I must say that I wear those fragrances which I like and I can afford. I don't care if people is wearing it or not or if it's cheapy or not. The most important to me is that I like it and I have the possibility of having it. Other things are simply secondary...
I personally loves YSL ETD its clean and can wear it as an every day scent. I wear it often. It's not a head Turner but if your not trying to gain attention it's a good neutral smell.
To me Versace Dylan Blue is better than either of them and you can get it at a fraction of the price on discounters. Can't do that with Dior or YSL fragrances.
Dylan Blue is definitely a solid choice. I personally prefer the smell of Y, but most women I've asked prefer Dylan Blue. I think it might be the heavy ambroxan in Dylan Blue that many women are attracted to.
One thing I like to do is mix/layer fragrances. Especially if I like the fragrances but they're very popular, like Sauvage and Y. These two are ones I wear together and do a 50/50 ratio. They compliment each other very well and you also end up smelling more unique. I get a huge number of compliments wearing these two together. The only problem is when people don't just tell you that you smell great, but ask what you're wearing. Haha. As with any fragrances I mix, I've grown to just tell them it's a mix of a couple fragrances. If they're really curious because they want to buy them for a loved one, they'll then ask for specifics and you can't tell them exactly.
Mixing dior and YSL is understandable but generally you should avoid mixing fragrances as they are already a mix of like 50 scents. You risk ruining the perfume, disturbing the harmony of the carefully selected scents.
@@bauda818 You're entitled to your opinion, my friend. Dior and Y aren't the only two I mix, and I don't always mix everything I wear. I'm wearing Aventus today, solo, and never mix Aventus or any of my Creed fragrances when I wear them. Even with Sauvage and Y, I don't mix them every single time. Mixing in general is just something I do sometimes and have for a long time. I wouldn't say that it will "ruin" the fragrances. Sure, if you like just one or the other by itself, mixing them is going go eliminate you being able to enjoy them for what they are individually. You couldn't think of it like if you enjoy apple juice and cranberry juice, and you mix them you may still enjoy cran-apple, but it's then something different. But as far as ruining them, nothing is ruined. In fact, I've fairly recently found the UA-cam channel of a Perfumer who does videos of various fragrances "reviewed by a Perfumer". He makes fragrances for a living and I've heard him say a couple times that he also layers fragrances and will wear two individual scents.

I own both and prefer Sauvage EDT. Y EDP has a very strong floor-cleaner note that is hard to ignore and mostly goes unused in my collection. Which is a shame because I loved it at first smell but after a week of wear it started giving me headaches.
I love the way the EDP smells, but it's the only one in the Y line that gives me a slight headache after a few hours. I don't know why. Because of that, I prefer "Y Live" or "Y EDT"
I have both of them currently right now for regular everyday use i am telling you girls love ysl y you can literally see the way they look at you differently

I Like sauvage a lot but interestingly enough my girlfriend gravitates towards the parfum as her favourite of the line. That being said, I’d be curious to know your thoughts on the different concentrations of the Sauvage line sometime!
I have EDT,EDP and Elixir. I just got a big bottle of EDP so have been wearing EDT and EDP side by side a few days. EDP is more oriental spicy and EDT is more citrus. Elixir is way different and maybe the strongest scent I own. I sprayed 5 sprays on me the first time wearing it out and had a bubble on me that was around 15 feet pulsing lol.
I have both. Sausage is smoother, maybe for a date, or church. Y is for sure my head turner, if there's more people around and need to stand out, but its also very sporty, maybe a single spray so when you walk by your gym crush
Thank you beyond mere words for having a sound bed that is turned down so as to avoid competing with the spoken word. I need you teach everyone, please!
Maybe. I have BDC EDP and the hype is overrated imo. Doesn't project and is just a clean scent. Never get any compliments compared to other fragrances. I think it's just a good clean fresh blue scent that's more mature than youthful. Not saying it's bad but people don't go out of their way to compliment or ask about it
@@user-rj3qc2kx1i First off, he identified at least one of the two fragrances, and just couldn't remember the name of the other. So his nose is accurate. I agree, I see so many second hand Sauvage floating around for around 60usd barely used because a lot of people buy into it then realize they picked it out subconsciously because it was a familiar smell which turned it their cousin or something uses.
Chris is an awesome addition. I would not buy either of them. I have over fifty fragrances and I don’t own them. They are played out. Be different and wear something that stands out in the crowd. Spend your money wisely.
I owe all 3 of thoses colognes. I get the most compliments from women ages 30+ when I wear Creed which i only wear on special Occasions formal dinners Etc. And noticed i get more complaments from women in there 20's more when i wear Savage. I believe younger women enjoy more of a sweeter note kind of clean boy smell. When women 30+ enjoy more of a manly spice, woody smell . But all depends on my mood of the evening .
The opening of dior sauavge is nice but the dry down, after like 1-2 hours, it has the most annoying disgusting ambroxan ever. I bath in ambroxan, I wear fragrances that infused with ambroxan but the ambroxan in sauvage is the most horrible ambroxan smell ever, truly headache inducing. No one that is classy like sauvage, it is just trash! 🙄
Thanks for this comment, I was wondering if I was crazy for thinking Carbon and Sauvage smelled very similar at the duty free yesterday. I don't really hear fragrance reviewers mention this when talking about Carbon. Also, agreed. I have Y EDP and in the summer it is choking me out.
Y EDP is sweet for ot summer days. I have not smelled Y Eau Fraiche but I have the original EDT and it is way too airy and doesn't last long. Also, scentwise between the EDP and EDT, EDP hands down. EDT is boring.
Guy says everyone and their mom uses y cologne. That has to be the most bold faced lie I've heard in a long time. I think someone should check him. Sauvage is more widely used than y.

