I was in elementary school in early 00s and used to sing gibberish instead of actual lyrics because most of them were in English and it’s not my language Ramdidamdamdam sounds exactly what I would sing back then and also stylistically appropriate to those times so I love it 😂
I love it, can listen to it on repeat for half an hour and I'm still dancing 🕺😂 I like those Prodigy style sounds that pop up a couple of times, and I think it will definitely be a moment to remember seeing a full arena raving to this.
I think I completely understand the problem that the song might get a bit boring towards the end. But either way, this song makes me dance and having fun literrally every time I hear it... makes me forget all the trouble around me. I don't know how they achieve it, but they do it :D So guess i'm raving in Malmö 🕺
It's funny that everyone seems to have their own point of reference for the instrumental break. To me it sounds a lot like the one in Think About the Way (Ice Mc) from 1994, so yeah, firmly planted in the 90s.
I enjoy this song. The one pet peeve I have with it is that the last chorus starts out really big and dramatic with the toms, but then it doesn't build on that and they just switch all the tracks back on again. They could've done something cool with that by letting the toms continue all throughout that chorus, or adding something additional in there
There was a great deal of hype for this one upon its release which I think has now died down a tad. I don't know whether it was rejected from Melfest or something but one of the songwriters here has also worked on the Swedish entry this year. I think it's a decent effort and the result might be pretty good too.
Feels more 90s to me than early 2000s, but a lot of dance music in the early 2000s from what I remember (I was born in '96) still retained some of that 90s sound. We have a lot of 90s/early 2000s-inspired tracks this year. I would also throw Sweden, Finland, Netherlands and the UK in that category.
The synth in the bridge reminded me of the music for Motorhead, a racing game from 1998. That stabby, wet bass sound that can be found on the tracks of Goldbridge and Okkun Speedway.
Whenever I hear the bass synth in the song (the one you compare to Darude), it makes me think of the LB302 synth in the LMMS DAW (supposedly a TB303 emulation). Then again, maybe it's just because it's the bass synth I personally have the most experience with.
The genre of music that this is harkening back to consists of such songs as "Dam Dariram", "Ba Be Loo Be La", "Dam Dadi Doo", "Waka Laka", "Dabbi Doo", etc. Comparatively speaking, this one goes pretty light on the "nonsense lyrics" 😊
There are so many dance songs this year, which is fine, but some are bound to get lost. This and Georgia's feel like the least memorable with the least originality.
I could have liked this song, as it's the 90s sound I like (not the Dutch entry or the Finnish one). But I find it too formulaic and basic. I don't mind it really. If the genre were pizza, this would be the frozen type you'd chuck in the oven after a long day.
With good staging this can definitely do well in the televote. I am very hopeful that this will be impressive on the night. I think it certainly has top 10 (5?) potential
I like it, but I don't like that I do, if you see what I mean 🤣It's nostalgic and quite fun, but very silly, and this could go either way. It'll take a good, infectious live to do much.
Even if it is not the most innovative song, it's just addicting, you can't stop playing it and I feel with Kaleen we know we are going to have great staging. This is looking like a top 10 potential.
My winner this year 🥰 I love the mix between acid, eurodance and breaks And nope, the acid part is nothing like Darude or Moby, they never made acid tracks, it's more reminiscent of Kai Tracid or Mauro Picotto if we are talking about artist from 20 years ago
This song is pretty good for Eurovision 1998! :v The song is listenable but I'm not in love with it. I don't think dancing will rave over song in a song contest.. JS. _Who The Hell Is Edgar?_ was not beaten with this one.
This is repetitive, but at least this has more lyrics than Unforgettable, all I can remember from that song is "she's unforgettable". I do fear this will not have a stage performance that is as good.
This one is very meh for me, I give it a 6. Hope it doesn't qualify... others are saying it's "fun" but it isn't a fun song to me. Not the worst, but far from the best.
What is the problem with a beat carrying the song? I dont like if vocals are the sole purpose to listen to a song. The beat is original and is catchy. It might feel very basic but so is Arcade(2019) typical pop ballad That you dont appreciate the beat of a song doesnt mean it sucks it just isnt for you. I listen to songs mainly for the beat and love to analyze it
It's nostalgic for some people as it brings back 2000s and 90s vibes. It does sound a bit like Cascada with 90s synth. Although I do like this song, I think the Netherlands did it better because there is an actual back story to their song. We Will Rave is much more generic and boring in terms of their lyrics.
