That's because you weren't just hearing compression on the original version. There are some very distinctive effects on the vocals in the original that are missing here.
00:41 Damm, when my dad and I jammed to "ana po teh, apo teh, peh teh, peh teh, po teh pee" as a kid, it was really "COME ON, PUSH IT, C'MON PUSH IT, LISTEN, LISTEN, PUSH IT, PEACE"
I was thinking of this song at 3AM to find this just uploaded. I’ve wondered what the lyrics were since I was a child. So cool that these samples were discovered. Thank you! I think I’ll start a new game to celebrate.
Don't just thank me, I only put the samples together and edited them. Thank the folks at WarioForums for actually finding them. (link in the description)
The problem is that those vocals were most likely recorded by Nintendo's staff, so they're not gonna be publically available. The only possibility would be if Nintendo made a remake of this game.
Man it’s so crazy after 20 years to finally hear what the super low voice was saying this whole time. Turns out it was a hidden male voice this whole time
This is absolutely amazing! I was not expecting it to be that friggin clear!! Thank you so much for sharing this, it's a very fine and well job done! I use to play the hell out of this game as a kid growing up ❤
I always thought the “now work it!” part was “now run kitty! Run kitty!” cuz it was around that part in the intro that the black cat saw where Wario was heading and needed to catch up with his car so she could help him on his mission
@@plrusek I've actually checked out the WL4 portion of the leak, but the other vocals aren't any higher quality than in the final version. At least they're certainly not uncompressed.
I knew it! I knew she swore! 😂 right? it's taken many years, but me stumbling down a rabbit hole today, I come across this beauty! Awesome to hear it sounding so crisp. I bloody love this game, cheers for the upload!!
I mean, sort of. She says "motherfunky", which is like a euphemism. Like "monkey fighting" or "monday to friday". 😛 At least I think so. Maybe it's some other funk term.
now see, something like this (and a remix with updated instruments) should be a Wario BGM track preserved in Smash Bros, seeing as they always do like 2 versions of every vocal theme from the Ware games
So... after i beat wario land 4 a few weeks ago i thought about these compressed voice lines or the Acapella sounds and how they gave the game even more charm and personality then it already had... And my god hearing it with such a clean Sound is very touching for me... i only played through the game one time and i already feel a bit of nostalgia with it. This game truly is something special and im ashamed of myself because of the fact that i ignored this absolute masterpiece for so long!
sounds great! so that's where the other vocals are from. Glad to have uh, accidentally kick-started this, though what you and the people on that forum did is really amazing :D
This is very impressive, although you're missing some of the distinctive vocal processing that is the signature sound of WL4 and WarioWare. There's a warbly chorus type effect that is most noticeable on the low male vocals.
I feel this question is redundant, but is Mega Party Game$' soundfont also applicable for making uncompressed versions of the rest of the Mega Microgame$ ost that didn't return in MPG (such as the various unlockable minigames, and to a lesser extent the unused tracks)? …And probably also Twisted and Touched? They seem to continue having the same soundfont, but I can't tell if either of them are still the classic WL4 instruments.
There's probably a few things you could remake with that, but I haven't tried it. Much like the WL4 songs, a lot of them would prolly still be incomplete.
Like I've said to someone else in the comments here, the problem is that those vocals were most likely recorded by Nintendo's staff, so they're not gonna be publically available. I only had these in the first place because they were from publically available sound libraries. The only other possibility would be if Nintendo made a remake of this game.
Oh my.. are really all the voice samples found? =O It sounds so weird because all the rest of the instruments are still somewhat low quality. That makes me wonder.. the 'hurry up' soundtrack also makes use of a particular voice sample, but it's used as an instrument. Has that one also been found? And what about the 'o-yeah!' Voice at the start of Doodle woods?
According to PattehRose from the Forums, a lot of the samples are from a sound library called "Midi Mark Vocal Bytes". Check the last few posts of the thread I linked in the description. They talk about it there. Might be worth asking them about it. As for the Doodle Woods sound, I'm pretty sure that an "okay". I wonder what the Hurry Up theme would sound like if someone just recorded themselves saying "Ihoge" like that sample and turning it into an instrument, and then replacing the old sound with it. :P Probably really weird. I'd do it myself if I had any idea how.
@@RoyalGraphX even if that's true, the drums are way too quiet in the mix, the snare is quieter than the other drum sounds for some reason, and it makes the song less enjoyable to listen to

Here's a version with only the vocals:

I want a MIDI version of the complete uncompressed soundtrack.
Please do the whole OST
Oh lord, this was not meant to be heard in such quality
It actually wasn't, since at this quality it's obvious it was the result of Japanese people piecing together random English vocals.
@@rjd1922 so they randomly picked peace and unity, then mother f**k yeah? That sounds so heartless! ;)
@@verneattaboi6517 It's "motherfunky".

Nah it’s just Wario’s AHAEHAHAEHAH
Deciphering gba compression is the definitely the greatest feat of all time. These lyrics however aren't
