- Take a look under the floorboards aboard the new Privilege 510 catamaran. We open each cupboard and floorboard to show you access to systems and reveal the tremendous amount of storage on board. A similar exterior walkthrough is in the works.
While a Privilege isn't the cat for me, I certainly appreciate this kind of detailed video, and wish that all makers would do this, rather than having to rely on hoping that another channel has an opportunity to tour the boat and hopefully get a detailed walkthrough.
Thanks - we couldn't agree more. There are lots of excellent lifestyle videos out there, but sometimes a good, slow (and maybe not so exciting) video highlighting the details is worthwhile!
Very thorough walk-through, of course! Many thanks.
There seems a lot to digest after watching all your videos it would take me at least a month to get my head around it all, because I am totally new to sailing
This is a phenomenal Cat......very well done!
I hope this was part 1 of this showing 10:24 secs???
Lets start again from the begining :)
Beautiful boat and probably one of the best walk through demonstrations I've seen .....and I've seen hundreds .....Please let's see a part 2
Really enjoyed your presentation skills . Very well done
Would love to see more ...I miss my boat shows 😪☹
Thanks Jim, we miss the boat shows too! More videos are in the works, you just have to be patient with us!
A good walk through, thanks.
Super vidéo. Vraiment intéressant de voir ces informations dans le détail. J'aurais aimé que ça dure une heure !
hi everyone. I would like to ad a few thoughts before watching the episode about the cat 510. recently my wife went to the shipyard of cat 510 privilege and and met with the "crew" responsible for this "mess" :)! She is french and she was right there while I am american and was in SF....on the virtual tour of the boat!!! Amazing people, amazing boat amazing everything about PRIVILEGE !!! We will decide which direction we are going to go soon , but if our finances "improve" a bit .....we will be there !!! Have to say ....she is an architect...and after checking out of 580....she is (let me say) confused ...:)! Love the entire community of Privilege , the designers, management !!! Cheers from SF! h@m
Thanks for the compliment and we're glad your wife got the opportunity to tour the Privilege Marine boatyard. Sorry we missed meeting her. I'd love to follow up with you when you have a chance. You can email me at rob@privilegecatamaransamerica.com - Cheers.
Hope other french builders watch this perfection!!!
German company bought it!
I know these are customizable, but exactly to what extent? Not for the smaller 510, but specifically on the larger Signature 580 model, would solar panels and a solar conversion set up be able to be added when the boat is first built?
Yes, absolutely - most people will install solar panels during the build process. There are many customizations beyond wood finishes and countertop colors! You work directly with the design team to customize your yacht for the way you want to use it.
You mentioned that there are water/fuel tanks on both sides. In specs it shows just one. Is it a total amount or for each tank. I'm asking as in bigger models your website shows two tanks, but for 510 only one which is strange.
Hi - You're correct, the spec shows the total amount in both tanks. There are two fresh water/fuel/black water tanks - one on each side.
Can't see any rubber seals under the floorboards. Aren't they squeeking with the time?
What is the headroom in the master cabin by the bed
Epic
Good luck getting out that fuel tank and those and get pin holes!!!
And I didn't even mention wet swimmers on and off the boat. Or spills of any kind in that high traffic area.
You didn’t show the engine room?
Hi Duke, we're working on an exterior tour of the 510 where we will focus on looking under all the hatches and opening lockers. Please stay tuned...
What is the build time on the 510
Hi Gary, it takes approximately 9 months to build the 510. Please contact Rob directly if you're looking for a specific build slot rob@privilegecatamaransamerica.com
@@PrivilegeCatamaransAmerica what about for the 580?
@@Lacroix999 It would take approximately 16-18 months!
Current build time on one of these?
hand🙌🙌🙌
Would love to see where electric bikes can go, scooters, maybe even a inflatable dock, with a range of other toys. Surprising the are still using old technology for the Marten gale instead of carbon fiber for that price point. Since Sunreef is there biggest competitor that is going to the next level. Or even making there own solar panels, using DC for its air con. Love the boat but not even walk around berths in the aft. They spent a lot of money for the new mold and did not look at every aspect for the consumer that wants more volume. A huge miss is a forward facing nav station. It is about time they slanted the galley windows. It worked if you were 5,3. It may come a time where they will have to move manufacturing to a less expensive country to keep up. But for know, it seems that people will pay 30% more for a boat that you can get made in other parts of the world.
Had me until you showed the tanks. How would you ever get those out if you had to.
The floor can be removed allowing the tanks to also be removed. If installed correctly, tanks should never have to be removed.
It would be much appreciated if you would do a similar walk around of the engine spaces and external storages in cockpit and deck
Thanks for your interest! We are planning to get on board a brand new Privilege 510 this coming February and our intention is to continue this tour with a focus on the engine spaces and exterior storage, etc. Stay tuned...
Who is the sailmakers for the Privilege?
Hi - Elstrom makes the sails for Privilege Marine.
@@PrivilegeCatamaransAmerica Thanks your reply, me being Danish, sounds like you chose wisely there :-)
Sorry, but I would never feel comfortable having high voltage bus bars and other electrical beneath floor panels just forward of the cockpit door. Too much opportunity for water, as I've taken waves into the galley on both Leopard and Lagoon in blue water storms. Tell me how I am wrong. High and dry. That's where I want them.
Nice catamaran! But in opinion way too many Showers ... better use some space for othe things.
Hi - as a semi-custom boat builder, Privilege Catamarans can accommodate the yacht to your preferences!
Half of all saloon storage is full with equipments! Based on her price this is not a plus!
