! Here's my top 4: 1 - Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 2 - Revolver 3 - Abbey Road 4 - Rubber Soul I don't really view Magical Mystery Tour or Yellow Submarine as legit Beatles albums. Anyone of their remaining albums, would be a greatest hits album for 99.99999% of every other musical act from the past 70 years.
1. Revolver 2. Abbey Road 3. Rubber Soul 4. Sgt. Pepper 5. The White Album 6. Magical Mystery Tour 7. A Hard Day’s Night 8. Help 9. Let It Be 10. Please Please Me 11. Beatles For Sale 12. With The Beatles 13. Yellow Submarine
I had the pleasure to see The Beatles live in Detroit in August of 1966. Like everyone says, trying to hear them was almost impossible. Those puny VOX amps couldn't drown out 15000 full throated screams. ( The PA systems in those days were pretty archaic. Hell, the drums weren't miked or amplified at all). They only played 10 or 11 songs and it was over with in about twenty minutes, but it ranks up there with the most influential 20 minutes of my existence. I have always considered myself extremely lucky to have lived on the planet the same time as Beatlemania. You had to be there to fully appreciate its raw power and joy.
Howard said trying to hear the Beatles with 15,000 fans surrounding, in Detroit in 1966. Try to imagine 70,000 fans in the Kingdome of Seattle in 1976, to hear Paul McCartney and Wings. It was the largest indoor concert in world history of that time.
Being 16 when the Beatles came, all their early albums, (63, 64, 65?) especially before Rubber Soul are my favorites, from and emotional point of view! Those first impressions stay with you the strongest and longest!
Exactly Vincent, that is the power of music! I (Shawn) can hear a song from the 80's and it takes right back to where I was at the time, Thanks for sharing and watching!
Great job guys, great comments. Can you imagine how we felt about these 50 years ago, it's like there's the Beatles and then there is the other stuff, and that's not knocking the other stuff.
It's like asking which which one of your kids is your favorite, I can't choose all I know is that She's Leaving Home and In My Life are two of the few pieces of music that can bring me to tears.
It kinda bugs me that "Michelle" gets so little respect. As a toddler the Beatles were probably the first band I could identify on the radio, and I liked their rocky, poppy numbers of the period (She Loves You etc). Michelle came out at about that time too, and it was practically the first time that this toddler understood that radio songs didn't all have to be rocky, poppy, - some could be beautiful! Over the years my taste has changed, "She Loves You" got demoted down the scale, but "Michelle" for me stays about the same. Sure the lyrics aren't great, but it's the smooth melody that gets me.
And that is the beauty of music, we all find things we love, either based on memories tied to the song or something else we are drawn to. Thanks for watching.
Michelle is currently the favorite pet song off of Rubber Soul that the internet community loves. If anything, it's over respected. Meanwhile, If I Needed Someone and Norwegian Wood have faded to the back of the line. It's just what happens with their songs because there are so many good ones. Maybe it's Paul sentimentality in this instance.
I was fortunate to have been at the impressionable ages of about 12 to 19 when the albums were being released. Each one was stunning and to actually experience the music as it was recorded and released "on the air," as it were was exhilarating. Happy listening.
Unpopular opinion: If the lads had retired in 1965, I don't think they'd be remembered as more than a bubblegum band. Yes, those first albums have a lot of energy and some brilliant songs, but the Beatles become great with Rubber Soul, maybe Help. So, if you ask me "the worst" for me would be those first four and Submarine, of course. So, my top 8: 8- Help 7-Rubber Soul 6- Let it be 5- Sgt. Pepper's (Blasphemy! I know) 4- Magical Mystery Tour 3- The White Album 2- Revolver 1- Abbey Road. Needless to say , from 5 to 1 I absolutely love, I just like one over the other by just a tad. Cheers
This is one of the toughest lists to do because most of these placings are interchangable: 13) Yellow Submarine 12) Beatles for Sale 11) With the Beatles 10) Magical Mystery Tour 9) Let It Be 8) The Beatles (White Album) 7) Please Please Me 6) A Hard Day's Night 5) Revolver 4) Rubber Soul 3) Help! 2) Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 1) Abbey Road
My favorite is The White album, due to the time in my life it was released. I was in junior high, attending a "prestigious" prep school, and instead of listening to my language tapes, I had the Beatles White album cranked in my headphones. I never got caught, but I wasn't at that private school for long. Happiness is a Warm Gun still moves me to this day. Cheers!
'Revolver' tends to be my favourite Beatles album as well. I feel it was much more of a full group project than say 'Sgt. Pepper's' was. 'Abbey Road' comes in second, 'Rubber Soul' third, the rest change from day to day with both 'A Hard Day's Night' & 'Help!" up there interchanging with 'Sgt. Pepper' for the top 5 or 6. 'Magical Mystery Tour' 7th, 'White Album' 8th, as for the last 4 proper albums, it's a toss up for the next 4 slots: "Please Please Me' ,'With the Beatles', 'Beatles For Sale' & 'Let it Be'. But for a period of only 6 or 7 years, the progression with the material is just astounding. 'Yellow Submarine' soundtrack my least favourite as well. The 4 songs are enjoyable enough ,but, it's not enough for a full album.
