So excited for Within Temptation and Fields of the Nephilim :) Actually gotik-treffen and M‘era Luna are my teenage dreams, and right now as an adult I still dream about it. The thing is I have no goth friends or any goth in my city, so yeah, sometimes I feel lonely. When I first saw your videos I felt like I’m not alone anymore, felt like I have friends. Can’t imagine how it feels when you see and talk to so many people who love same stuff as you. My gothic dream

I would be really excited to see VV and The 69 eyes. I've been a HIM fan since I was 12 and I need to see Ville Valo once in my life and then I can die in peace. Also it's my huge wish to go to a festival and meet other goths :)
I'd definetly be most excited for London After Midnight, they have become one of my absolute favorite bands out of the genre and I would love to experience them live. I've also never been to a goth festival before, only to clubs and stuff so I would love to get to know more bands, especially because I love discovering new music live for the first time. And seeing all the people dress up and being able to dress up for it myself is something that I'd definitely be looking forward to! Love your videos, keep up the great content :)

It would be my first ever festival and I'M so exited to meet people with the same interest as me. I always watched your vlogs about M'era Luna and asked myself why I never heard of it. And this year I'm goin' to experience it myself no matter what comes and even if I'm not the lucky winner 🖤🦇⛓
i don't know a majority of the bands playing. even though i'm broke i'd still go. i know there's water and it'd be hard to hitchhike there but i'd still hitchhike. i'd imagine it'd be no different than driving to the bahamas.
I would be excited to finally be able to go to M'era Luna. We have rock/metal/etc shows here, but we don't have any Goth fests. I've been wanting to go for years, but I can never get anyone that would want to go out there with me, It is a long trip. It also always falls near my birthday. I was glad they streamed the festival during the Rona, was able to get people interested in some good music, and to show what the culture really is like and what it is about. A place where outsiders are no longer outsiders, and can enjoy time together. They have a great line up this year as well. Keep up the great work with the videos my gothy Irish family.
I'd be stoked to see Ville Valo and The 69 Eyes. And Lodon After midnight, too. I'd also be pretty excited to get to be around all of the wonderful people of the scene again, because there aren't that many opportunities for that throughout the year. And I would be very excited about the shops and being able to try clothes on in person instead of having to order them online.
Actually I think I'm excited about absolutely anything regarding the festival, except for the heat maybe :D

Thanks guys for all the info, Mera Luna is definitely the best festival in the world and I had been trying to organize myself to go in 2024, but if I have the opportunity to go now in 2023, I am totally in for it, the line up is incredible, all my favorite bands will be there. I will be watching you guys close on may 6, who knows, maybe I can be that lucky goth girl to win those tickets...
The most exciting thing, or things, for me at the M'era Luna festival would be to see Ville Valo, Fields of Nephilim and The 69 eyes live for the very first time, and to meet people that are alike to me since I'm the only goth in my town.
M'era luna is something I have always wanted to go to, don't have any festivals like this where I'm from, honestly what I look forward to most is watching the aftermovies and vlogs of the beautiful people who go. If I were to go I would be the most excited to just find new bands and listen to them live. to discover bands and musicians for the first time live is such a beautiful and personal experience, because you are not only resonation with this new music but surrounded by others who also love and appreciate it as well.
I really would love to see The 69 eyes and soar fake live, their music is so addictive I would be entranced.

I would be very excited to go to the festival because it would be my first time and I'm so curious to experience the vibe, all the amazing bands that will play this year (VV, The 69 Eyes, Within Temptation; London after midnight, Pitchfork project) and also the fashion and various costumes. I have never been to a proper goth festival before and I would be so happy to meet some goths from all over the world.

