Like if this is what you get all the time from being a euphonium player:
    "What instrument is that?"
    "A euphonium"
    "Whats that?'
    "It's like a small tuba.."

    Story of my life!
"You're in band? What do you play?"

"....Still don't know what you're taking about."

OOOH I live for this! Euphonium is given little to no credit. There are countless times when I've been asked what I play because my mouthpiece is on the table and they either guess Trumpet or Tuba and I have to control myself to not choke them. Let's go Euphoniums (or baritones stfu).

Growing up I learned Bb Trumpet. It wasn't until much later did I learn about the baritone/euphonium horn. I love the warm sound they produce, and I decided to try one out. The transition was not too hard and I had a great time playing it in a small band. What a great instrument.

I have had the pleasure of meeting Bowman. David and Brian are right up there with each other now. Being that David is young....I can't imagine him any better than he is now. He still many decades of his career left. David will probably end up being the best EVER.

Anyone want to know my opinion? Stop arguing about the instruments and just admire the beauty they ALL have to offer!!

    Good Point.
I was ranting rather than thinking back to Holst's love for the beautiful instrument.
    Thanks for that!!! :-D