Michelle was awesome! Paul's bass solo. John and George's oohs seem to actually urge Paul on while the acoustic playing is fantastic. A soft and understated but yet unforgettable melody. This song, while with a trite lyric, is beautifully realized.
My Ranking (all U.K. versions): 1) Revolver (Rain and Paperback Writer replace Love You To and Yellow Submarine) 2) Rubber Soul (Day Tripper and We Can Work it Out replace What Goes On and Think For Yourself) 3) Help 4) Hard Day's Night 5) Beatles for Sale 6) White Album 7) Magical Mystery Tour 8) Sgt Pepper (Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane replace When I'm 64 and Fixing a Hole) 9) Abbey Road 10) Please Please Me 11) With the Beatles 12) Yellow Submarine 13) Let It Be
@@ReactionsToTheClassics Well one thing we both agree on is Revolver is #1. Imagine if Paperback Writer/Rain replaced Yellow Submarine and Love You To....would eliminate ALL doubt about #1.
This is an awesome challenge for you guys to make this video. I can only imagine how hard it must have been to research this project and go over the songs to present this worst to best Beatles albums ranking. I think you guys did a really great job in your ranking. I like the fact that you both reveal knowledge of the music here in your commentary. I like how you both explain in detail the reasons for your answers. Your ranking is pretty accurate. What makes it so interesting is that everybody has their favorites when it comes to Beatles albums. They were that great, the greatest band ever. My list might be something like this; Yellow Submarine Please Please Me With The Beatles Beatles For Sale A Hard Days Night Let It Be The White Album Help Sgt Pepper Magical Mystery Tour Abbey Road Rubber Soul Revolver I think I might like your ranking better, but this is how I see it at the moment. Like you said, it can be interchangeable between certain albums upon repeat listens.I enjoyed this video a lot. Again I'll say you guys always do a great job in your rankings
Thanks so much for the comment and sharing your ranking poet. It is an impossible task as there is no definitive evidence for what album is better, it truly is mood and any given day. As always we really appreciate the support!
For those of us who lived through those Beatlemania years, it's so much fun to listen to music fans.....such as yourselves.....who continue to this day to marvel at the recordings of the greatest pop/rock band ever. You two do such a terrific job with your channel and ought to be congratulated. It's always an interesting listen for me. The first Beatles' song I ever heard was "She Loves You" back in December of 1963 (as best as I can remember) and I was completely stunned by what I had just heard. Nothing so musically powerful had ever been heard on radio up to that point. Of course, to coin a cliche', the rest was history. My top three: 1. Revolver 2. Abbey Road 3. Sgt. Pepper.
For me, it was I Want to Hold Your Hand, in December 1963. It's the first Beatles song I remember hearing, and it was like NOTHING else we ever heard. Quickly reinforced by I Saw Her Standing There and She Loves You. The die was then cast.
My ranking 1. Revolver 2. Abbey road 3. Sgt Peppers 4. The white album 5. Rubber soul 6. Magical mystery tour 7. Help 8. A hard days night 9. Let It be 10. Beatles for sale 11. Please please me 12. With the Beatles 13. Yellow submarine My favorite song is Eleanor Rigby Great video
It's amazing how these rankings have changed, and how a Beatles albums has always been considered the best ever in all of pop music history. When I was younger, so much younger than today, Pepper was considered undisputably as the #1 album of all time, then Abbey Road replaced it, it seems, then in the 2000s Revolver took the crown, now I sense that the White Album is gaining. I personally have had for twenty years the White Album as #1. I know the criticism of the album is that it's bloated, that it should have been a single album. But I would ask, WHICH songs would you take off the White Album to make it a single album? Then it gets really hard (I'm not counting the song fragments like "Why Don't We Do It In the Road".)
Great run through. Really enjoyed feeling your love for these. I could nitpick ..am sure all fans could (and will!)..but my main track nitpick would be Rock n Roll Music ..for me one of THE great rock vocals (the exuberance of John's voice always makes me want to smile and dance).
Great commentary and analysis fellas. I’ve been listening to and been a huge fan of The Beatles for 59 years and learned some interesting info I never knew from your comments. My list: 1. Revolver - A game changer. Their collaborative peak and most innovative work. Changed pop/rock music forever. 2. Rubber Soul - A real departure from earlier songs/sounds. Acoustic guitar, mature themes, studio production. Great songs. 3. Abbey Road - Side 1 has some of the most influential Beatles songs. Side 2 is a masterpiece of combining songs fragments into a medley showing off The Beatles imaginative musical themes, instrumentation & final message to the world. 4. Help - Still putting out great rockers but also the showing the maturation of their song writing. The precursor to where they were going with Rubber Soul. 5. A Hard Days Night - First album of all original songs. Some of their strongest pop songs and well suited to their live performances. 6. Meet The Beatles - My introduction to The Beatles as it was their first album released in Canada where it was called Beatlemania! With The Beatles. One of their best early album openers in It Won’t Be Long and All My Loving the first song they played on their famous first Ed Sullivan show appearance which introduced 73 million people to the greatest band in musical history. 14 pretty solid songs, the same as the UK version where it was their second album which shared 9 of the 12 songs on the US Capital released version. 7. Let it Be - Some great songs mixed with some ok songs. I like the Phil Spector “wall of sound” influence so enough said. 8. Sgt Pepper - Very innovative album theme, great album cover, some amazing iconic songs but a bit overrated in album rankings IMO. 9. A Magical Mystery Tour - Maybe a bit unfocused but some great psychedelic sounds. First post Brian Epstein album released. Recorded at the same time as filming for the movie of the same name which was a bit too far out there for me. 10. The Beatles (White Album). Some classic and highly regarded Beatles songs but would have been a better single album. Too many weak songs that were more representative of their individual directions than Beatles collaboration. Hugely popular album amongst younger Beatles fans who probably don’t like their early music. 11. Beatles for Sale released as Beatles 65 in North America. Similar albums but my comments refer to Beatles for sale. I love Side One. Enough said. 12. Please Please Me released as Twist and Shout by Capital Records in Canada. Too many cover songs for me but some great early Beatles rockers. 13. Yellow Submarine - Don’t like the song and the second side of the album is a George Martin creation for the movie of the same name. I don’t really think of it as a Beatles album. You can see from my list that I favour the middle Beatles (late 1964 thru 1966) period when I believe they were at their collaborative peak. This was a challenging list to do in some ways but I don’t think I could do a top 50 list of their songs. Too many great ones to choose from.