I did the same and my original thought when I first tried it was Christmas trees.. After a few wears, I found it tolerable and works well in high heat situations. It also lasts very long. So it's definitely not my fav but it has a place in my collection
Im 80% nose blind to Sauvage EDT but still bought it. A bit bummed out that i can't really smell it. Funnily i tried La Rive Extreme Story which is a dirt cheap, slightly sweeter, Sauvage clone and i have a bit of a problem smelling that one too. In fact i pick the La Rive scent up more then the original. My nose just doesn't get the DNA it seems.
Sauvage is WAY too sharp for me in the opening. Its extremely common around me on middle aged middle eastern men. Its really good at choking people out at the gym too
I can't stand neither of them, there is some note in drydown, that makes me feel tired and nauseous. Haven't identified it yet. However, YSL Y EDP has beautiful opening, while I don't like Sauvage at all.

@@AidanAidanAAA I did it. I really like it. It's much fresher and cleaner than what I was anticipating, but clearly masculine. I'm pleased.
I Like sauvage a lot but interestingly enough my girlfriend gravitates towards the parfum as her favourite of the line.
That being said, I’d be curious to know your thoughts on the different concentrations of the Sauvage line sometime!
the EDP is my favorite has a sweetness to it, and then the EDT is the youngest/manly, Parfum is smooth, Elixir is "older man" type
Elixir is the best of the line. Very sexy smelling and all you need is one spray and you'll be set.
@@darklausal23 Thanks for the summary!
@@winnienguyen4420 I like it a lot but unfortunately my SO dislikes it with a passion…
Stupid auto-correct🤦😂
Sausage great scent
I always go with pepperoni