Viewing all the way from Vancouver bc! Would love to see absolutel body control, fields of nephlium and the Cassandra complex! and also to be back in doutchland again close to fam!
If travelling from the UK you can fly direct to Hannover from Heathrow but flights sell out quickly.
There is also the Goths on a Bus (travel only) option and that is exactly what it sounds like.
You get a double seat on a coach with a few pick up points and takes you straight to Hildesheim. Again it sells out quickly because people use it every year.
I would loveeeee to see within temptation and london after midnight at mera luna! It would be my first goth festival. Where I live there are not any goths so I am the town weirdo. And I would LOVE to be surrounded by my own species and make some new friends🖤🖤

Although I am German, I have never been to a goth festival or even any gathering, for that matter, due to the simplest reason: Money. I have never been able to afford the experience, because realistically, one spends a lot more than the admission to the festival when going there and without that, there'd be no fun in going. Which leads into the second reason I have never gone: I have identified and dressed goth since my early teenage years, but none of my friends do, so there has never been anyone in my circle, willing to pay for a second ticket to come with me and I sure couldn't just cover that cost. Now, if I were to acquire _two_ tickets though...
Not trying to gather a pity-party, but that is the reason I would love to have a chance to go this year. Wishing the best of luck to everyone else with a reason also, eventually, I will end up there at some point, I am willing to believe.
I'd love seeing London After Midnight, VV, and The 69 Eyes especially, but the entire festival would be really great.

London after midnight is one of my favourite bands and Ville Valo would be so awesome to see I’m a huge fan :) , I haven’t had the chance to go to M’era Luna yet but it’s definitely on the bucket list, I’d be excited just to see the atmosphere the people and of course the music✌🏻🖤🤘🏻

I'm truly just so excited to get back to festivals and whatnot. Between the panini and life, I really haven't been able to do much for myself. Being stuck in Midwest USA doesn't make it easy either. Goth scene here is few and far between... Just cows... some corn maybe... In terms of bands, I'd be most excited to see L'Ame Immortelle and Within Temptation!

Me and my fiance have been watching y'all for years and I've known about Mera Luna for a while, but I had little hope of going anytime soon because of financial reasons. I think If I could go, the thing I'd be very excited about would be seeing London after Midnight, but most of all being around "my people". I live in a small southern town in the states and I've only seen one other goth person in my town at a Halloween store lol. My fiance listens to my music, but doesn't consider himself a goth...so it would just be cool to feel apart of the scene... especially on that level. Edit: It would also make a good birthday present for me since my birthday is August 17
I'm excited for London After Midnight, Fields of Nephilim and The 69 Eyes and would love to hear them live. I have never been to a gothic festival like this before and I would love to visit and enjoy this gothic atmosphere on M'era Luna.
In addition, I really like to travel to places where I have not been before. Also, I would like to buy merch of my favorite bands and meet people who have the same music taste. Also, I would like to try black eiscream (from your latest video blog M'era Lunas) and other food at the festival:) 🦇
For me it would be London after Midnight and the 69 Eyes. Been 10 years since I last went to a festival, so definitely long overdue lol
Frozn Plazma, Hocico, Within Temptation, Solar Fake and Joachim Witt would be my top picks from this year's line up. Looks like a solid show. Contest aside this has been a hope, along with Wave for the last few years. Being from Canada it's a bit of a hike, plus finding someone to go with, but I know one day I'll make it to these awesome festivals.

I would probably be most exited to be there and meet people. But the bands I would be most exited about are London after midnight and the 69 eyes.
You are so helpful with the information you have provided in this video. I live in the mid southern united states and would not have the first clue on how to get to the Mera Luna festival in Germany because, like you know, there are many things to consider. I want to go so bad and it is my dream to be able to go there. We know how to book flights on line however we would know nothing about the area in Germany at all once we get there. It sounds like all the hotels would be full which would be our preference. We wouldn’t know where to go or who to go to or who to pay to get what service on staying at a campground. It is great you are giving us a jump start on the information. Would you recommend us going to a travel agent here in the U.S. to set this trip up for us in August? I've never been to M'era Luna, however, I've seen so many videos/vlogs on UA-cam of people going there and I would definitely love to experience it one day! One band I would be excited to see is Within Temptation as I've listened to them since I was 12 years old (I probably would get emotional ngl haha) It would be a dream come true if I ever had the opportunity to go! 🖤🦇

I would love to mingle with the people at M'era Luna and just enjoy the moment of being there with like minded (and dressed) people, but also to see all the legends of the bands going there, espeically The 69 eyes, Subway to sally, Ashbury heights, VV, Project Pitchfork, London after midnight, Hocio just to mention the ones I would definitely see. And then get all of the bats I can get my fingers on to expand the collection at home.