@@ReactionsToTheClassics They’re basically a touchstone for my life as they are for a lot of older Beatles fans and maybe younger ones as well. That is one thing that amazes me. How many new fans, often pre-teen comment about their love for the Beatles. I can’t imagine growing up in the 60’s and feeling the same way about music my grandparents listened to in 1915. Yet, 52 years after they last made music together, they are still hugely relevant. It was fun thinking about the albums and ranking them. As I said, I don’t how you guys made a top 100 song list. You showed great dedication to their music and your subscribers.
Great points and I can't think of any musical artists who has this kind of staying power, especially as you pointed out with very young people, that is the difference and why they will still be famous and loved long after we are gone.
13 Let It Be 12 With The Beatles 11 Beatles For Sale 10 The White Album 9 Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 8 Revolver 7 A Hard Day's Night 6 Abbey Road 5 Please, Please Me 4 Help! 3 Magical Mystery Tour 2 Rubber Soul 1 Yellow Submarine (The Most Underrated)
I agree that the top four Beatles albums are tough to rank because on any given day they can switch depending on your mood! Today my top four are: 1. Revolver 2. Sgt Pepper's 3. Rubber Soul 4. Abbey Road Tomorrow, number 3 & 4 could switch places! And there are so many other amazing songs that aren't even on those albums! Great job ranking them but certainly not an easy one!
@@ReactionsToTheClassics I didn't mean to come across in a bad way. I just have a hard time seeing how it's better then 'A/R: You are of course entitled to your opinion, and I respect that.
You are probably just like me, you like pop rock and Abbey Road is pop rocks magnum opus. But the most Beatles Beatle album is Revolver. Its the better album but Abbey Road has better songs
@@zumptt My intent was never to question anybody's choice of GREATEST Beatles album, my question was sincere... What is BETTER about 'Revolver' compared to 'Abbey Road'?
@steveschaff4620 Revolver is more like an album than Abbey Road is. Abbey Road is just a great collection of songs. The music is the music... it's 10/10 on both, but Abbey Road has holes in it... Revolver is buttetproof.
Beatles have been my favorite band nearly my entire life. I'm shocked how much I agreed with your opinions, love the list, love the Beatles! I'm gonna listen to em right now, well done gents
Thanks Mark we took this and our whole run through their albums very seriously. Greatest band of all-time and there no second place. We appreciate you watching!
FANTASTIC... however: all their albums are Number One... (from a big fan who did see The Beatles, live in concert, in 1964 and in 1965 and in 1966... we could see them but we couldn't hear them, cuz of all the screaming...)
The thing about the Beatles was their AMAZING ENERGY and their flair for novelty, along with their great musicianship. Early songs, like "I saw Her Standing There", "I Wanna Hold your Hand", and "Can't Buy Me Love", just came at you like thunderbolts, explosions of energy ! Some of their "Black" cover songs also had this affect, such as "Roll Over Beethoven".They incorporated Little Richard's energy, with more powerful musical backing. Elvis bowled over youthful white audiences with his great energy applied to "Black" songs, but the Beatles multiplied this by four. Also, the youth at the time, raised in peace and affluence, was just itching for something new and exciting and the Beatles, with their quirkiness, originality and BIG SOUND filled the need perfectly and began a Creative Renaissance.
How did this happen? Four guys from the same city, and a dark, tough city, meet and change the world both musically and culturally. And think how close this came to never happening. imagine if Brian Epstein never visited the Cavern, equally imagine if prior to that the young man did not come into His record store asking if there was a copy of the first Beatles recording with Tony Sheridan My Bonnie. imagine if Decca had accepted their contract and they never met George Martin. Imagine if George Martin for whatever reason decided not to meet with them. Imagine if Pete Best remained in the band on the rest of the group's insistence. imagine all of these things and you see how close this life came to never happening. I have to say that my favorite is With the Beatles, because it is the first music of theirs I ever heard as a kid actually the American version Meet The Beatles and it got better and better and better afterwards but for both Musical and sentimentality reasons I place it as my favorite because if I had never heard it I may not have been as big a fan as I am now. great job as usual guys!
the incredible thing about this band is that this list does, and aways will, change - the quality of songs is stunning and to think these albums don't contain many of their #1 singles AND that all this material is really over about a 7 year period - WHAT?!?! i do think their early albums are too easily overlooked in comparison with the later work. i would put A Hard Days Night with their best - but who's to quibble?
