Nah I ain't going to believe till the Creator flat out say it otherwise its just Speculation Something i got really tired of is theories cuz the fan end up coming up with something sometime far FAR more interesting then what it actually was
The part that doesn't make sense about your theory us that the founding titan powers doesn't work on the Ackerman clan, so Mikasa and Levi would have known if eren completed the rumbling
Ackermans are the result of titan experiments, so when Eren took away the power of the titans from all Eldians the ackermans become normal people, which is exactly what the original ending implies. Mikasa becomes more dainty in the scene where the bird wraps the scarf around her, and Levi is down bad in the wheelchair. This confirms that Ackermans’ powers are tied directly to the Titan abilities
So If eren did a 100% rumbling it wouldn't make sense because the people will still see there are no people outside the walls. They would see the lies.
I always thought the Ackermans were a family if Eldians who weren’t related to Ymir? Anyone who isn’t a descendant of Ymir and King Fritz’s family wouldn’t logically be able to have the Titan powers. There were plenty of regular Eldians in Fritz’s tribe
@@GingyWeebmet-kv4gyall that needs to happen is what happened. Levi and Mikasa “stopped Eren” The only reason we readers know it’s 80% and not 100% (besides paradise) is because Eren says so to Armin. Armin would then tell Mikasa/Levi. There’s no way for Mikasa or Levi to fact check Eren.
Imo, Aaron died just like we saw, but the paths remained since the hallucinogenia never died. Humanity nuked itself back to the stone age and the kid finding the tree will just repeat the cycle of the Titans.
The titans were made by Ymir's wish. The Hallucigenia is juts want granted it. So since the kid is not Ymir, he won't necessarily wish for a strong body like her to survive. His wish will depend on how society treated him. And that's why this epilogue is one of the most brilliant ever.
@fs400ion huh i always figured it was just what the hallucinogenia did, especially since the hallucinogenia caused all those people to turn into titans at the end ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