Thanks for this opportunity! There are a lot of bands I'd love to see, I'd say I'm most excited for In Extremo, London After Midnight and Tanzwut. But what I'd really love about it are all the people! I don't really have friends who are into this kind of stuff and I haven't gotten the chance to attend festivals like these before, so this would be an amazing opportunity to meet more like-minded people!

They give me abit of a lisp for sure and I'm still or comfortable with them and working towards getting real ones but these are the small love bites ones so they are not as big as the usual ones so that helps!

I'd be most excited for Fields of the Nephlim and The 69 eyes. Both bands I've grown to love in the past few years, to be honest if I saw them live I'd probably end up crying. M'era Luna would be my first proper goth festival, and the fact I can now actually travel and be apart of this community worldwide is awesome! Good Luck everyone!

My wife and I have been talking about maybe going to M'era Luna to watch the great lineup. The bands we want to watch the most are VV, project pitchfork, solar flake, diary of dreams, Within Temptation, Subway to Sally, Hocico, the 69 eyes, goth minister, ashbury heights, frozen plasma, she hates emotions, heldmaschine!
What excites me the most is the opportunity to meet so many other Goths from across the world and possibly make new friends! And the opportunity to see London After Midnight live, they're one of my all time favorite bands!

I am pretty new to goth music and would love to find new artists. Too would I like to be in that crowd; I am very curious if I'd fit in or not, I have a post-punk/goth concert comming up and I am very excited. I will consider getting a ticket (consider, because I am autistic and it might be too overwhelming :p)

The thing I'm most excited for is well, everything! I'm so excited to see all the various bands, performers, and all of them. My other favorite thing I'd love to do is make purchases from small creators who are vending. But let's be honest the most important part and the part me and my partner would love to do most is be able to meet more people in the community! Around here there isn't a lot going on and it would be really great to meet people with more similar interest, and on an international level! Absolutely amazing!
Edit I love sisters of Mercy because they were my intro to goth rock and got me into the music aspect of the culture

After 10 years in a row cannot attend WGT so, what better occasion returning to the mighty M'era Luna? VV, London After Midnight and above all The 69 eyes will be my personal highlights. German goth festivals always feel like wonderland, something can't never happen in my small italian community. I heard about your channel by last year festival VLog and can't wait to be there again.

We had a great time to hang out with people who looked like same as we do 🙂 I never went to a festival, it woult be a new experience. Oh I'd be so so excited for a lot of things at the Mera Luna! Within Temptation when it comes to the acts, I'd love going into gothic town and shop beautiful accessories and to meet all the wonderful people we used to camp with in the last years. But one big point that really excites me is wearing our wedding outfits. My husband and I got married in Feist Style fashion, who we actually got to know through our first Mera Luna together and decided to wear nothing else but Feist fashion if we were ever to marry. So we did, and we love to wear the clothes again to the Mera Luna, relive the memories, feel gorgeous in it and just enjoy ourselfes and the acts!

Mera Luna weather is always extreme because of the bare airplane field. Harsh winds, no shade, temperatures feel much more extreme there. And the dust ist especially shitty for allergy people. (and german weather is a temperamental bitch)

God the idea of a 3 day long gothic disco is my idea of heaven. About once a month in my city theres a darkwave goth club night, and I always look forward to going, but I really sucks when I have to miss it, because it'll be awhile till the next one.

As a camping regular I do want to say that there is no such thing as camping allotment in the general area, just go walk and find a nice spot for the tent. ;)
Ah thank you for clarifying. We've never camped at the festival so I was going by the info on M'era Lunas website which states "you'll be escorted to your assigned allotment" but I must have been looking at the Gothic Garden camping or possibly the section about the 3rd party service that sets your tent up for you! Thats pretty cool that you can set up anywhere, and extra cool for groups who wanna join up together

Highly recommended this option, considering the train station and the airport are connected.
The train journey itself from Frankfurt to Hildesheim is quite a nice one too, despite being a pretty long one!