Good video as always. My ranking (subject to change): 1. Abbey Road. Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End is my all time favorite. This album is pretty much perfection for me. Also its sound would point the way to the sound of rock in the 70s.) 2. Revolver. Agree with they're all being equal on this one, even George got 3 songs instead of the 2 per disc. 3. Sgt. Pepper. Ranked so highly for so long for a reason. 4. Rubber Soul. So many beautiful songs on here, for most other bands it would be their best, and Day Tripper and We can Work it Out aren't even on it. 5. The White Album I could imagine cutting off a few songs, but I still couldn't limit it to 1 vinyl disc. Having Hey Jude instead of Revolution 9 would have pushed this album higher up. Also Blackbird is fantastic, come at me :) --------This middle section is actually the toughest for me to rank------ 6. Help! I really do love this album. Really feels unfair to put it out of the top 5, once again a disc that would be a lot of other best work. Also a near perfect hybrid/bridge of the earlier Beatles to the later Beatles. 7.Magical Mystery Tour. A Great collection of songs that still feels like it's an album even though side 2 is a collection of singles. Of course they were all recorded around 67 so it would make sense they go together. 8. Let It Be. Even with Spector's overproduction, the short snippets of songs, and the band in turmoil, too many good songs still on here to ignore. 9. A Hard Days Night. The Beatles best early record. Also when they started to play more acoustic instruments on the songs. Lots of fantastic tracks here. Really tempted to rank this album a couple of spots higher. Also And I Love Her is exquisite. -------------------End of Middle Section-------------------------- 10. Beatles for Sale. An underrated album in my opinion, but overall still a bit of a let down after A Hard Days Night. Definitely shows some growth in the songwriting department, and I like a lot of the covers. 11. Please Please Me. A great debut album recorded basically live, and that raw energy is present. 12. With The Beatles. While still good I don't feel the energy as much on this one. All My Loving is great and most of the covers are good. This album could have used the singles on it, like Please Please Me had. 13. Yellow Submarine. I really almost don't count this as an album, more like an EP. Still Hey Bulldog is fantastic and I like It's All Too Much quite a bit too. Even All Together Now is fun at the end of the Yellow Submarine movie where the live action Beatles go out SINGING!
@@ReactionsToTheClassics Yeah I hadn't initially meant to write something so lengthy when I started, lol. But I love to talk about The Beatles! Once again I love your videos!
Surprised that you singled out Mustard and Pam as less good on Abbey Road without mentioning Maxwell's Silver Hammer, which is, to be charitable, Not Very Good. I confess I did adore it when it first came out, but in my defence, I was 11 at the time. But excellent broadcast, thanks.
Not only is Abbey Road my favorite Beatles album but my favorite by any artist. I would have Revolver second. It is George's guitar on Abbey Road that makes the difference.
For me, it's 1. Revolver; 2. Abbey Road; 3. Rubber Soul; 4. The Beatles; 5/6. Sergeant Pepper's and A Hard Day's Night (tie). I don't feel strongly about the order of the rest. I only heard all the Beatles albums in 1981, because that's when I finally had enough money to buy them. All except Revolver-it wasn't at any store I could find. I'd read THE BEATLES: AN ILLUSTRATED RECORD, by Roy Carr and Tony Tyler, and their assessment of Revolver was similar to yours. I burned with impatience to acquire it, and when I finally did, my stellar expectations were surpassed by some distance. It's the most satisfying album buying experience I've ever had. Thanks for sharing the love, guys! (P. S. Carr and Tyler thought With the Beatles was top 5!)
13 Yellow Submarine 12 Beatles For Sale 11 With The Beatles 10 Let It Be 09 Magical Myster y Tour 08 Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band 07 Please Please Me 06 A Hard Days Night 05 The Beatles/The White Album 04 Abbey Road 03 Revolver 02 Help! 01 Rubber Soul
good list except magical mystery tour yikes! that deserves to be last or 2nd to last... terrible. the beatles for sale album is much better and is better than with the beatles. other than that, it would be hard to place them because the rest are all so good.
What a great list guys....I might flip your #1 and 2....but that really depends on the day. Awesome stuff and yes....catching up on some older stuff on the channel....again
I’m digging this - super entertaining editing and presentation. Don’t pay attention to any elitist clowns hating on this video just because they have differing opinions to a subjective list. Keep up the good work 👍 My ranking: 1. White Album 2. Abbey Road 3. Revolver 4. Magical Mystery Tour 5. Sgt. Pepper 6. Rubber Soul 7. A Hard Day’s Night 8. Let it Be 9. With the Beatles 10. Help! 11. I agree with you on #13 and the top 2! I mean, you can't go wrong anyways because everybody has different taste, but I'm happy with those choices you picked too.
1. Revolver 2. Abbey Road 3. Rubber Soul 4. White Album 5. Sgt Pepper 6. Magical Mystery Tour 7. Help 8. Hard Day’s Night 9. Please Please Me 10. Let It Be 11. Beatles For Sale 12. There are 8 parts and would be very interested in your reviews.