If it were true, he wouldn't need to. The cycle repeats, the rumbling repeats, a new host is selected, and the new host is a victim of their own fate, which was carefully controlled by the previous host. Remember, this clearly was not the first time Titans were a thing. This is a Roko's Basilisk situation, though slightly modified.
To answer one question as to why the rumblings stopped when Zeke was gone. It's because Zeke held the founding blood. Unlike his half brother and without zeke, the rumbling could not continue
Interesting theory, I can confirm that tree looks eerily similar, and the fact that if the rumbling wasn’t completed, then paradis would have been flattened with bombing. What makes the most sense to me is in his “dying” breath, eren took Ymir’s place and became the founding titan, which can rewrite all Eldian dna, and made this history. There doesn’t seem to be any way the island survives in the “current” story
Erin's titan marks don't disappear because he eliminated titan abilities, meaning he can't heal. And the tree didn’t just "appear" where Erin was burried, it was there when they were kids and grew over the centuries.
I would love a season 5 of AOT. I know some people, are still working on AOTR by the fans. And I think it would be a slap to the face to those ending defenders.
I stated that here are some contradictions in that statement of he wanted to destroy the outside world in the Manga, and in the anime, it is shown that he apologizes to a boy because he knows his fate, which is to do the rumbling. So, no I don't think he wanted to, but yeah, I do believe he was actually Looking to destroy his enemies, which was in the outside world, the people that caused all of his suffering that was, we wanted to destroy or kill 6:00
This theory takes a lot of inductive reasoning from things that just weren’t fleshed out enough. There isn’t enough evidence directly in the show/manga to support this theory. That being said, it’s a very solid in-universe theory
@@bumperjumper yes but not with eren, at least not with the current timeline. i want either a prequel of the ymir titan war or i want them to create a series off the end snippet with the boy and the dog finding the tree of life, see how the new titan cycle begins
I don't really buy the whole memory shenanigans as the post ending war does not make sense then. But Eren still living in the paths is a high possibility.
Just a few things I find confusing about the theory. This is me just diving down into this rabbit hole, though I do not think this happened I love listening to different points of view. 1st: If rumbling eliminated the whole world outside Paradise, what would be the sense to make up a story that "the devils of paradise" took Eren out, if there are no nations left that think of them as devils ? (and no one can gain Titan powers , only Eren has them) 2nd: Even if Ackermans could have their memories wiped, there are also Marleyans and non-eldians in different places that know the story, like Nicolo, Yelena, Azumabito, Onyankopon, and some orientals, so Eren would not be able to roam freely and explore the world unless dealing with that some other way. Not too many possibilities come to mind... but one stretching theory for me is that all people alive are eldians but some thinking they come from different nations. But that would mean having them memories created too....buuuut... since we are only shown a pre-fabricated story by Eren we may not know the full extent of Founding titan powers (anything possible basically). 3rd: If he died because of the curse of Ymir 4 years later, in that current industrial technology era, it would be difficult to wipe memory at that point and explain a narrative where the nations rebuilt from the rumbling and then wiped each other (and not paradise) with massive weapons in just from those 4 years Eren lived and civilization advanced. If we go further, we are talking Eren dying around WW1 arms technology wise. And we are shown that the kid with the dog appeared after possibly a century of technological development, being shown jet planes and missiles. The only think I can think of is, that when Ymir gave power to Eren, the curse of Ymir was lifted too and he could live longer. Many years later when close to dying he could do another wiping and fabricate something more plausible, with technology closer the the end of the century. Still without only books for information and more ways to preserver history it would be much more difficult , in similar fashion as it happened with Titan domination itself becoming obsolete agains advanced weapons or flying.
Dude seems like a bit more in touch and probably less orange Donald. 'This theory may be one of the greatest attack on titan theories in the history of youtube. Yes folks it's true I can gauruntee you 99 percent of attack on titan fans have never thought of this before because of one detail and this theory belonging to me is based off that detail (that Eren could have mind wiped the eldians?) will change the way you see attack on titan in a fresh new light.
