I still recall the days, when people like "SHOBHA DE' insulted marathi movies on MAHA Govt Decision to make screening of marathi movies mandatory at prime time slot in multiplex in order to support marathi movie to flourish economically. New Gen Marathi films are big slaps on these narrow minded people. We should feel proud of marathi films being INDIANS as most of them are screening in every INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVALS. Should i mention it here most of the directors of these films belongs to humble backgrounds or rural back ground. Bhaurao Karhade director/producer of "KHWADA" award winning marathi movie has sold his 5 acres of farmland in order to create this masterpiece. Truely these talent from rural area are ignited souls!! JAI HO!!!!

thanks a lot for this good series please keep it up this at least for a year, I am sure you will not get the shortage of Good Marathi films. However, I am sad that multiplexes are not providing "Prime Time Screens " to Marathi Films (though it is Law to provide minimum no of Prime Time Screens to Marathi Films, in Maharashtra.)
I am come from Hindi speaking state(m.p) but fond of Marathi cinema as well as bengla cinema and I realize that our country regional cinema is much better than mainstream cinema (bollywood) in terms of give us splendid serious cinema which touch various social issues.
sanjay ojha sir, बंगाली movies भी बहोत सुंदर होती है। भारतीय फिल्म्स सभी भाषा में बेहतरीन और एक से एक बनाई जाती है, परंतु marketing budget बहोत कम होणे के कारण सबको उतना exposure नहीं मिलता। गंभीर ही नही बलकी मनोरंजनात्मक , हलकी फुलकी भी फिलमे सभी भाषा में बधिया बननती हैं। लेकीन फिर भी multiplex owners उन सभी फिल्मओ के साथ भेदभाव वाला रवैया अपनाते है। दिक्कत तो ये है की कानूनन multiplex's को कम से कम जितनी screens देणी चाहीये उतनि दियी जाती नही और सरकार उनकी lisence रद्द नही करती। महाराष्ट्र मे तो सभी सरकारो का रवैया मराठी की मामलो मे उदासीन राहा है, कानून है लेकीन कोई पालन नही करता तो उसका ईस्तेमाल नहीं करते, चाहे वो मराठी फिलमे हो, या दुकानो पर देवनागरी लिपी मे नाम ना लिखाना हो, हर जगह कानून होते हुये भी सरकार कारवाई नाही करती। जलद ही मराठी भाषा विलुप्त हो जायेगी तब बस यही फिलमे याद दिलाएनगी की कभी मराठी नाम की भाषा भी थी।