1. A Hard Day’s Night 2. The Beatles (white) 3. Revolver 4. With the Beatles 5. Rubber Soul 6. Help! 7. Please Please Me 8. Sgt Pepper 9. Abbey Road 10. Beatles for Sale 11. Magical Mystery Tour 12. Let It Be 13. Yellow Submarine

And Modern Times which is his modern day Blonde on Blonde, Dylan will always be the number one, without him the Beatles would NEVER had evolved into the great band in which they did.
I don't know if 'best' is the right word, but I hear you. For me, the songs that still get me really excited ARE the pre-66 ones. They were a happy band then, and the difference they brought to standard pop music was incredible. I remember, before I'd ever heard of them or knew their name, listening to the radio one night, and suddenly on came Please Please Me. I was so startled, I grabbed the radio and ran into my sister's room to get her to listen too. That sound was so raw and so confident, it just cut through the music that was popular at the time ...Beach Boys, all the Bobbys, etc. It was like a bucket of cool water poured on my head on a hot day. Wow. Who ARE these guys? I couldn't get enough of that stuff. Later on, they became more artistic and studio-based, and produced some incredibly fine work, which I also loved. But that energy, that raw, cheery, easy-as-falling-off-a-log chutzpah was gone. I can't blame them. They burnt out a bit and had to step back from performance to creation, and produced some of the best music ever. But I still personally love the pre-67 stuff best.

They were at their peak playing as a band
The Best Beatles Album is ..... The one you're listening to at the time!
Not a bad perspective at all James! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for Posting! @@ReactionsToTheClassics
Well said!
That my friend is a correct answer
no it’s abbey road
This list should be called Least Favorite to Favorite. The Beatles do not have an album that is the worst.
Yes that is a decent point and obviously if you watched you saw we have an affinity for each album.
I disagree... Yellow Submarine is definitely crap!
All the Beatles records are the Best ( including Pete ) ,from Decca tapes to abbey Road, and from In spite of all the danger to you know my name !
Likewise there should not be a "Best" album either, because none of their albums feature him.
@@stupendous1068 Pete Best was ,is, and always be one of the Beatles, like the other members, Stuart, John ,Paul,George, Ringo
There will never be another band that is as influential as The Beatles
Not even close P A! Thanks for watching!
Maybe if humans last another 20,000 something years then maybe....
Still waiting for half life?
If you took just the Beatles' songs that were released as singles and not on any album, you'd still get one of the greatest rock 'n' roll bands of all time!
Totally agree! Thanks for watching!
If you add the songs and albums by the Beatles as individuals put out after the break up the list is amazing, you cannot compare any other group who has had such an output of of quality from the members of one group.
Of course, the singles are the ones that became their hits.
My opinion
9. Let It Be: Great, but while you have songs like Let It Be or Across The Universe you also have songs like Maggie Mae or Dig It
Thanks for taking the time to leave this comment and your thoughts, always interesting to see what others think!
@Burley Pelletier I am the walrus.
I don't know what my number 1 is. That keeps changing. But good to see Beatles For Sale at least a few places higher than bottom. Very underrated album imo. Fantastic originals.
Wait you think “good night” is a better album closer than “a day in the life” among others 😳 ?
The Beatles are my favorite musical group. It is amazing that they recorded 13 albums in 7 and I/2 years, almost 2 albums a year. The singles, A-sides and B-sides. The films and the tours. The Beatles are at the top, everyone else looking up, amazed at what they see. Unparalleled and incomparable.
Agree on every point you make Keith! They are the best ever and no one is even close! Thanks for watching!
And still to this day. I really cant see any other music influence in history topping them ever
For me there are 3 bands that are in a league of their own, everyone else some distance behind. The Beatles, (of course) Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd. :)
The greatest catalog of music ever committed the record.
YESSSSS!!!!
YESSSSS!!!!
I mean the first few Beatles albums aren’t amazing, although that is my opinion and you can believe whatever you want.
Also Wild Honey Pie is a masterpiece. (This is a joke)
idk i disagree w this i feel like many other artists have a better catalogue but to each their own
My top:
13:Yellow Submarine
12:Beatles for sale
11:With the beatles
10:Please please me
9:A hard day's night
8:Magical mystery tour
7:Help!
6:Rubber Soul
5:Let it be
4:The white album
3:Abbey road
2:Stg. pepper's lonley hearts club band
1:Revolver
Great list. Thanks!
When you really listen closely to Abbey Road it is a truly amazing record. Its number 1 for me.
No argument that it is great. Thanks for watching Max!
Number 1 for me too! :)
Yes it's there last album was better than the The White album I wish Abbey Road was a double album too!
Abbey Road and the White Album are amazing in their own rights, but Sgt. Peppers was so revolutionary that it just edges as my top album
My uncle also had a german shepard named Major.
In my life is the first song I ever heard from the beatles and it got me hooked up to the beatles but revolver is still better
I cannot in good faith rank them. Depending on the time of year and mood my favorites waiver. I even enjoy George Martin's compositions on Yellow Submarine. Being someone who saw them live in 1964 at the age of 9, asking for my favorites is like asking for my favorite child.