I think since founding titans can just manipulate and change events in time, Eren should have went in time and prevented Ymir from ever becoming a titan. Or destroying the centipede thing so titans could never exist. That way 80% of the world didn’t need to die and freedom could be achieved.
That's impossible. It's a closed paradox not a timeline jumping story. Since titans exist when the kids are alive that means that there have to have been titans.
He cannot prevent ymir from possessing the Titan power because eren cannot travel in time but only can send memories back in time. So while the Titan powers didn't exist in the past before ymir possessing it, he cannot send those memories back in time
You would LOVE the theory I made about this exact thing. I claimed that Ymir used the attack titan’s power to send the memory of mikasa taking out Eren to herself BEFORE the soldier threw the spear at King Fritz, causing her to let king Fritz die instead of her taking the spear for him
You and me both. I just finished AOT last week and this is also my theory. It was a master plan where in every outcome he was victorious. Eren was Ymir's vessel all this time, the devil himself he has become but unlike Ymir, he had friends and Mikasa. Ultimately leading to this mental crazy state Eren always had. Also another small fact nobody is mentioning, the Attack Titan could've been the only one that inherited the Evil nature of Ymir's founder. That why it has always looked diabolical by comparison with the other 7 titans. Particuarly the pointy ears resembling ones of the Devil, and Eren's founder titan form was not a titan, that was the All- Earth Devil, also mentioned in the series. Eren had his eyes closed during the rumbling, because the Devil was in control, ultimatelt telling us, the Devil and Evil can't be put down, it will always be amongst us no matter what, through out the credit scenes, cause Im positive there will be no AOT 2.
This is a very interesting theory that reminds me a lot of the aot requiem project. I personally believe that although this would be an interesting twist for a sequel series it is unlikely due to Eren still loving and valuing his friends. I do think however it is very clear from the ending in some way we have yet to understand that he replaced Ymir as the founder, a new cycle of the halucegenia will begin, and although we don't know exactly what the result will be something like the titans will likely be the result. There is definitely the potential there for a spin off, but unless Isiama thinks what could be contributed to the story would be as qualitative if not more so that it should be avoided for the sake of the originals legacy.
@bumperjumper that's a good question. I liked the end so much as it is I'm not even sure I would want a follow up, but if one were to be made you could have the advancement of technology over humans requires the titans again like a terminator style man vs machine story, or you could have an exploration of the titan powers consolidated in eren threaten all life on earth again and the only thing that stands in it's way is Eren as the founder trying to prevent the cycle from repeating or holding back the halucegenia life form from finishing the extermination of humans. You could also have some 2001 a space odyssey situation where another life form similar to the halucegenia comes down or is discovered by contemporary science that threatens human civilization and only the titan powers through Eren can stand against it. Any of those premises I think has sequel potential but knowing Isaiama would have a slow buildup and amazing new twists along the way.
Sounds like copium, if Eren did alter memories, then there are still people who will know the true history (Mikasa, Levi, the east tech guys) and also Mikasa wouldn’t the way she reacted in the final episode since Eren can’t manipulate her memories
The Ackermans are the result of Titan experiments, so when Eren took away the Titan powers from everyone but himself Ackermans would become normal people, like we saw in the last scenes where Levi and Mikasa are no longer strong and are regular people
Eren telling Armin that he did want to wipe out the world was him being honest with himself. His goal was to save his friends and then save the remaining 20% of humanity after having sacrificed the first 80% of the world upon activating the Rumbling because if he didn't the wars would have continued until all of humanity w as wiped out, so he needed to make everyone want o kill him. Armin was acknowledging the how Eren was ultimately trying to save everyone (or as many people as possible), and to activate the Rumbling was the only option, but Eren was confessing that even though saving those he could was his goal, a part of him DID want to actually wipe out the world and was fine killing off 80% of humanity because he hated the world for what it did to him and his friends. It was his way of admitting that his goals weren't entirely selfless and benevolent, but also held a selfish and malevolent side to them and that he would have been fine if his friends had failed to stop him, which is why he felt guilty.

