- Karl Keane is one of the bright sparks in US Rugby.
Keane was originally born in Dublin, Ireland where he started playing Rugby, and moved to the states at around age 11 or 12. He has captained his club side in Washington state, the Eastside Lions, for four years. This year he was named the number 1 scrumhalf in the USA and was subsequently picked on the USA u18s in San Diego, and then again on the most recent squad that gathered in Canada. He was the vice captain of that team and he swept Canada in a three game series. Next year he will be be heading to the Saint Mary’s College of California, one of the top rugby universities in America. Keane will also be looking to gain interest from any pro academies, as that is his eventual goal.

If u want to make it in rugby then make the move to nz and spend a year there. You will become a much more polished football player than spending 5 yrs in college. Honestly, you will love it there and won't regret it