So true. (Where did you see them? How much could you hear?)
Thanks for sharing and for watching Robert!
That's so awesome Robert. You need to share that story with everyone. You saw the Beatles live and in concert...a rare thing these days.
Totally agree !!!
Great job on the ranking!! Believe it or not, I would put "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" ahead of "Something" and "Here Comes the Sun".
Thanks for taking the time to do the ranking. The Beatles - best band EVER!!
We did as well on our George Harrison songs rankings. Thanks for watching Jim!!!
I love If I needed someone and Its all too much BIG TIME
I've always said that: Harrison's best song is while my guitar gently weeps, hands down.
I totally agree Revolver is my favorite of all time. It seems to be a transitional period for The Beatles where they are experimenting more in the studio but still sound like a band unlike as you said The White Album and beyond. Not a bad song on there.
Thanks for watching jason we appreciate it!
Hi
My top 3 Beatles:
3.Abbey Road
2. Revolver
1. The Beatles aka The White Album.
Beatles For Sale was the album that got me into The Beatles. In my rankibg it is somewhere around number7 or 8.
But like you said in your video, they didn't make a bad album.
Thanks for sharing your list, watching, and your continued support Pe Ke it is much appreciated!
#1 REVOLVER
#2 SGT PEPPER
#3 RUBBER SOUL
#4 THE WHITE ALBUM
#5 A HARD DAYS NIGHT
Your channel is, without a doubt, my favorite music review channel. I appreciate the research that goes into the albums, and your open-mindedness when it comes to the genre of music. I mean, you’ve gone from Disco to Pop to Rock to R&B. And that’s just from the Thriller album.
Greatly appreciate the hard work and dedication to your channel. Everything is just quite wholesome and fun. 🤙
As always we appreciate you Iancredible!!!
1. Revolver
2. Abbey road
3. Sgt pepper
4. Rubber soul
5. The white album
6. Magical mystery tour
7. Help
8. A hard days night
9. Let it be
10. Please please me
11. With the Beatles
12. Beatles for sale
13. Yellow submarine
Great list! Thanks for sharing and watching Martin!
I'm sorry all y'all are too high on Revolver. like what?
@Michael H. yeah sorry nope brother
Same top 4
Hard Days Night
Help
Magical Mystery Tour
White Album
Let It Be
Same bottom 3
I think Hard Days Night is the first "great" Beatles album where they really set themselves apart.
As always appreciate your insightful comments. Thanks Bruce!
Jealous Danny as it has been unreal going through them now can't imagine doing it in live time. Thanks for sharing and watching!
I knew you guys were going to pick Revolver as number one, I agree.
Thanks Tony!
@Nicefisher Yes, I agree.
Revolver is easily my favorite album, there’s so much bangers, it starts and ends with the most perfect songs to do this and the experimental thing about it makes one of if not the most revolutionary album of all time, each song is so different from the other and that big diversity is so beautiful
No argument here! My (Shawn) #1 album of all-time! Thanks for watching!
Great list gentlemen! Incredibly difficult to rank such amazing pieces of art. Lightning in a bottle, the likes of which, we will never see again. Have a great week!
It was incredibly difficult! As always thanks for the kind words and support Keith. Have a blessed week my friend!
Crazy thing is if you make an album of the 14 best Beatles songs not on those 13 albums, then to the casual listener those 14 songs would be the best album of them all as they include a lot of the hits!
From Me To You
Thank You Girl
She Loves You
I Want To Hold Your Hand
This Boy
I Feel Fine
Yes It Is
We Can Work It Out
Day Tripper
Paperback Writer
Rain
Lady Madonna
Hey Jude
Don't Let Me Down
What they achieved in such a short time can't really be described in words.
Fantastic point. Thanks!
with the Beatles is an underrated album. it vividly shows the characteristic of the Beatles in which they separate their singles and albums
It is very good. Keep in mind if something rates low on the rankings it doesn't by any means imply it is bad. On the contrary on our individual album reviews they all rated high. Thanks for watching!
With is a way better than debut. Rough, tough, uncompromising.
@@marguskiis7711 It even has a much fuller sound than the debut.
@@robertbykowski1398 Fantastic point Robert!
It's so cool to see you two on this video. My son and I (and my other kids, sometimes) spend an evening picking out a Beatle album, sometimes vinyl sometimes remastered or remixed, and then talk about it. It's great to see another father/son bonding moment. Thank you for sharing.
That is an awesome idea Jacob. Thanks for sharing and watching!

If those were truly on those albums can you imagine!! Thanks David!
This cannot have been an easy task from a decision perspective, but certainly pure joy from a listening perspective. Well done!
You are exactly right Dennis! So little separates most of these albums it was very difficult to differentiate. But that is a great problem to have. Thanks for watching!
Great effort guys!
Here's my top 4:
1 - Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
2 - Revolver
3 - Abbey Road
4 - Rubber Soul
I don't really view Magical Mystery Tour or Yellow Submarine as legit Beatles albums. Anyone of their remaining albums, would be a greatest hits album for 99.99999% of every other musical act from the past 70 years.
Great list thanks for sharing and watching!
How is magical mystery tour mot a legit beatles album? From top to bottom it might be one of there best.