That, or a vessel for Erin. I think all Erin did was give Humans time to do their own thing because he knew eventually they'd destroy everything and the world would be reset, allowing the cycle to begin again.
The Ackermans are the result of Titan experiments, so when Eren took away the Titan powers from everyone but himself Ackermans would become normal people, like we saw in the last scenes where Levi and Mikasa are no longer strong and are regular people
@bumperjumper I understand. But the Power of the Titans must exist, even if the Coordinate was not destroyed, therefore the Paths did not cease to exist, the Founder cannot manipulate people from there, that's why both Zeke and Eren had to ask for "permission" to be able to use the Founder's skills to the full. And the Founder must die to make the Ackermanns "normal" again.
@ yes! But those were past titans… so could this mean the boy and the dog happened BEFORE the events of the anime? Maybe the boy and the dog led to the source of living matter somehow?
I don't think there's any mental trickery around the ending scenes of the show. After the ending scenes I did however come to the conclusion that he probably went into a form of "stasis" allowing the Human world to progress and do it's own thing while he waited, essentially an "Odin Sleep". Humans destroyed the world and put it back to an almost primal state. It looked like he took the place of Ymir and could in theory be "Birthed" from the tree and rebuild the Eldian Empire as it was before. By this point in time (Shows end), Titans would be little more than Mythology, if that.
the only thing i have to say that i feel contradicts this is Erin also said he did this all so that Eldians could be free, thats why he didnt go through with zekes plan, because it took their freedom to have children. i dont see erin tricking everyone into being sheep again and i dont see the reason for him to lie about not killing only 20% of the world, hes already dead plus if the eldians went exploring oneday i mean theyd eventually find out bro lied

Interesting theory but this would also assassinate his character because that means he would take away people free will/freedom by manipulating his people in a cage/island/wall, just like how he was back then. That being said, this is an interesting idea on how he will be back.
Icl we all seen what was going on with the ending credits you’d have to be BLIND…. And the tree was obv identical in every way and erens markings on his face we all knew this when the series ended 👏🏽😂
Another season? Maybe the reincarnation of Iseyama will pick it up? 50 years later? lol Maybe someone can just do a fan fanfiction. Doujin? Create their own branch timeline to tell their sequel. Titans fan multiverse.
I don’t really want another season this was a fitting ending for a suicidal maniac like Erin I think they would ruin it by having another season. Unless it’s like deathnote where the guy that gets the power does something completely different from the previous users keeping the story fresh.
I thought Helena and Onyankopon weren't Eldian and couldn't be subject to Ymir's powers? Also, did you cover the middle attacks? Are those false memories implanted on the narrator?
King Fritz didn't decide anything. Ymir orchestrated the birth of Eren to free herself from the Paths. Let's not forget that in the 13 years she was alive, she has access to all the Titan Powers, essentially being able to do the same thing Eren did with Zeke in his memories. It makes no sense that with the power of the Titan, the Eldians had not fully conquered the world in the 2,000 years they had. The founder's power allows for complete control of the mind and bodies of anyone with a drop of Eldian blood, making the so called rebellions among the families with shifters impossible. Genghis Khan lived for 65 years and he has roughly 16 million descendants. Now imagine an entire population that can do things like become immune to plague over night, or summon immortal giants, trying to expand. The only way the could have been stopped is if Ymir was purposefully stopping them.
I really like this idea an honestly hate the ending Erin deserved better than to be Ymir's puppet cause that's what he was she showed a future that broke him. An Erin just never seemed that dumb an always had an idea its like they made him the only slave to there power it just was a dumb ending he killed his mom no.

