Why does throat singing speak to my soul? I start listening to different videos and, the next thing I know, it’s two hours later! Sir, your talent is such a blessing to so many people! Thank you for sharing!
It amazes me how similar Mongolian and Scottish tunes sound , especially if Gàidhlig is used. Two completely seperate cultures and yet languages with similar sounds and music of similar styles.
Melodies and tunes spread quite far, since musicians living in a given area might copy or learn a tune from a travelling musician and write lyrics for it in their own language. It genuinely wouldn't surprise me if the melody Mr. Vaanchig is playing shares a common ancestor of sorts with some Scottish folk songs.
I just want to thank this man I'm 14 and I was recently in the hospital for almost a week and every night I would listen to and fall asleep to this and chandmani nutag he has such a great voice both throat and normal singing and the instruments are just beautiful athletically and musically
This is wonderful. It must be some kind of calling song, because hearing it made me feel like I should put on my hat and grab my pack and start walking to wherever this was coming from- like it was time to come now, things are starting. Thanks for posting this.
It’s so rare to hear him sing in a style other than throat singing. And to have both styles showcased in one video! Absolutely amazing and what a beautiful voice in both respects. Always a fan
I'm not entirely sure why but this song fills me with so much emotion despite me not understand the words, something about the way they are said makes me cry tears of joy and longing. It paints such a vivid and beautiful image of the Altai mountains and the surrounding valleys and steppe, and it really makes me want to go there. Out of every piece of music I have listen to in my entire life, I have no idea why I connect with this one so much, but regardless it has quickly become one of my favorite songs of all time.
Same here. Even children in my family get quiet and want to listen more of Batzorig singing, mongolian singing generally and seeing the beautiful scenery. I guess we humans need this more than anything.

"In the morning, I lose weight I just sit in the middle of the day From generation to generation, they are obese Wide, tall, ore rich gray Altai and Khangai The back of Khovd is sloping The mineral water is just springing up The coyote is a snail The juniper tree is just a bunch Abundant, beautiful, rich gray Altai and Khangai Melt the glass of snow It just flows Fresh vegetables grow Birds are chirping Really weird, beautiful, gray Altai and Khangai The ridge of Suukhai mountain is sloping Shorovgor goats are yellow Darzai's back is bent The red one is in conflict Really weird, beautiful, gray Altai and Khangai"
i've always been highly attracted to Mongol Throat singing, this dude just straight nails it for me and i've begun to figure out how to do it lol so fun, and such great music :)
I absolutely agree with the comment below. You don't have to understand the words to feel the passion. Beautiful song. I now have all your available albums on deezer music. You ROCK
In a world recovering from tragedy and pestilence, a lone mystic bard of the east comes back to earth after a long and deep slumber with one main objective: use his gift of music to heal the planet and it's forsaken denizens by playing his songs telling stories of great men and prosperous times in his realm. He will give hope to many in this turbulent time and once order and prosperity is restored, he will go back to his slumber, awaiting humanity and yet again ready to save the denizens of Earth in their darkest hour. Thank you mystic bard man.
You know a song is legendary when you don't understand a single word but still love it
Very true lol
There’s a strong sense of many languages coming from this mans vocal lyrics
Yes yes yes

Thanks, now I can sing along
There are heavy morning mists
This day is especially cloudy
While ancient it is fertile and plentiful
Vast, in lofty grey, massive and majestic
Oh my Altai of both mountainous and fertile pastures
A ridged mountain range towers beyond Khovd there
Mineral waters pulsate nearby it
There is the quacking of Mandarin ducks
The cedar forests are exalted here
Their abundant generosity, lovely and plentiful
Oh my Altai of both mountainous and fertile pastures
The snows quickly melt away
There are dispersing flowing waters
Fresh green crops growing here
The cockoo bird cries alone there
It was truly captivating rich and sweet
Oh my Altai of both mountainous and fertile pastures
Tamarisk mountain ranges tower only there
There are at altitude sallow goats
The Darzai rise beyond, only there
There are red mountain goats clashing
Indeed there is an intriguing beauty
Oh my Altai of mountainous and fertile pastures
Underrated

The year is 1234. A battle-worn soldier from the Mongol empire longs for home as his 23 year campaign against the mighty Jin dynasty has finally reached a conclusion. The tavern keeper pours an aged kumis in a recently acquired skull reaped from a fallen Jin adversary. As the Mongol solider gulps his thirst quenching fermented beverage, he notices an idle musician in the corner. The soldier turns to the musician "You there! Play me a song."

Incredible how pleasurable it is to listen to this one man show. You sir, have an amazing voice & your musical talent is brilliant.
Turn on auto-generated subtitles.
They go:
Foreign! [Music] [Applause] Foreign...
The subtitles think the singing is Applause 😂
It is applause. The applause of the human spirit.
Every time Batzorig sings I get goosebumps. YOU'RE THE BEST BATZORIG!!!!
You are an International Treasure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This could very well be a appalachian hillbilly song. Humanity is a marvelous thing to witness sometimes
I was thinking the same....
The studio recording does true justice to his voice
Anybody else find this strangely relaxing
Me, me, me!
:o his normal singing voice
BLESSED
Thirdvector youre the guy who thought me, an american female was a polish dude right?
SOME
He turned a global pandemic, a rising battle of political ideals, a scorched environment around the globe.........and he turned it into a new golden age. This is just the start
I was not expecting his non throat singing voice to BE THAT GOOD
His voice when he’s not throat singing is so nice
Right! It caught me so so off guard
Khusugtun
"In the morning, I lose weight
I just sit in the middle of the day
From generation to generation, they are obese
Wide, tall, ore rich gray
Altai and Khangai
The back of Khovd is sloping
The mineral water is just springing up
The coyote is a snail
The juniper tree is just a bunch
Abundant, beautiful, rich gray
Altai and Khangai
Melt the glass of snow
It just flows
Fresh vegetables grow
Birds are chirping
Really weird, beautiful, gray
Altai and Khangai
The ridge of Suukhai mountain is sloping
Shorovgor goats are yellow
Darzai's back is bent
The red one is in conflict
Really weird, beautiful, gray
Altai and Khangai"
Thanks for the lyrics

I absolutely agree with the comment below. You don't have to understand the words to feel the passion. Beautiful song. I now have all your available albums on deezer music. You ROCK
I never get tired of this kind of music
There's something so majestic to it.
Me either, surprisingly late in life finding it. (thanks ghost of tsushima) Better late than never!
If I remember correctly, this song was playing during the wedding scene in Marco Polo season 2. That was a nice set.
Mr Batzorig blessing us again🙏🏻
I started from a mountain and here I am
Amazing as always Mr. Batzorig!!!
He looks like that one very cool old man in a vast, distant village, which everyone loves to be around
Keep posting
Blasting the streets of Monroe, Wa with your vibrations.
Absolutely beautiful performance as always Batzorig, much love to you and your family
The jaunty staccato at 2:12 absolutely sent me

In a world recovering from tragedy and pestilence, a lone mystic bard of the east comes back to earth after a long and deep slumber with one main objective: use his gift of music to heal the planet and it's forsaken denizens by playing his songs telling stories of great men and prosperous times in his realm. He will give hope to many in this turbulent time and once order and prosperity is restored, he will go back to his slumber, awaiting humanity and yet again ready to save the denizens of Earth in their darkest hour. Thank you mystic bard man.
