I just can't get enough of Cindy cashdollar. Redd Volkaert also is amazing. Here in Europe where this kind of music is utterly unknown, for years I thought it was dead since the end of the forties, when rock and roll started to take over..
Stuck here in shelter in place and I used to Cindy’s website and some elbow grease to hitch up the action on an electric guitar and convert it into something like a lap steel.
She has some students, she lives in South Austin and when she's playing she is always in for a chat or a photo...check her schedule or Redd's,she is very busy...this fortunately means there \'s still work for her...She's great, believe me!!!
Wow! This really swings, totally BAD solos from everyone, and awesome bends and slides from Cindy on the pedal steel! I especially like the "cool" tone of the Telecaster.
@@billyee4161.... She's playing an early/mid 1950's Double neck Fender "String Master"... Console Steel, no pedals or knee levers. Console Steels are "big brothers" to Lap Steels.

Cindy is a fantastic woman,I am happy she's among my small circle of friends....Love her too!!
I'd love to hear a collaboration between Cindy and Billy Strings...
Go Cindy go. Great video.
Awesome video, HudsonBendTX! Nothing like good ol' Texas swing, especially on a beautiful Austin fall day!
cindy is fab. her album "slide show" is terrific.
Two of my favorite musicians....I'd love to join their jam. Texas swing never taste better !
Love to see Cindy smile!!!

Wow, I found this video again after 13 years.
Damn, that is seriously good stuff.
Great guitar licks from Red and Cindy. The piano and bass are no slouches either. Drums don't overdo it, they just fit right in the groove.
They play both kinds of music. Country and Western
Nice job shooting this too!
HA! They are lip syncing to this song - ROFL!
Some real picking - good job, thanks for posting this!
awesome
What model of Peavey is Red playing? When I saw him years ago in Austin he was playing a twin....Great picker...
Redd is great...a player's player, vastly unappreciated by the general public.
@goingjolly ..actually Cindy plays non-pedal steel..

Let's not overlook the late Rich Harney on keyboards.
What tuning is Cindy using on this track?
Why is nobody dancing? ? ?
I always wanted to shoot her portrait. Maybe someday....if I ever get back to that weird city. Redd too.
Man Cindy is good and Red too!
Bb
Austin is where real country music is played. Hell, where real music "period" is played.

She's not playing a pedal steel.
@@1938norwegian Okay, sorry.

What's the name of this song?
+Dan Ader Sounds like Twin Guitar Special
@blargfromouterspace It's hot as hell in Austin in summertime.
if cindy was my wife i would be the happiest guy in the universe !!!
There's a rule in Texas where you're not allowed to dance at 'Book Festivals'.
I find her amazing. It's harder to play lap than my 8P 5Knee Zum
It's all too tasty!!
@rleary1
Well of cource - you end up in hell if you dance at a book festival...