Do you mean what we see from the moment of the start of the Rumbling till the annihilation of Paradis by nukes everything was fake and every outsider is massacred? But Eren would need to erase every memory of all Eldians had including his friends and make them think Paradis was annihilated by Marley, he would need to erase their memories and make them think they were born hundreds or thousands of years after the rumbling. In the continuation of this story Eldians(like the boy and the dog) are stuck on Paradis thinking they were nuked into the stone age by Marley a few generations before, with no idea who they really are, and would eventually realize decades or centuries later that there are no humans left alive when they finally make ships and venture outside to the continent... If you only refer to the stopping of the rumbling being fake then no... other nations are alive after the rumbling, at least a few million people are still alive(Like Muller, Onyankopon and Yelena ) and if Eldians can travel around they will soon find out that they were lied to when they see that every other continent is barren and there are no other humans left...
@@Dhrazor keep in mind everyone getting on the plane was part of the false history, so Onyakopon, Yelena, and the engineers could easily have been taken out by Eren. I mean Eren sacrificed his own mom to make the whole plot happen so I doubt he would have an issue taking out Onyakopon and Yelena. Or, he leaves them alive out of guilt/mercy and the next plot is them uncovering his false history. That could be cool too
@@vetementspapi Ackermans are the result of titan experiments, so when Eren removes the power of the titans from the Eldians this reduces Ackermans to regular people, like how the “original” ending shows Mikasa more dainty in the end and Levi is barely alive lol
Isn't it only possible for the eraser power of the founder to only work on those connected to the paths? How would it work on the outside world? Or anyone disconnected from the paths?
I understand where you’re coming from with this and I’m going off what I’ve gotten. Eren is dead. The worm thing is technically immortal and is waiting for the next host which canonically has already been chosen. I believe the movie named aot the last attack was released in Japan not too long ago which basically says that the titan powers had gone dormant till a new founder had been discovered. The theory on the faked ending rumbling can’t be true because Ackerman blood can’t be effected by the founder in any way wether it be turning into pure titans or having their memories wiped
This would only make sense IF Eren had royal blood. He didn't. His brother did, though. Zeke got his royal blood from his mother. And as we all know, Eren did NOT eat his brother. Furthermore, the Ackerman clan (presumably the ones raised in the walls anyway) were immune to memory wipes, aka the founding titan. They were hunted down because of their talents, but more importantly for what they knew. And with Mikasa and Levi, we can clearly see that they don't know the full gist of things.
@@Tmhjr_Baskar when Eren made contact with Zeke, he gained direct access to the founder’s power through Ymir (she allowed it). So zeke is no longer necessary. Also, the ackermans got their special abilities from Titan experiments, so when Eren took away the Titan powers from Eldians the Ackermans become regular people, just like the “original” ending suggests. This is why mikasa appears more dainty and Levi looks like he’s barely keeping it together lol
Normal Humans blamed everything on Eldians, Erin understood this would continue unless Eldians became normal. That being said, I think Erin also saw that Humans would destroy the world on their own due to Human nature. He allowed Humanity to do its own thing for anywhere between hundreds to thousands of years. IMHO at shows end, the cycle is about to repeat and either the boy becomes the new Ymir or Erin himself uses the boy as a vessel.
Well, pretending Isayama himself forgot major things is quite silly. The Hallucigenia dying is a parasyte. It needs a host to survive. Without getting close to Eren's body it just died. Or simply when Ymir stopped her cursed the parasyte that was linked to her died then too. The Rumbling ending with Zeke is a bit weird since we thought Eren now had authority, but seems like some royal blood was still needed for things to work. Plus Ymir wasn't totally free yet when she decided to do the rumbling because she was still a slave to Fritz's mindset. Problem with some fanending forget thata good story has a moral. The current ending shows how peace is the real way despite bad odds, because as the epilogue points out, war will come back somewhere in the future, whether 100, 1000 or 10 000 years. Therefore war will never bring peace. And that's why in your little insignificant life, you should do everything to escape the forest and praise peace. What moral would there be with Eren fabricating everything? Or the other weird ending with Eren and Historia having a baby and Eren shedding one tear looking back at everything. Those endings are edgy, and maybe have cool twist value. But they completely lack the messaging, the morality, the themes that make a story philosophically relevant. Oh plus both those fanfics miss Eren's character. Him being fine with completing the Rumbling and him erasing people's memories forever is really off character. It makes him really evil, which he was clearly not. I don't like those interpretation because instead of portraying Eren as a complex character he's just a villain. Just a terible monstrous peace of shit, while in reality Eren is all about being cruel yet beautiful. He didn't kill Mikasa's saviors for fun. He lied to save her. He use cruel violence, because he was genuinely at the idea of an innocent girl getting catpured by weirdos. And yet this guy would do the rumbling all-in with no care? Nah
naaah I don't like this theory and it doesn't really make much sense. What Isayama could do is some kind of Game of Thrones anime in the time of the Titan Wars. I would find that really interesting.
No! Your theory has 1 hole And that 1 hole Destroys the whole thing Ackerman Cannot lose their memories, They can't be controlled by the founding Titan Levi And mikasa Would not be affected by any kind of memory So in conclusion This theory holds no water And it is not what happened Good effort Nice try But you forgot the 1 thing that killed it
@@darthjaymoonstar6 the Ackermans are the result of titan experiments, so when Eren takes away the Titan powers they become normal Eldians, thus making memory wiping possible. This is not a hole; it makes sense within my theory
I'm sorry, but this theory is so contrived that it's laughable. "This explains why several aspects to the ending didn't make sense to me." So just because it didn't make sense to you, that means there's something more complex at play? Seriously? You believe in this theory with no evidence. The only thing you have to say is that Ackerman's were titan experiments, but that doesn't automatically mean their strength and abilities go away when the titans go away. The titan curse went away = titans go away. The Ackerman's abilities allowed them to stay human while everyone else turned into titans, so why would they suddenly be affected after the titan curse goes away If they weren't ever affected by the titan curse before? Not to mention how Eren's ability to manipulate people's memory only works on Eldians. So then what about the other characters who aren't Eldian? How can their minds be manipulated into thinking that the rest of the world isn't destroyed? Also, if the Ackerman's were completely immune to the founding titan's powers even before the walls were created, that means that they're outside of the reach of the titan's powers. They're not affected by them at all. Since that's the case, there's no reason for them to be affected by the erasure of the titan curse. But you might say that because their abilities are built by titan powers, because of "titan science," then once the curse goes away, their abilities go away. Well that doesn't make sense either, because then why didn't Mikasa and Levi turn into titans? Why did they stay normal if they're supposedly part-titan? (Because if their genes are built by "titan science," that would make them part-titan) Remember, just a sip of titan fluid will turn you into one if you're an Eldian, so how are we supposed to believe that the Ackerman's are part-titan if they're immune to turning into titans? If it takes as much as a sip, then they would only have to be a little bit related to titans in order to turn into one. So the fact that they didn't turn into titans proves that they're not even in the slightest bit related to titans. Therefore, the defense of this theory's biggest hole is not valid.
This is all explained within the lore of the story. Ackermans cannot be turned into titans because they already are using titan powers via their superhuman strength and speed. You say that ending the curse doesn’t mean Ackermans become normal people, but this is confirmed within the original ending itself. Mikasa appears dainty, with no more muscles and much more feminine in the scene where Beren (the bird) wraps the scarf around her. Levi is also in an almost vegetative state in the ending too, showing how they became normal people in the canonical ending. This is all explained within the lore. Also, Mikasa AND Levi are mixed with Eldian blood, meaning they can be manipulated. I will say that the oriental engineers, Onyakopon, and Yelena are immune to this but Eren could easily take them out

