Imho, Viola owned the character of AK. Kerry Washington actually annoyed me, (well Olivia Pope), more than a few times. A lot of her choices didn't make sense to me. I will admit that I did like the crossover episodes, and the little showdown in the hair salon. Not only did she hold her own, but I think she actually pulled off that gravitas needed to say no to Olivia-not sure how many other actresses would have done it so well!
Both the character and actress for HTGAWM, belonged to Viola! She had the guts to play the strong and vulnerable, and she is so very eloquent, and funny in interviews. AK, can be very agressive, but when she plays a certain aspect of her character she gjves it her all. Or that is how i thought of it.
But some of my favourite scenes were with her inspiration and tv mom Cicely Tyson RIP. Seeing her turn into that vulnerable girl again, like Nate and his Pops, were captivating, and they played off each other so well. I loved Miss Ophelia! X

She wasn't a professor for all 8 semesters straight tho.. Each season is one semester roughly. 3rd season i.e. 3rd semester is when Annalise was removed by the university Board as a professor and she starts a legal clinic

Viola Davis made her role, the way she was out there putting her entire heart and soul into being Annalise Keating is what made this show for me
When I knew a big death was coming I would wait for her reaction, and when season 3 came and we find out who died I was right there sobbing with her, not even that much because of the death but it felt like she lost her child in that scene

Wes was good and Rebecca. But had to kill her but was 😥 and also beside volu Ashton was good to but killed him to :(
He was annoying during season 1 and his love story with Rebecca just did not work because there was just no chemistry. BUT he redeemed himself after moving on from the whole Rebecca's fiasco.
They killed Wes just when he was starting to get interesting.
His relationship with Maggie was actually cute and his scenes with Annalise (especially when he was helping her in the bathroom after she got drunk) were awesome.
I wanted to see more mom/son scenes between them!!

@M M Yeah, Wes and Laurel wasn't good either. But it turned out good just because of his death. That made Wes and Laurel special because of laurel's seek for vengence and cuz of her pregnancy. But the two of them actually beeing together was weird
My best character is Frank and I like Michaela too. Wes is kind of annoying and I didn't care for his character that much.

Biggest mistake is that they advanced way too quickly. Sam's murder should resonate well up to three season, with the first 2 season Villains were the Keatings (Sam and his sister), Rebbecca died in Season 2 instead of 1. Season 3 then explore the corruption of the justice system, with the Millstones as main antagonist, and Wes died here as he is in the show. Then Season 4 we moved forward with Annalise's downward spiral from Wes's death and many other issues, and have the Castillos as the main villain up to Season 5, where Laurel taking down her family along with her, leaving Christopher behind for Annalise to take care. Season 6 we explore Michaela's past and how everything ties her to Annalise, and a hint of Annalise's fight against the injustice of the law. Season 7 is Annalise's battle against the injustice and Connor backstory. and Season 8 will end with Annalise's Death just before winning the Justice war against the government, closing the show with a strong statement that pursuing justice is something dangerous, but it's the right thing to do as Connor, Michaela, and Asher take on the torch of righteousness from Annalise, finally being the good guys, absolving their sins and closing the show on a Bittersweet Ending.
i think what made the series standout is the plots every season, what you described now would be like kinda boring drama series, although some of those ideas are cool, but for sue the plots of the previous seasons were absolute fantastic.
@@mofara788 It is, what I'm saying is that as the seasons progressed, it's kinda burned out quickly. It's apparent that the writer didn't know exactly what to do with each character's storyline. For a tree to be able to grow big, they need a strong roots to handle the wheight of it's body. Without adequate roots it'll collapse on it's wheight. The same is with HTGAWM, it got the opporturnity to be a lot longer than it is now, but as they don't set up their base story deeply, everything seems shallow and unexplored, like Asher's backstory kinda wasted and unexplored, while the Castillos were abruptly halted during Jorge's imprisonment, and now they're back again. But this is my opinion tho.
@@AlexS-oj8qf for myself i really enjoyed how they split the seasons into two part, they twist things in part one, and reveal every thing in a very tense way at the second part. that's what makes it a unique series.
The show is called How to Get Away with Murder not Get to know the class. It made sense that every season had its own murder mystery and nothing was dragged on for too long. Your suggestion might actually work but for a different show.
@@ednajay5724 FACT THE SHOW WAS ENJOYABLE BECAUSE IT WASN'T DRAGGED ON AN ON WITH BORING EXTRA STORYLINE. EVERY EPISODE HAD YOU CLENCHING YOUR FIST WONDERING WATS NEXT THE TWIST THE TURN. EVEN THOUGH I WISH BONNIE AND FRANK HAD THEIR HAPPY ENDING IT MADE SENSE THAT THEY DIE THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO SUFFER ANYMORE.
