8 years ago I began a search for a good Kawasaki Voyager xii. After 5 years I found a stunning 1991 model with just over 10,000 original miles on it, fully documented, and the guy selling it had owned it from 400 miles old. I quickly arranged to see the bike, fell in love on the spot, and didn't barter him a single dime on the price. I truly felt sorry for him as he was only selling it because his wife was forcing his hand. 3 years later and I have done 3,000 miles on it, and it has so much character it defies belief. I love the sound of the exhaust as you open her up, and she is so stable on the highway. My 16 year old son loves riding pillion, saying the pillion seat is like an armchair. At 32 years old (the bike) I am amazed that everything works just as it did the day it left the factory. Indeed the bike itself looks pretty much as it would have done back in 1991. No nasty noises, no smoke, no oily smells, and for such an old bike it goes too. I reckon my Voyager is the match for this one in the video...except mine ain't for sale! Regards, Bib.
I am driving 500 miles in the morning to get one of these! I found a 1986 with 17,000 miles on it and it was stored indoors whenever it was not used. I am so glad I found it, only $1000.00!
I have a 1986 , Voyager in red , when it's detailed out it beautiful . I've owned many bikes , I also have a 1989 Yamaha venture Royale ( both for sale ) but the one I like the most is this bike , just a great bike.
Amazingly maintained and beautiful appearance. The voyager xii was an amazing sport luxury tourer that bested the Goldwing 1200 in performance and cost less. With brake and suspension improvements this is a relevant machine for today. Love it!
My uncle had a 1986 model. Looked just like that. His was a burgundy red color. Took that thing cross country a few times. Smoothest riding bike comparable to the Honda Gold Wing.
A friend of mine had similar bike , infact might of been a earlier model .he put it on side stand sloping down hill and it moved forward hence going on its side. Took three of us to pick it up . one mile down the road it stopped, never again to fire up .y I don't know .nice bike ken
@@outdoorsjoe1 If you feel up to it I would love a more detailed account. Reason being I picked up a 1991 model of my own yesterday and am wondering what I can look forward to....
I guess ya can’t post Facebook picture links here. Parked my 1300 6 cylinder Voyage behind one of these 4 cylinders at the Peoria IL. TT race 2013. One could search my page for proof.

Man this bike is cool as they come, AMAZING
What an absolute stunner, just a perfect specimen of a Voyager XII. Amazing. I'd dearly love to know what this sold for :)
Got a 2003 Xii with 81K and still purring like a kitten! 😁
Nice bike , Kawasaki's attempt at doing a gold wing 👍
And with the exception of long distance freeway touring, better in just about every aspect.
Oh man, I always wondered where all those ten years went...
Hello from Finland. Lovely video. Super clean bike and guys, who appreciate it.. 👍.

41 years ago...? 1986 was the first year for the ZG1200A1.
Why they stopped making the bike and stuffed that 1700 CC in the new bubble cruiser blows my mind! I am trying to buy one of these now!
wonder how much it sold for??
Looks awesome! Looking into picking up a 1986 next week.
Did you get your Voyager?
@@BibtheBoulder Yes sir I did! Paid 500 dollars for it and had to replace the starter chain and tensioner and a few other things but good solid bike!
