Alot of Tekken 8 is basically just a guessing game. Alot of character have mixups that are impossible to react to. The game should be renamed _Guessen 8_ Heat Edition.

They should have made DEN 3 have an option to not go into the stance if Lars is trying to not get rage arted. Now they made it a little bit brain dead. But the whole game and tons of other characters are brain dead so I guess at this point it doesn't even matter. Another little minor nit pick thing I dislike is how in T7 and T8 they made some of his moves not auto transition into stance (eg: den 3+4, den 1, b3, df3), but some of his moves auto transition into stances and you have to hold b for them not to go into stance (eg: df2). I preferred it in T6 and TTT2 where it was consistent across the board and none of his moves auto transitioned into stance. But if you wanted to go into stance then you press f or d in the case of some moves.
The strategy of Tekken 8 is "either guess right, or attack constantly and hope your opponent doesn't guess right." With pro level technique, it's just a dice roll. the first Evo will be sad.
Lars and broken should never be in same sentence. As long as Feng, Dragunov and Azucena can do what they do, I dont wanna hear it. While DEN3 is stronger, its locked behind a stance, it requires a setup on oki and its not spammable. Go look at Fengs b3, and that shit is way worse. Drag db3+4 or b1+2. Azucena wr 3,2 is still godlike. I rather deal with DEN3 50/50 than those moves.
When I first started playing Lars I def felt that wall that would happen when they were in rage… overtime I just accepted you could do den 3 if they had rage. Cool, honestly tho if they wanted to not allow the move to be defended in that way they could have just made it so den 3 didn’t always have to go into stance. And honestly I don’t think it really needed the buff since it was already pretty strong.

So for all of those against this buff, you're telling me that a slow, 22f move coming from a stance dash that is also not fast frame wise compared to other spammy moves from other characters, is braindead? Really? Aside from the fact that many characters have a knockdown move from either a mid or low that is also faster than this that creates oki situations. Lars need this buff. You've got to consider way more braindead characters like Dragunov, Azu, Leo etc... before having a knee jerk reaction.
I agree. Lars main here and though I do somewhat agree with the sentiment that DEN 3 is broken, considering the fact that other characters haven't been balanced at all and have a lot of really annoying and broken moves, Lars' buff shouldn't be an issue at all.
DEN3 is not broken. Players had shitty defense against it even when it was +3. Very rarely did anyone step the follow ups in SEN or did any counterplay because a lot don't even know the match up. I'm not saying the move ain't very strong now, but let's not act like we're playing Tekken 6 Lars. THAT was broken.
lars main here! from my experience if opponents put on pressure , lars has little in the tool kit to deal counter, that plus wall combos are far and few so this as a buff is a need.

@@NakedGhost3234 But Lars is capable of outplaying sooo… he’s not a 50/50 machine. 50/50s are a necessary evil in any fighting game because if everything is reactable the game becomes a boring defensive waiting game similar to the direction high level T7 was when tournaments were decided by the clock