No, Eren is dead. I’m sure they will find a way to bring him back if the almighty investor invests just right.
Very true! Would you want the series to continue or nah?

THE FUNDING TITAN
I don't really buy the whole memory shenanigans as the post ending war does not make sense then. But Eren still living in the paths is a high possibility.
@@jonathanadams5903 what do you think Eren living in the paths means? Would you want another season?
Just a few things I find confusing about the theory. This is me just diving down into this rabbit hole, though I do not think this happened I love listening to different points of view.
1st:
If rumbling eliminated the whole world outside Paradise, what would be the sense to make up a story that "the devils of paradise" took Eren out, if there are no nations left that think of them as devils ? (and no one can gain Titan powers , only Eren has them)
2nd:
Even if Ackermans could have their memories wiped, there are also Marleyans and non-eldians in different places that know the story, like Nicolo, Yelena, Azumabito, Onyankopon, and some orientals, so Eren would not be able to roam freely and explore the world unless dealing with that some other way.
3rd:
If he died because of the curse of Ymir 4 years later, in that current industrial technology era, it would be difficult to wipe memory at that point and explain a narrative where the nations rebuilt from the rumbling and then wiped each other (and not paradise) with massive weapons in just from those 4 years Eren lived and civilization advanced.

So while the Titan powers didn't exist in the past before ymir possessing it, he cannot send those memories back in time
Also if eren somehow stopped it, he wouldn't possess the power to do it, therefore it will become similar to grandfather paradox
You would LOVE the theory I made about this exact thing. I claimed that Ymir used the attack titan’s power to send the memory of mikasa taking out Eren to herself BEFORE the soldier threw the spear at King Fritz, causing her to let king Fritz die instead of her taking the spear for him
Unless timelines become split up after the past is changed, which is very possible
@@_thebigsteve what would you want to see in a new season of aot?

Brute force
It was his way of admitting that his goals weren't entirely selfless and benevolent, but also held a selfish and malevolent side to them and that he would have been fine if his friends had failed to stop him, which is why he felt guilty.
this is such a good theory but what about the ackermans cuz their memories cant be wiped out

Wouldn't Levi and Messaka know the truth since the Ackerman blood line can't be fucked with like that.
I think at the very least that kid walks into the tree at the end and ends up like Ymir
That, or a vessel for Erin.
I think all Erin did was give Humans time to do their own thing because he knew eventually they'd destroy everything and the world would be reset, allowing the cycle to begin again.
@ hell it’s possibly one of his descendants as well. He had a child with Historia so there’s a small chance.
This theory is not possible because the Founder cannot alter the memory of the Ackermann.
Did you notice it was a dog made out of clay that the titans was made out of, the same dog at the end with the little boy at the tree

I think he used his ability to show himself he’s being manipulated before his death giving child him a choice
Y'all keep looking for secrets to continue the story plot because you're in denial that the masterpiece that grabbed your conscious and heart; has to come to an end. This show ties in with reality. I hope y'all do know that. If anything AoT is a guide of Truth to help you through life
Do you mean what we see from the moment of the start of the Rumbling till the annihilation of Paradis by nukes everything was fake and every outsider is massacred?
That could be cool too
@bumperjumper what about the few marlians who are inside the paradise?
The mind erasure doesn't work on Mikassa and Levi, that's the only glaring hole I see in your theory.
@@vetementspapi Ackermans are the result of titan experiments, so when Eren removes the power of the titans from the Eldians this reduces Ackermans to regular people, like how the “original” ending shows Mikasa more dainty in the end and Levi is barely alive lol

The centipede appears dead.
Again I’m just going off what I know so if you wanna ask anything or detest it in a way I’d love to hear
Ymir thought zeke was cringe
I got a question. So why paradise gets to nuclear fight.and technology upgraded that fast in 4 years?
The epilogue is centuries later. The nuking might even be thousands of years in the future.
Love the theory 🔥🔥

Nah

No! @@darthjaymoonstar6 the Ackermans are the result of titan experiments, so when Eren takes away the Titan powers they become normal Eldians, thus making memory wiping possible. This is not a hole; it makes sense within my theory
Stop yapping please i am happy with that ending 😭😭😭😭😭😭🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😭😭🙏🏻
I like like theory this more. It gives us nore. Stopping st 80% sounds stupid