2. Abbey Road
3. Rubber Soul
4. Sgt. Pepper
5. The White Album
6. Magical Mystery Tour
7. A Hard Day’s Night
8. Help

11. Beatles For Sale
12. With The Beatles
13. Yellow Submarine
Great list Noah, thanks for sharing!
Oh wow thanks for sharing that had to be unreal whether you could hear or not! Thanks for watching Howard!!
Agree number 1 is revolver . Such a clever title as well. It is believing.
Thanks for watching Jim!
There's nothing, The Beatles just started like you're typical 60's band and just straight up God band evolution in like 3 years.
There progression and growth and innovation will never be matched!
First channel I see to respond to most of their comments, bravo !
Thanks we try to respond to all of them. If you take the time to watch and leave one then the least we can do is answer. Thanks for watching!
Great job guys, great comments. Can you imagine how we felt about these 50 years ago, it's like there's the Beatles and then there is the other stuff, and that's not knocking the other stuff.
It had to be unreal back then because it is unreal now!!! The best and their is no contender! Thanks Bob!
It's like asking which which one of your kids is your favorite, I can't choose all I know is that She's Leaving Home and In My Life are two of the few pieces of music that can bring me to tears.
We LOVE both of those songs Robert! And yes so difficult to choose. Thanks for watching!
And Michelle won the Grammy that year!
Loved your comment, Man. Greetings from Mexico.
Joe Permenter, I love Paul's sentimentality in Michelle.
I was fortunate to have been at the impressionable ages of about 12 to 19 when the albums were being released. Each one was stunning and to actually experience the music as it was recorded and released "on the air," as it were was exhilarating. Happy listening.
That had to be a fantastic experience! Thanks for watching!
So, my top 8:
8- Help
7-Rubber Soul
6- Let it be
5- Sgt. Pepper's (Blasphemy! I know)
4- Magical Mystery Tour
3- The White Album
2- Revolver
1- Abbey Road.
Needless to say , from 5 to 1 I absolutely love, I just like one over the other by just a tad. Cheers
Thanks for sharing Betan and hope you are well!
This is one of the toughest lists to do because most of these placings are interchangable:
13) Yellow Submarine
12) Beatles for Sale
11) With the Beatles
10) Magical Mystery Tour
9) Let It Be
8) The Beatles (White Album)
7) Please Please Me
6) A Hard Day's Night
5) Revolver
4) Rubber Soul
3) Help!
2) Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
1) Abbey Road
Nice list and yes so tough to rank!!!
Honestly love Honey Don’t. George kills it in the lead guitar and the band just sounds so instrumentally cohesive in it.
Beauty of music and the Beatles is that there is something for everyone!
Cheers!
Great story Thomas! Thanks for sharing and watching!
Thanks for sharing and watching Mark!
Michelle was awesome! Paul's bass solo. John and George's oohs seem to actually urge Paul on while the acoustic playing is fantastic. A soft and understated but yet unforgettable melody. This song, while with a trite lyric, is beautifully realized.
Beauty of opinon
"Hey Bulldog" is my favorite song!
Thanks for watching John!
Hey Bulldog is a JAM. It sounds so unbelievable in remastered mono, it's.....all too much....(sorry)
Loved the one Beatle side of Yellow Submarine. It's All too Much.
Alice Cooper does an awesome cover of "Hey Bulldog". Steve Vai plays guitar on it as well. Check it out!!
@@jimroscovius No he didn't! George Harrison the John Lennon play the guitar on it stupid!
My Ranking (all U.K. versions):
1) Revolver (Rain and Paperback Writer replace Love You To and Yellow Submarine)
2) Rubber Soul (Day Tripper and We Can Work it Out replace What Goes On and Think For Yourself)
3) Help
4) Hard Day's Night
5) Beatles for Sale
6) White Album
7) Magical Mystery Tour
8) Sgt Pepper (Strawberry Fields and Penny Lane replace When I'm 64 and Fixing a Hole)
9) Abbey Road
10) Please Please Me
11) With the Beatles
12) Yellow Submarine
13) Let It Be
Great list, i disagree with some of it but of course that is the beauty of how great their catalogue is. Thanks for sharing!
@@ReactionsToTheClassics Well one thing we both agree on is Revolver is #1. Imagine if Paperback Writer/Rain replaced Yellow Submarine and Love You To....would eliminate ALL doubt about #1.
This is an awesome challenge for you guys to make this video. I can only imagine how hard it must have been to research this project and go over the songs to present this worst to best Beatles albums ranking. I think you guys did a really great job in your ranking. I like the fact that you both reveal knowledge of the music here in your commentary. I like how you both explain in detail the reasons for your answers. Your ranking is pretty accurate. What makes it so interesting is that everybody has their favorites when it comes to Beatles albums. They were that great, the greatest band ever. My list might be something like this;
Yellow Submarine
Please Please Me
With The Beatles
Beatles For Sale
A Hard Days Night
Let It Be
The White Album
Help
Sgt Pepper
Magical Mystery Tour
Abbey Road
Rubber Soul
Revolver
I think I might like your ranking better, but this is how I see it at the moment.
@@ReactionsToTheClassics I agree with you on the impossible task and depending on mood for the day.
Cool vid guys, love the back and forth
Really appreciate the kind words!!!! Thanks for watching Goldenboat!