@@alfredomacias3208 couldn't resist ;)
Thank you beyond mere words for having a sound bed that is turned down so as to avoid competing with the spoken word. I need you teach everyone, please!
You Should have compared Bleu de Chanel EDP as well and the dry downs of each
Maybe. I have BDC EDP and the hype is overrated imo. Doesn't project and is just a clean scent. Never get any compliments compared to other fragrances. I think it's just a good clean fresh blue scent that's more mature than youthful. Not saying it's bad but people don't go out of their way to compliment or ask about it
Sauvage is a compliment beast. I get compliments every time I wear it.
I’ve got Sauvage EDP and Y EDP - both are bangers
Def not redundant to own both
Chris needs to be a permanent guest on these group reactions. He knows his fragrances.
what?
he says everyone wears y but then calls sauvage amazing and tells us to buy it
its the exact opposite, everyone wears sauvage
@@user-rj3qc2kx1i tbh I smell Montblanc Explorer and YSL a lot more often than I smell Sauvage anymore, pre pandemic I would agree
@@user-rj3qc2kx1i First off, he identified at least one of the two fragrances, and just couldn't remember the name of the other. So his nose is accurate. Second, even if he's wrong about the overall popularity of the fragrances, it doesn't say anything about his ability to describe and identify them.
We need people who don't. Also he couldn't recognize Door SauSage
@@London_Mule I don't know where you live but Sauvage is literally the most common fragrance at this point.
I sprayed bleu de chanel on my hand and it smelled horribly synthetic, I did’t like it. But I sprayed this one on my hand and I would almost say I love it
So sad, that the last videos are so long ago. I would love some newer content! Especially Tressa :D I love her ruthless, honest opinions, which are also rooted in a really good understanding of fragrance profiles.
yesss. i was scrolling through their videos but was disappointed they hadn’t posted more recently
If any more people start wearing Sauvage the earth itself is going to start smelling like it.
Chris...my guy killed me. Said why buy they y. Personally i like Y more. I don't smell it often.
I agree, I see so many second hand Sauvage floating around for around 60usd barely used because a lot of people buy into it then realize they picked it out subconsciously because it was a familiar smell which turned it their cousin or something uses.
i love these group reactions!
Chris is an awesome addition. I would not buy either of them. I have over fifty fragrances and I don’t own them. They are played out. Be different and wear something that stands out in the crowd. Spend your money wisely.
Sauvage smells good on other people I can't stand it on me. Ysl for me is a fresh bomb I wear just to smell super clean.
That's why I always go for the sweeter ones :) Although Dylan Blue seems to be a crowd pleaser. Sweet with a smoky base.
Y one of my all time favourites!
Great video. I love Chris’ comment “ Y buy Y”, 🤣🤣
Y not?
@@rwyo83Exactly FVK Sauvage
1. Prada Carbon is much better than sauvage (smoother, calmer, more fresher)
2. Y edp is too sweet for summer, go for Y eau fraiche for hot weather.
@@cs9115 eh, guess I've never paid much attention to Prada fragrances then 🤷🏻♂️
Y EDP is sweet for ot summer days. I have not smelled Y Eau Fraiche but I have the original EDT and it is way too airy and doesn't last long. Also, scentwise between the EDP and EDT, EDP hands down. EDT is boring.
Smelled em
liked em
bought em both
😭😭
I own both and every time i wear suavage ppl tell me i smell old lol so coming here and seeing young ppl pick this is like what the heck
Big fan of Y edp. Just smelled Myslf for the first time and it’s sooo good. Might be better than Y!
I just got the yves saint laurent and man that smell is freaking awesome plus got some deodorant and man it smells so goooooooooooooood
Just proves peoples opinions and tastes are fleeting.
What one gets the most compliments ?
Sauvage always gets a bad reputation but when it’s in a blind reaction, it’s not that bad at all 😂 Maybe it’s overused because it is that good.
My guy really just said that Y is more overused than Sauvage.
Try YSL L'homme....this fragrance is known as every girls favourite scent. You gotta test out it's power
I’ve seen girls going crazy for it in a perfume store. My favorite is the bleu electrique version
THIS IS LITERALLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FORR!!! THANK YOU !!!
Did that one guy complain about Y being popular but not Sauvage which is even more popular? lol
Bring the scsrface gurl on more often. She brings more liveness to the channel!!!
Tressa needs her own channel. She fascinates me.
Yes.
no
maybe
Well.. she’s smokin hot so… 🤷♂️
Y EDP is better than Suavage. If you want Sauvage, Montblanc Legend does it for cheaper.
Guy says everyone and their mom uses y cologne. That has to be the most bold faced lie I've heard in a long time. I think someone should check him. Sauvage is more widely used than y.
some seem to be paid for by Dior, I have the Y edp, and it's amazing. extremely delicious. But keep buying Savage and everyone walking with the same scent... haha I prefer to smell different and very good
the Y edt 2022 better performs than the original. Def a favorite of mine love the initial pop!
I blind bought bough dior sauvage edt which was a big mistake i hate it, it just doesnt smell good to me but to each their own, i honestly dont get the hype.
I did the same and my original thought when I first tried it was Christmas trees.. After a few wears, I found it tolerable and works well in high heat situations. It also lasts very long. So it's definitely not my fav but it has a place in my collection
@@NevNYC you sure it was the edt because the one that smells like Christmas tree in opening is elixir
Sauvage is just HIM
I know everybody has it at this point but people just like the scent
Hell, she literally said the Sauvage is "more unique". Probably more unique than water.
Stop wearing and smelling it for 1-2 weeks. You'll smell it again.
who cares what women think? wear perfumes for yourself not others.
I want to hear what Jim's ideas of good fragrances are... I bet he wears axe body spray
Do a blind test video comparing all sauvage concentrations
Had them both fragrances...yeah they very popular and that's not without a reason thay just smell great.
I’ve smelled these on other people and they are nice but bleu de chanel and ASEE are better imo
I tried Versace at first now ready to get my daily scent 🎉
I entered the giveaway. My husband helped me pick. I've never won anything in my life I so need something good to happen. Good luck everyone!!!
Those are Smelly Proof bags right? Or are they Lopsak Opsak?
Sauvage is WAY too sharp for me in the opening. Its extremely common around me on middle aged middle eastern men. Its really good at choking people out at the gym too
😂
I can't stand neither of them, there is some note in drydown, that makes me feel tired and nauseous. Haven't identified it yet.
However, YSL Y EDP has beautiful opening, while I don't like Sauvage at all.
Came here to call out the guy who said Dior over YSL Y and saw that everyone in the comments already did that.
A lady I work with said I smelled rustic with the YSL.😂
Just entered the contest! Super stoked at the opportunity to win some fragrances that I cant afford :) Keep up the great work!
I just found out that you has perfume channel, your watch channel really good tho
Why would you compare an EDP to an EDT
I own sauvage edt and enjoy it but it’s my gfs absolute favorite. I’ve tested many fragrances and Y EDP is the one I can’t stand, it smells gross, like a sweet synthetic flower. I’ll never understand the hype.
Bro yes! I love Y EDT but I can't stand Y EDP!
Y edp is really good, but too sweet for me.
Did they announce the winner of the giveaway?
dior sausage is great but it just doesnt compare to YSL Y EDP