@@flopjul4581 you cannot call arcade a basic ballad, that song had a lot of meaning, great lyrics, amazing vocals, beautiful melody lines and top tier production. We will rave lacks a clear point of view and is just riding the trend of 90’s music coming back. I would not be complaining about the song if the beat that it was carried by was actually good, but its very basic.
The "chorus" of this song got stuck in my head, and I hate it cause I don't find the song very good. For a party and dancing it would be great, I'd like to hear that if I went to the disco, but it's not the kind of music I listen to, it has nothing artistic in the way I like, contrary to Belgium, Italy, Portugal... It's a mid table song to me, I preferred the song from last year which was one of my favourites
"OK, Loreen won with a vanilla euro dance song last year, so let´s do somthing like that, just way worse" .... pure garbage, especially compared to last year´s Poe entry......greetings from Vienna ;)
Ugh. Boring as heck. I get so discouraged when reactors (not you, Rachel) say that an awful song might perform well because of the "staging". Ugh. Some with Georgia. Dumb songs with great dancers. No thank you.
I think this song is wayyyy overrated. Not bad, but sounds really dated, not bring anything new to euro dance. Is almost a copy paste. So... 6,0/10 for me. And she is a dançar, but she can sing?
Cause everytime we touch i get this feeling 🎶
She's a world-class dancer. It will come to life on stage. That's what it was written for. For a tv show. No hidden meaning, only fun.
She is my winner. Fun fact - She was stage director for SloMo ☺️
Maybe it's the nostalgia feel from the 90s and such but she's my current winner too. I LOVE this song. Poland is my #2.
@@JeremyAndrosoffThis song and Poland are my favourites too.
She was not, stage director for Spain but in JESC
I was in elementary school in early 00s and used to sing gibberish instead of actual lyrics because most of them were in English and it’s not my language
Ramdidamdamdam sounds exactly what I would sing back then and also stylistically appropriate to those times so I love it 😂
Finland: Wouldn't it be funny if we parodied an early 2000s Euro dance song?
Austria: 🙄📝
This will be a huge dance performance too-should be strongly considerated
I feel like this is the type of song that you would hear blaring at a nightclub and give me a headache!!! 🇦🇹🇦🇹🇦🇹
This song sounds like a patchwork of so many songs. Here is another one I hear, in the stanza/intro: Moonlight Shadow by Mike Oldfield
you are absolutely right about the early 2000s vibes. I could even tmagine this as a Eurovision entry anywhen between 1998 and 2003.
Thank you Rachel for your videos, I'm really looking forward for your videos every evening 😇
I love it, can listen to it on repeat for half an hour and I'm still dancing 🕺😂
I like those Prodigy style sounds that pop up a couple of times, and I think it will definitely be a moment to remember seeing a full arena raving to this.
Rachel: "I don't like gibberish lyrics"
Baby Lasagna: "Rim tim tagi tagi dim dim dim"
Hahaaaa 🤭😂
At least he didn’t try and rhyme that with something though, he was more mimicking the guitar patterns
My winner at the moment, can't wait to see it live
That break reminds me a lot of the prodigy!! also loving the cure shirt
Thanks!!
Rachel you are my favorite Eurovision reactor so thanks for making your videos I’m always looking forward to hear your thoughts 😊
Kaleen said we only ought to drink distilled tap water when we all rave ! #ProudRaver
Reminds me a lot of Rhythm is a Dancer and Mr Vain, all that sort of stuff...
I think I completely understand the problem that the song might get a bit boring towards the end. I like the energy and it will get the crowd going in the show(s). Meanwhile, It is hard to be too expectant of a song called We will rave.
My top 3 faves so far are Croatia, Austria and Netherlands. I LOVE that breakbeat at 6:00 and that drop at 6:08 is FIRE!
I enjoy this song. The one pet peeve I have with it is that the last chorus starts out really big and dramatic with the toms, but then it doesn't build on that and they just switch all the tracks back on again. They could've done something cool with that by letting the toms continue all throughout that chorus, or adding something additional in there
love this song so much its so good and catchy i am in love with this song sure top 3 top 5 matriaal in the final love from the netherlands to austria
Great song. Its third my list. I hope its go final.
Final easy! In final top 10 likely somewhere between 5th and 10th place.
Hey Rachel, you named Four Strings! I absolutely loved that Trance project ❤ also Darude ,Olive... Those times!
Four strings is underrated and it makes me sad. ‘Take me away’ deserved world wide recognition in 2002
It reminds me Alex C, Inna, Pakito, Cascada, Benny Benassi sooo much. Just back to my childhood😄
Same here, the sort of music I’d fling myself around the living room too as a crazy 6 year old

