Very thrilling video. I experienced similar conditions in 2002 on Endeavour in Force 10 off Land's End at night, Capt Blake. We were clipped on to life lines the whole time and only a few people allowed on deck at one time. We had two people injured by the wheel and had to put into Falmouth for a doctor and also to replace a broken forestay.
ouch! I never saw it that bad but I do recall one night got very rough and everyone was strapped to a web of lines for safety. I was enjoying my comfortable hammock at the time although the nerves prevented much sleep.
@Kevyweeman: Where and when was this? And who was the captain at the time? We had similar conditions (in 2002) with the replica a number of times in the Southern Ocean (Australia/New Zealand to Rio via Cape Horn). With safety lines rigged as mentioned by others here.
What a wonderful experience............but that roll and yaw in a following sea....in my sailing days (now long past) I didn't last long - the best thing to do was to go straight to the leeward side, stick a few fingers down my throat and get it over and done with. I was then OK.
Some, if not many, areopen for volenters. I guess those that put in money and/or helped to restore or maintain get the top of the list. Seems like there was a video on that! Of course, may will apply, few will be chosen!

thanks for the comments. Yes we had similar nights with the web of life lines there for our safety when it became rough. an amazing voyage all in all.

Agreed, good strategy! :-)
I'd love to gout on this ship for a day or maybe even overnight :) But ill bet it costs a fortune? I hope not. Definitely on the bucket list
Jason, this 10 day voyage costed around $400 per day. Do it - wonderful experience particularly being on the bow sprit
in the middle of the night watching her plough through the water and making the plankton glow....
