Women in the dry stone wall business

In late April 2023, I caught up with several dry stone wallers, two of whom were women. In a male-dominated industry, I sought to understand their experience and how being in the minority affected the way they approached their work, and whether it had conjured up any discrimination in their day-to-day lives.
I caught up with Lydia and Bert Noble - the brother and sister duo behind Dry Stone TV and their business, Noble Stonework. I also caught up with Tracey Blackwell, a waller who has been in the profession since the early '00s. All three gave me terrific insights into the industry across a great day of filming in the Yorkshire countryside.