Sgt. Pepper.
Thanks for the kind words and support David we really appreciate it!
For me, it was I Want to Hold Your Hand, in December 1963. It's the first Beatles song I remember hearing, and it was like NOTHING else we ever heard. Quickly reinforced by I Saw Her Standing There and She Loves You. The die was then cast.
My ranking
1. Revolver
2. Abbey road
3. Sgt Peppers
4. The white album
5. Rubber soul
6. Magical mystery tour
7. Help
8. A hard days night
9. Let It be
10. Beatles for sale
11. Please please me
12. With the Beatles
13. Yellow submarine
My favorite song is Eleanor Rigby
Great video
Great list thanks for sharing!
Great observations for sure. Thanks for sharing and watching!
I thought "Why Don't We Do It in the Road" was amazing !
Really can't argue with your ranking. Very fun to watch. keep it up guys!
Thanks we appreciate you watching!
1) Abbey Road
2) Sgt Pepper's...
3) Revolver
4) Rubber Soul
5) Help
Great ranking, thanks for sharing and for watching!
Great video guys, The one thing is sure is the Beatles influence & achievements in such a short timescale is incomparable.
Yes and will never be matched again! Thanks!
Great run through. Really enjoyed feeling your love for these. I could nitpick ..am sure all fans could (and will!)..but my main track nitpick would be Rock n Roll Music ..for me one of THE great rock vocals (the exuberance of John's voice always makes me want to smile and dance).
You for sure make a great point Marc. Thanks for sharing and for watching!
Great commentary and analysis fellas. I’ve been listening to and been a huge fan of The Beatles for 59 years and learned some interesting info I never knew from your comments. My list:
Thanks so much for taking the time to compile this Arnie. Loved seeing your takes with that kind of history you have with them!
FINALLY someone ranks Revolver at the top.
haha of course!!! Thanks for watching!
13 Let It Be
12 With The Beatles
11 Beatles For Sale
10 The White Album
9 Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band
8 Revolver
7 A Hard Day's Night
6 Abbey Road
5 Please, Please Me
4 Help!
3 Magical Mystery Tour
2 Rubber Soul
1 Yellow Submarine (The Most Underrated)
wow!
Dad did a great job because your son realizes there isn’t a bad Beatles Album.
Thanks Gary!
I agree that the top four Beatles albums are tough to rank because on any given day they can switch depending on your mood! Today my top four are:
1. Revolver
2. Sgt Pepper's
3. Rubber Soul
4. Abbey Road
Tomorrow, number 3 & 4 could switch places! And there are so many other amazing songs that aren't even on those albums! Great job ranking them but certainly not an easy one!
Agree totally on they can change at any time. SO MUCH great music! Thanks for sharing your list and for watching Betsy!
I love 'Revolver', but HOW is It better then 'Abbey Road'?!
lol Steve. MANY have Revolver rated over it. Not some out there take by any means. The outrage huh????
Jealous you got to see them not once, but three times! Was lucky enough to see Paul last year and the man still has it!
Great comment. Thanks Carlos!
Thanks for the wonderful and spot on comment Kevin!!!
1. Abbey Road
2. Sgt. Peppers Lonely hearts
3. Rubber soul
4. The white album
5. Revolver
Great list Jade, so much of their music can move up and down the list depending on mood etc. Thanks for watching!
the incredible thing about this band is that this list does, and aways will, change - the quality of songs is stunning and to think these albums don't contain many of their #1 singles AND that all this material is really over about a 7 year period - WHAT?!?! i do think their early albums are too easily overlooked in comparison with the later work. i would put A Hard Days Night with their best - but who's to quibble?
So many great points! Agree totally about the earlier stuff being overlooked, made ranking so much tougher.
Good video as always. My ranking (subject to change):
1. Abbey Road. Golden Slumbers/Carry That Weight/The End is my all time favorite. This album is pretty much perfection for me. Also its sound would point the way to the sound of rock in the 70s.)
Also Blackbird is fantastic, come at me :)
--------This middle section is actually the toughest for me to rank------
-------------------End of Middle Section--------------------------
Wow what a fantastic breakdown. Really appreciate you taking the time to do this and really we wouldn't agree more!! Thanks BobbyvilleMan!!
Thanks for watching Mike!
best rankings i’ve seen i don’t even care about accuracy or how much i agree with you guys just have great input
Thanks we truly appreciate that! VERY difficult at the top!
Not only is Abbey Road my favorite Beatles album but my favorite by any artist. I would have Revolver second. It is George's guitar on Abbey Road that makes the difference.
Hard to argue Lyle, they are so so close in our book. Thanks for watching!
(P. S. Carr and Tyler thought With the Beatles was top 5!)

lol yeah I like the covers on "Beatles for Sale", love to hear John and Paul just playing pure Rock n Roll
We sure weren't saying they were bad, just had to find some things to rank. Thanks for watching Dylan!
It's actually one of my best Beatles albums.
i love that there’s two separate rankings
haha we didn't want to concede to each other
The Beatles were best pre-1966. Change my mind!
Really you could argue any period they were active so not sure we can! Thanks for watching!
We don’t have the time or energy. To each his own.
No we won't. You are not right and you are not wrong it was just a new step for them. They want to produce a new level material. Enjoy both phases.