The synth also reminds me of a song called 'Romeo Ja Julia' by Movetron (another Finnish artist)
I totally felt the same. Sound is early 2000s but with a later Cascade style vocal performance
I really like the Paffendorf comparison here. Good analysis!
This song is in the rather big sack of mine this year, the sack of «Not in my top, not in my bottom.
6/10

The Cure ❤
This year its Eurovision-dance party. I hope they will bring proper raving to the stage. I like the leaked performance better than this video.
Totally agree. Cascada vibes. We all know how that went in Eurovision.
The 4 Strings mention! My past teenage self is so happy. Edit: and Olive! I love, love, love your references.
We have similar taste then!!
Im curious to see when you react to Portugal ;)
it reminds me more the song of ice mc - think about the way than be cool

a solid 10
Darude mentioned, TORILLE!!!
I want to find a club to play this song so I can rave!!
Hope she doesnt get lost with opening semi 2 letsee im from austria and its mx favvsong from us since 2016
There are so many dance songs this year, which is fine, but some are bound to get lost. This and Georgia's feel like the least memorable with the least originality.
I think considering this is a professional dancer, choreographer, and set designer we can talk about a winner allert
Fun fact: She staged Chanel's entire performance. She's going to devour Malta and Cyprus for dinner on the Esc stage.
I reckon you’re right
@@ThePeaceAroundoh I forgot about Georgia. But I am not really fond of it at the moment

When will you be reacting to Albania Revamp?
Even if it is not the most innovative song, it's just addicting, you can't stop playing it and I feel with Kaleen we know we are going to have great staging. This is looking like a top 10 potential.
OMG, It sounds like Madonna's Girl Gone Wild 🙈
What is this 2001 album you mentioned? :)
It’s Now That’s What I Call Music 52 😅
I don't have it in my top 10,
maybe it can be in the final
It's easily making the final; will be top 3/5 of the semi
It's a good song... But why does it give me a hint of plenty autotune? I'm a bit sceptical on how well this is gonna be performed on stage
In a year where the are quite a lot of songs that I really don't like, this takes my last place, that's how much I can't stand it.
Interesting you mention HALO - because I can't help feeling were in the same territory here, in terms of this being sung live..
We aren't at all, Kaleen is much more experienced compared to Pia Maria. There are live performances where you can see she sings well live
My winner this year 🥰
I love the mix between acid, eurodance and breaks

Serbia is long overdue...
The chorus is the weak point for me, gets annoying, the stop and then it coming back yet again as well.
You look absolutely gorgeous! (I'm gay)
Hahahaa thanks 🤭
